This is one of two District Property Secretary roles in North West England Methodist District, who will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property. Using their knowledge of land and buildings, and their use and maintenance, in addition to knowledge of governance in the Methodist church context, the postholders will ensure a coherent and holistic approach to property across the District. 

Key Responsibilities 

Provide advice to churches and circuits on property-related matters

Work with colleagues, including ministers and lay members of the circuits and churches within the District, to maximise utilisation of property and land across the District for mission and income generation, in line with Connexional property strategy

- Support with selling properties

- Collaborate with colleagues on seeking alternative opportunities for mission or income generation

- Provide guidance on potential grant opportunities

Provide support with the instruction of professional advisors and contractors and liaise with surveyors as necessary

Provide advice and support to ensure projects are delivered effectively and in compliance with relevant standards and legislation

Support the management of the consents process

- Advise the consent giving body of the District regarding property projects and the feasibility of District grants

- Provide support on the use of the online consents system

- Oversee the submission of annual returns

Provide oversight of quinquennial inspections

- Ensure inspections are undertaken in a timely manner

- Ensure action points are followed up

- Collate copies of returns

To assist in the development and continual review of the District Development Plan for property

Ensure work is in line with the requirements of relevant bodies and legislation

- The Methodist Standing Orders and Connexional Team (including as a member of the Connexional Property Group)

- Maintain the District relationship with TMCP and action any correspondence as required

Report at District Policy Committee/Synod as required   

NWED covers the geographical areas of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and parts of Cheshire and Derbyshire. 

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

The role 

Key components of the role include: 

• Social media content development - collaborate with internal subject specialists to produce consistent and frequent on-brand written and visual content for social channels, in support of brand and advocacy goals. You’ll use Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and AgoraPulse for this. 
• Email - develop, write and send UnitedGMH’s regular email newsletter, working with internal staff to source news, updates and relevant content tailored for email subscribers.
• Website development - develop, maintain and update content for the UnitedGMH website - including uploading content and editing pages.
• Social media channel and community management - lead on day-to-day management and posting on UnitedGMH social media channels, including X, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Manage paid social campaigns where required. Use monitoring tools to manage social media comments (organic and paid).
• Brand guardian: Be a steward of the UnitedGMH brand, helping to ensure consistent application of visual identity and tone of voice across all external organisational outputs, maintaining high standards of design.
• Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting - create regular analytic reports for social, website and email channels. 
• Editorial planning and communications calendar management - lead on the maintenance of the organisation’s communications calendar, ensuring content across channels is planned-in-advance of key advocacy moments. 
• Team support - support the communications team through project management, meeting management, processing supplier invoices, keeping journalist lists up-to-date, and other responsibilities where needed.

Requirements 

• Understanding, and experience in use, of online channels (incl. website content management systems (CMS) such as Wordpress and Squarespace, a broad spectrum of social media platforms and email marketing through Mailchimp) 
• An excellent copywriter, with demonstrable experience crafting copy for different audiences - including for social media and email newsletters
• Strong research and proofreading skills, adapted to key audiences
• Comfortable prioritising and delivering on multiple pieces of work against tight timeframes
• Highly organised individual with experience of team administration support 
• An understanding of using digital project management tools e.g. Trello

About the Role

As a Case Manager you will strive to make contact and work on a one-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. To do this you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risk, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA's (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. This is a fundamental role within our South East regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. About The Role  

As a SQL Insight Analyst, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to drive our decision making through evidence and data backed insights. Working closely with the rest of the Data, Insights and Research team to enable their access to aggregated or granular data points from our Services and Fundraising databases.

You will become an expert on the data points we collect at Help For Heroes and gain understanding of how these all play a part in achieving our overall goal of ensuring Members of the Armed Forces Community Live Well after Service.

About You  

You will be a highly motivated SQL code writer with a passion for making a difference in our community. You will need a sharp and dynamic mind that can infer the business logic that underpins the work we do. Good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships and inspire both confidence and curiosity within our dataset will be essential to drive the change the Charity is looking for.

We are looking for someone with:  

• The ability to write efficient and accurate SQL code.

