Lead Music Therapist

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

Contract: Permanent, 28-35 hours days per week, 4-5 days per week

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative therapies centre and in schools.  We work primarily with adoptive and connected carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties.  We are a trauma-informed service and have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well-established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy, art therapy and narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special Guardianship Order.  We have a purpose built therapy building and have recently built a music studio for our adolescent work.  We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. About the role

We are seeking an experienced HCPC qualified Music Therapist to provide leadership, supervision and management of music therapists and other creative therapists in the service.  You will carry out therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments and music therapy interventions with adopted and Special Guardianship Order families.  This work involves trauma informed approaches, family work and life story work.  The team is led by a Clinical Psychologist and provides creative, relational, and evidence based approaches, collaborating with wider networks and reaching schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post holder will receive supervision by a highly qualified Music therapist, and be line managed by a Clinical Psychologist.   The post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support. 

The successful candidate will be experienced at working with managing and supervising therapists, developmental trauma, and child and family work and operates with initiative and responsiveness in a dynamic professional environment.   A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would be desirable, with a good understanding of safeguarding planning and managing highly emotive situations. Experience of running multi-family groups would be an advantage. This role requires a supportive professional, a team player, who enjoys working in a diverse, respectful and challenging team.

About the role: 

As an Area Manager, you’ll lead and support shop teams across your designated area, made up of paid and voluntary staff. We will offer you

Job Summary

Chapter One is seeking a West Cumbria Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able to both motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.

The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around West Cumbria. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers

• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms

• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others

• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up

• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom

• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles

Purpose of the Role:

Bow Foodbank is proud  to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. This will be done by inviting specialist partners to offer their services at our centre, as well as training and overseeing our volunteers in signposting guests to services that will help them build their resilience. We want to do this in a way that builds dignity so will aim to follow up with them the impact of any referrals and how they have improved guest wellbeing. IcFEM Dreamland Mission is a Christian charity set up to help fund and support the work of IcFEM in
Kenya. We had been running for almost 20 years with volunteers
running a home-based UK office. Three years ago we employed staff in the UK for the first time. We
currently have income of £350k- £400k a year depending on the projects running. IcFEM Kenya is a
locally run organisation based at Kimilili in Western Kenya. IcFEM Kenya runs community projects as
well as a school and hospital. The past five years has seen our work grow significantly, including the
school and hospital which have developed into large institutions that are valued by the community
in Kimilili and fit well into the local government set up.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to see our ministry grow and is experienced at
blending trust in God with human endeavour.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who has experience of the charity sector and is prepared to
be flexible and adaptable to the needs of this small charity. There is the potential for flexibility within
this role and we would be willing to discuss a variation in hours worked. Some occasional evening or
weekend work will be needed, and occasional travel to Kenya is an important part of the role,
particularly to build relationships with the Kenyan team.

 Operational Support Coordinator

Salary : £15,000 for a 3 day week 

Facing the Future is a Samaritans service offering peer support groups to people bereaved by suicide.  Since transferring the groups online in February 2021, we have supported over 800 people who have experienced loss by suicide.  The team of facilitators has grown in that time  from 15 to nearly 100 from all over the UK and Ireland. To help us move forward, we are looking for an empathetic individual strong on attention to detail and IT skills to be our Administrator.  This role is designed to give operational support to the service, the volunteer leadership team and to our volunteer Facilitators and Supervisors as we work together to deliver our mission that no-one should have to face this isolating bereavement alone. 

The responsibilities of the role are many and varied and will suit someone who is comfortable with managing a variety of tasks simultaneously.  Responsibilities include managing our confidential databases, and the processes involved in setting up groups for those people on our waiting list, managing communications to group participants and to Facilitators, and supporting our training programme .

This is a part time remote working role with support from the team at Central London Samaritans. 

The successful candidate will be a good communicator who is highly organised and remains calm under pressure. Importantly they should be able to manage change as we will be transferring our current systems over to Salesforce. Good listening skills are essential.

We’re recruiting a Senior Administrator to join our team at our Victoria animal hospital.  At Blue Cross, we are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care to thousands of pets every year. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Administrator to lead our administration team and ensure the seamless delivery of our services. 

More about the role 

As a Senior Administrator, you will be responsible for leading a small team of administrators, providing efficient and comprehensive administration services that support our hospital teams. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining excellent communication, managing financial processes, and ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative functions. 

This role will include duties such as: 

• Leading and managing a team of administration and finance members across our three London hospitals, ensuring effective communication and awareness throughout the facilities. 

• Managing office administration, which encompasses overseeing all aspects of stock control and ordering, including the procurement of drugs and consumables for the entire hospital. 

• Managing financial processes such as cashing up, reconciliation, and debt management.

• Working closely with hospital teams to understand their needs, as our customers are our team members within the hospital. 

• Collaborating with stakeholders across the wider Blue Cross to align administrative functions with organisational goals. 

• Preparing and managing the team rota. 

• Booking and administering locums and agency staff. 

• Handling department and meeting room diaries. 

• Welcoming visitors to the hospital and conducting tours. 

• Event planning of our annual summer fayre and fundraising events 

This is a full-time role of 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands. 

 
About you 

The person should have excellent listening, communication, and people skills to handle emotional and complex situations, always balancing empathy with professionalism. You should present yourself professionally to everyone within the organisation and externally, and your work should reflect our values and culture. You'll need to be organised and structured, with the initiative to tackle and resolve various issues. Additionally, you should be adaptable, able to prioritise tasks based on workload, and use discretion since you'll be dealing with confidential and sensitive information. 

You'll be required to work at any of the London hospitals and occasionally travel to other sites as part of your duties. 

Knowledge, skills, and experience   

• Extensive administration experience 

• Previous experience of managing a small team 

• Experience of financial management including cashing up and reconciliation 

• Experience of providing a high level of customer service 

• The ability to effectively communicate with different audiences of varying seniority and in challenging situations. 

• Excellent level of IT literacy and using Microsoft 365 products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.) 

• The ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our Blue Cross values   

Although not essential, it would be great if you also had: 

• Previous experience of managing teams across multiple sites 

• Experience in managing complex rotas and logistics, including the ability to juggle their own schedule and coordinate others 

• Experience of stock control and ordering 

• Knowledge of medical/veterinary administration

• Knowledge of the charity and voluntary sector

As the Finance Manager your role is to help make this a reality through the effective management of our financial processes. You’ll use your experience from other charity finance roles, along with your accountancy / financial management qualifications, to help ensure our approach to financial management is effective, efficient, up-to-date and in line with charity accounting standards. 

You will be well-organised and motivated to support the wider team in their work. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Treasurer, you will ensure we have up-to-date information on the financial health of the organisation. You will help to ensure we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes. 

You will lead on ensuring we have robust organisational systems and processes in place for effective financial management. This includes the production and sharing of management accounts, ensuring payroll and invoices are paid on time, devising financial reports, and providing budgetary support.
