Job Overview:

To provide a Customer Call Centre as the "first point of contact" within Look Ahead for customers, staff, contractors and external agencies for rent, housing benefit, service charge, repairs, complaints and customer support queries.

Working Patterns are Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm

What you'll do:

- As a member of the Customer Call Centre be the first point of contact for customers and staff throughout the organisation on all enquiries

- Deal with enquiries on Housing Management, Maintenance and Customer Support

- Receive and action maintenance requests for owned, managed or leased properties

- Receive, log and transfer complaints received in accordance with Look Ahead's policy and procedure

- Data entry into IT systems and databases for reporting and performance indicators

- Support of administration functions within the team

Key Responsibilities:

- To receive enquiries in all formats and be the first point of contact to resolve or action/escalate accordingly

- To resolve and provide information on initial rent, housing benefit and service charge enquiries

- To provide details on Look Ahead's Support function for customers or external agencies to include Support Worker or scheme contact details and referral process

- To log and transfer complaints in accordance with Look Ahead's procedure and policy

- Receive and action maintenance requests for owned, managed or leased properties to include responsive repairs, void/empty property repairs, insurance, rechargeable, planned, cyclical and servicing works. Monitoring the progress of works orders to including updating, varying, and completing work orders

- Data entry into IT systems and databases for reporting and performance indicators

- Provide support in the duties of the other administration roles within the team (including occasional reception cover)

- To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with policy and procedures

- To maintain files either in paper and electronic format to include all correspondence, certificates and documentation

- To produce correspondence or documentation to be sent internally or externally

- Attend internal and external meetings or forums to promote Property Services and Look Ahead

- Any other duties relevant within the team as and when required

Placement Manager 

£35k p.a. FTE part-time 

Part-time 15 – 20 hours per week Location: initially remote working but to be hybrid based in W/NW/SW London.)

We are looking for a Placement Manager to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. Help Counselling Centre is a small Mental Health charity providing one-to-one counselling, both in person and online.  We are also a well-established training placement provider for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists studying with prestigious training providers in London.

About Help

Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity with a heritage of over 50 years. We provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. For ethical reasons, the work trainee counsellors / psychotherapists do is unpaid, i.e., they must volunteer their time.

This volunteer model enables Help to fulfil its charitable aim of providing low-cost counselling services. It can take between 3-5 years to qualify, and our training placements are for minimum of 12 months meaning we can also provide clients with long-term help. The blend of low-cost and long-term talking therapy is much needed in a time of increasing demand for mental health support and increasing complexity of presenting issues.

About the job

Reporting to the Help Director, the job is to ensure the smooth and effective running of the training placement process in line with BACP requirements.

This will include providing clinical support and expertise to the Help Director; managing and assuring the quality of the counsellor recruitment process; handling counsellor issues; overseeing weekly client allocations and reallocations; handling queries and managing relationships with clients, counsellors and supervisors; reviewing and enhancing clinical policies.

Currently our client volumes are between 250-350, we have approximately 90 counsellors and clinical team of approximately 20. 

We operate a number of cloud-based IT systems and have outsourced HR and Finance functions.

 Key responsibilities

· Provide clinical support and expertise to the Help Director as required.

· Manage and oversee process of new counsellor recruitment, ensuring all new counsellors are interviewed and vetted against a suitable set of standards and controls. 

· Manage paperwork required by Training Organisations in relation to Trainee Counsellors at the beginning and during their placement. 

· Being available to support Trainee Counsellors on clinical placement with Help.

· Manage the Cause for Concern’ procedure with Trainee Counsellors and Supervisors as and when they arise. This will include ensuring appropriate record-keeping and taking appropriate action to ensure counsellors are working safely and within the BACP ethical framework. 

· Provide a point of escalation for client, counsellor or supervision queries. 

· Manage and oversee weekly client allocations and reallocations. 

· Manage any queries raised from Assessments and manage any declined clients 

· Assist in the periodic review and creation of appropriate clinical policies and procedures. Provide input into policies and procedures based on changes to best practice guidelines issued by professional bodies. 

The Candidate

Education & experience: Counselling or Psychotherapy Qualification, BACP or UKCP professional membership, 3-5 years' post-qualification experience. Experience of working within a training environment within the same industry highly desirable.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) has a critical role in ensuring we succeed in this work. • Ensuring the team maintains effective monitoring processes: Working with your team, you will develop the necessary skills, processes and decision-making processes to identify when things aren’t going to plan and respond accordingly.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans, the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity. We are looking for a highly organised individual to provide co-ordination and administrative support for Sustrans-wide business development systems, activities. 

As the Business Development Officer, you will support colleagues across the organisation bidding for tenders and grant funding, by helping to guide bid submissions through a series of steps, from initial assessment to submission to funder decision. 

In this role you will support Project Officers and Senior Managers with all aspects of bid preparation including checking for compliance, proof reading and formatting. 

This role requires you to be proactive in researching new potential funding sources and monitoring grant and tender alerts; and you will be expected to manage and further develop a suite of bidding resources.