Summary job description

We are currently recruiting a Software Developer (R Shiny) to support our evolving operations, supporting our Global Data Science team. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, this is a full-time role with occasional travel (1-2 times per year) to work closely with overseas colleagues, partners, field teams and communities.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive and highly organised individual with strong experience in developing interactive data visualisation tools in R Shiny specifically.

You will focus on creating user-friendly, customisable tools to support decision-making in small-scale fishing communities and across the organisation. These tools, designed by the Design and Integration team, aim to transform complex datasets into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making at various levels.

You will demonstrate a proven track record of presenting complex data in clear, accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as project design and management. Ideally, you will have experience with community-based conservation and development initiatives. You will thrive in environments that are collegiate and ambitious, and be able to demonstrate experience of working independently and solving complex problems in challenging situations.

The Relationship Fundraising role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the counties of Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk.

You will report to the Relationship Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Relationship Fundraising & Volunteering to drive the continued growth of the charity’s fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive postholder, to cover a period of maternity leave.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Responsibility for stewardship and relationship building with supporters within the East region.

· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with national partnerships in your region.

· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, in accordance with fundraising legislation and good practice.

· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.

· Support the Relationship Fundraising Manager (RFM) and Head of Relationship Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Relationship Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.

· Support and extend volunteer networks within geographical area in line with strategy.

· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across geographical area.

· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload in a cost-effective and proactive way.

Supporter Management

· Provide excellent customer service to fundraising supporters, with prompt responses to enquiries, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.

· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.

· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.

· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.

· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Officers, provide high quality account management to corporate supporters within specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.

Increasing Community Support within geographical area

· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within geographical area, in line with strategy.

· Manage recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in geographical area, providing relevant support and training.

· Liaise with local community organisations (predominantly golf clubs) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with strategy.

· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.

· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community, spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.

· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with RFM.

· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with RFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with strategy.

· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.

Monitoring and Reporting

· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Relationship Fundraising Manager.

· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.

What we are looking for:

 

· Experience in partnership fundraising and/or relationship building

· Experience and confidence in public-speaking, such as giving presentations and talking at events

· Knowledge of recruiting key volunteers and fundraising supporters

· Experience and a keen interest in building long term relationships with supporters

· Proven ability of providing excellent stewardship

· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Excellent organisational skills

· Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and willingness to travel independently and Live within East Region

· Full driver’s license with access to own vehicle.

Remote - As part of our Remote ways of working you will be home based. You will only need to attend the office for specific requirements of the role and the business needs.

What we're looking for

This newly created Campaigns Manager role will be responsible for end-to-end campaign management across digital platforms including Advocate, our programmatic ad platform, and various social media channels. This includes strategy development, planning, coordination, execution, and optimization. Reporting to the Ad Ops Director in Canada, you'll work closely with the Accounts, Performance & Insights, and Product teams across Europe and the US to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and on target.

Responsibilities

• Lead on developing digital strategies and media plans, identifying appropriate platforms and formats to maximise impact for our global, progressive client base. 
• Manage Campaign Associates to ensure all digital campaigns are delivered successfully, including tracking KPIs, analyzing performance data, and implementing optimizations to improve results.
• Periodically attend (remote) meetings with clients to present campaign results. 
• Add hands-on-keyboard capacity to build and manage campaigns where needed.
• Continually innovate how we run campaigns, to find better ways to bring impact to our clients.

Required Expertise

Must Have

• Experience with planning, building and managing successful paid digital campaigns on social media and programmatic channels for progressive political groups. 
• Experience working on multiple progressive campaigns, including at least one cycle of US political campaigns with Democrats or progressive groups. 
• Proven ability to learn new ad tech platforms quickly.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or performance issues before they escalate.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-continent environment. 

Nice to Have

• Experience managing / mentoring junior team members.
• Hands-on experience with search, social, and programmatic buying platforms such as: The Trade Desk, Google Search, DV360, LinkedIn, Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, X and YouTube along with Google Campaign Manager for ad serving.

The role:
As the Events Manager you will lead the organisation’s events programme, including webinars, workshops, annual awards, building tours and networking events.  The Events Manager will manage all aspects of planning, logistics and delivery supported by an Events Assistant.  You will review the overall events programme to ensure right balance of content.  As the Events Manager you will manage events budget and reporting while also evaluating event performance.  You will liaise with speakers, venues and suppliers too.
