Group and Communities Officer

We are looking for someone to join the team who is as passionate about the power of peer support and community based connections.

Position: Group and Communities Officer (known as Group Network & Communities Officer)

Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work related meetings).

Salary: £29,200 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,275 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

The Role

You will drive the continuous improvement and impact of the UK-wide Stroke Group Network and community-based offers by cultivating strong relationships with volunteers and groups, working alongside groups and communities, and translating insights into targeted improvements that strengthen support for stroke survivors nationwide.

Group Network & Communities team lead the approach to supporting people affected by stroke to engage with a range of support within communities they identify with and support and empower a vast network of volunteers, a dynamic and inclusive community of over 400 stroke support groups nationwide.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure community-based offers provide the best possible customer experience with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion, aligned to Solving Inequity in Stroke approach.
• Drive forward a culture of coaching, shared learning, peer support and collaboration as a way of working.
• Work across teams and Directorates to ensure a joined-up approach to community engagement and development, including the delivery of cross-directorate spaces that facilitate shared learning, leading relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.

About You

You will have a proven record of:

• Experience of working with volunteers, including the ability to coordinate, organise and deliver volunteer engagement events at scale or digitally
• Ability to take time to understand the context of our communities and groups, being approachable, and supporting thinking - always having people affected by stroke at the centre.
• Strong administration skills, with ability to develop and deliver effective processes.
• Ability to identify problems or opportunities where we can have more impact or add value for people affected by stroke, working with others to experiment and learn.

Re-engage has just launched a new five-year strategy which will have growth at its heart. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join our team as Supporter Care Officer and be a vital part of this exciting phase of our development.
 
This is a new role within a growing fundraising team which is aiming to significantly grow income to achieve our growth strategy. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, your main responsibility will be to develop relationships with individual and community donors, and legacy pledgers. Your personalised approach and friendly manner will help them feel valued, understand the life changing difference they make and deepen their connection to our work reducing loneliness in later life. As part of your role, you will also have opportunity to support the Individual Giving Manager with fundraising activities.
 
Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for supporters and build good relationships with them - respond to queries, take donations, and support them in their fundraising.
• Develop a programme to regularly thank donors for their support and find out more about them, including a schedule of supporter phone calls and sending a donor survey.
• Make sure all individual, community and legacy gifts are recorded correctly on our CRM and thanked within a timely manner. Look for new ways to thank donors in a way that surprises and delights.
• Develop and implement personalised stewardship plans for donors and legacy pledgers to provide regular updates that demonstrate their impact or help to build engagement ahead of a fundraising appeal.
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager to communicate with one-off donors about how they can set up a regular gift, and to regular givers about how they can increase their gift.
• Provide support on the production of fundraising appeals, identifying potential stories to use, writing briefs and liaising with suppliers, producing mailing lists and analysing results.
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement marketing plans for challenge events, community, in memory and legacy fundraising, planning regular content throughout the year and identifying key times to promote specific activity.
• Look for opportunities to incorporate legacy messaging into other communications with donors, volunteers and older people.
• Support on the development of new KPI and reporting frameworks, and help to update results for post-campaign and ad-hoc data analysis projects.

About the role 

Mission Without Borders is seeking an experienced Salesforce Support Specialist to focus on three key areas; Salesforce Administration, training, and process documentation. 

As a Salesforce expert and product champion, the post holder will work closely with our existing Salesforce Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for Salesforce support and training across all staff in all 18 countries. They will triage incoming tickets, provide support, fix problems, make configuration changes, and work closely with our Salesforce Developer and Product Owner to manage change requests. 

With significant stakeholder engagement, they will help to develop a staff training programme for all countries and deliver both routine and ad-hoc training for new employees, new processes, feature changes, and upgrades. 

Process documentation will need to be created for new, modified, and existing Salesforce/business processes along with details of third-party integrations and submitted change requests. 

The role sits within the International Salesforce team, led by the Salesforce Developer and Product Owner. The team’s purpose is to be guardians of the organisations data and processes, supporting the rollout, maintenance, and extension, of our Salesforce platform and services. Big Green Heart is looking for a trainer to help expand our practitioner base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with teaching experience to use their professional skills in the charity sector in the vitally important area of mental health. Accredited practitioners may charge for their own practice, working with individuals or in partnership with schools, churches, and community projects. They will practice under license from Big Green Heart. 

The role of the trainer is to teach and train practitioners in the methodology of Big Green Heart and to bring individuals through to accreditation. This will be done regionally and online.

Role purpose

Essential skills and experience

· Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with hands-on configuration expertise.

· Demonstrable experience managing Salesforce projects from concept to delivery.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.

· Strong understanding of agile project management principles and tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner, Jira, Trello).

· Advanced reporting and dashboard design using native Salesforce tools.

· Experience with Salesforce declarative development (e.g., Flow, Process Builder, validation rules).

· Proven ability to document systems and processes clearly for both technical and end-user audiences.

· Understanding of data protection principles and best practice in data governance.

· Comfortable with change management, user training, and system adoption strategies.

As our Research and Insight Manager, you'll lead a dynamic research program that informs our strategic direction and drives impactful change. Your insights will contribute to building a deeper understanding the lives of blind partially sighted people, along with the external factors that influence them, and will shape RNIB's activities across all areas of our business.

What you'll be doing

With extensive experience of conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies, you will be producing actionable insights and recommendations resulting from research with a variety of audiences. You'll be collaborating with stakeholders to plan the research and working with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver a range of high quality, complex research studies to guide decision-making.

You'll also be responsible for line managing a team of researchers, developing and nurturing them to build their skills and experience in a variety of research methodologies and related subjects.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have substantial experience of conducting and commissioning a wide variety of research studies. You'll also have strong analytical skills with the ability to understand a wide range of data sources and to express complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling way.

You'll be comfortable leading cross functional project teams and using agile methodologies to achieve project goals. You'll also demonstrate a strong ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence decisions.

This maternity cover role will lead a passionate team that champions the voices of blind and partially sighted people and puts the lived experience of sight loss at the heart of everything we do. You will be ale to contribute to this, perhaps through experience in the healthcare or not for profit sectors, and will ideally have a mix of research agency and client-side experience.