Senior CRM Database Officer

Mencap have a fantastic opportunity in the CRM Database team.  We are looking for a Senior CRM Database Officer to work on BAU data process improvements, complex SQL selections, data imports and CRM training.  Mencap are seeking a highly skilled database professional who wants to join a vibrant and dynamic team that is passionate about making the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability. This is an exciting time to join the team, as Mencap are currently in the early stages of a CRM Migration project, to transition from alms NET to Salesforce. 

As the Senior CRM Database Officer, you will combine your strong CRM technical and analytical skills with excellent communication skills to ensure that all our internal & external stakeholders are presented with accurate, accessible data.  You will work within the Fundraising Operations team (FrOps) providing quality CRM data related support and advice to Fundraising CRM users in line with team service levels and performance targets.  In this role, you will identify, implement and write up process improvements; develop & deliver complex data campaign mailing selections & analytics to Fundraising CRM system users for direct marketing purposes; provide support and cover for data import processes and deliver training and procedure guides.  You will also maintain and develop our CRM data systems, ensuring our data accuracy & integrity meets all Fundraising compliance standards.

By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.  

We are looking for a reliable and committed person to be part of our team of advisors providing information, advice and emotional support to carers, working collaboratively with colleagues and other organisations to achieve this.  Experience of providing such support is essential and prior working with carers desirable.

The work is primarily telephone based, but there are times when face to face support is required.The role may also include undertaking talks and presentations to both promote and raise awareness of the service and our organisation.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure that unpaid carers have access to the information and advice they need when they need it and to help them carry on caring for how long as they wish to do so whilst looking after their own health.

Main duties

(i) To be the first point of contact for all unpaid carer wishing to access a service provided by Carers in Hertfordshire

(ii) To identify carers’ needs and provide information, advice and support to unpaid carers, primarily by telephone and email

(iii) To support unpaid carers with advice through case work and to manage own caseload, prioritising cases as appropriate.

(iv) To contribute to capturing unpaid carers’ experiences through careful record-keeping using organisational systems.

(v) To source, collate and maintain organisational knowledge of local and national service provision appropriate to unpaid carers’ needs.

(vi) To attend some meetings and events for unpaid carers.

(vii) To support the early identification of unpaid carers through the maintenance of collaborative relationships with other service providers and the provision of information on unpaid carers’ issues to Carers in Hertfordshire’s provider networks. 

(viii) To ensure unpaid carers are aware of all Carers in Hertfordshire services and can use them, according to their wishes.

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the charity and whilst we have a comprehensive product offer, we welcome innovation. The post holder will be expected to make suggestions and recommendations for NPD (new product development) and changes to our strategy that could make the products more attractive to parallel markets.

You will directly support our participants for the benefit of Railway Children, so that they are highly impressed by the customer experience they receive from us. The Role 
 
As our Communications Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a wide range of communications that contribute to increased brand awareness of the charity, demonstrate the charity’s expertise and impact, educate the public about cancer prevention, signs, symptoms and screening and support the generation of income for the charity. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Plan, research, create and distribute creative media content, including press releases, blog posts, case studies and videos, to support research, services, cancer insight, fundraising, events, retail, corporate partnerships and campaigns. 

• Proactively seek, identify and engage in media opportunities, such as attending events, organising photo opportunities and meeting face-to-face with case studies.

• Manage third-party suppliers such as photographers and film production agencies, obtaining quotes, providing clear briefings and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

• Respond to press enquiries efficiently and to a high standard. Understand which media enquiries are appropriate for the charity’s brand and key messages and those which are not, so that the charity prioritises only those which are value-adding. 

• Organise TV, radio and press interview opportunities for the Chief Executive, Directors and Heads of. Prepare clear briefings for interviewees. 

• Demonstrate and convey professionalism at all times and represent the charity when communicating with the media, members of the public, volunteers and supporters to demonstrate the charity’s core values.

• Monitor and evaluate the charity’s media coverage and the digital impact of PR content, providing a monthly media clippings report. 

• Provide PR input to the charity’s Leadership Team, Board reports and performance dashboards. 

• Maintain continuous awareness of industry news and regularly update colleagues on key developments. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be educated to a degree or equivalent level of education or have relevant experience in a similar role at a similar level. 

• Previous media experience, whether through journalism or a PR / in house media assistant role. 

• Experience in building relationships with colleagues and journalists and managing media opportunities such as interviews, broadcast opportunities and photocalls. 

• An ability to write compelling copy for multiple audiences, and media channels, often translating complicated information into a format that is easily understood by readers. 

• An agile media mind, able to spot the key storyline that will maximise the possibility of media coverage and attract the attention of the media. 

• An evaluative mindset, supporting continual improvement by analysing coverage and associated data from media activity. 

• An ability to keep a calm head when faced with a reactive media situation in a manner that best protects the reputation of the charity 

• A thoughtful and empathetic outlook, able to engage with people affected by cancer with sensitivity and respect.
