This role will be responsible for an effective and compliant operations function (finance, HR, programmes/projects, governance). You will help the charity to scale its operations sustainably and ensure the charity complies with its legal and governance responsibilities. We are looking for a proactive individual who has an eye for detail in data and administration. You will be ambitious and entrepreneurial, with real vision and a passion for the cause. You will be resilient and collaborative, someone who is highly organised with the ability to juggle a diverse and high workload.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance and HR
- Liaise with outsourced bookkeepers (also payroll providers) to ensure timely/accurate information flow.
- Oversee income and expenditure budgets and performance, processing of donations and scheduled payments, and ensuring accurate and consistent coding.
- Work with accountants to support year-end accounts and coordinate annual report production.
- Produce and circulate monthly management accounts and other reports for the Board.
- Support Trustees with designated responsibilities e.g. finance, risk, governance.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and HR record-keeping (including freelancers).
- Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM (Donorfy), including prompt input of donations.
Charitable projects
- Support the planning and coordination of secured charitable projects, liaising with project partners, monitoring delivery milestones, payment schedule and working with the wider team to maximise success.
- Compiling project monitoring/evaluation data from project partners to support excellent impact reporting.
Governance and operations
Together with the volunteer Charity Secretary:
- Coordination of Board meetings and AGMs, agendas, papers and minutes.
- Maintain central registers (trustee attendance/terms, governance documents, policies, risk, safeguarding training etc).
- Fulfil statutory and regulatory responsibilities, including filing of annual accounts.
- Advise trustees on governance best practice, in line with Charity Commission guidance.
- Management of policies, procedures and operational systems (including the CRM) that strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare Quarterly reports for the Board, and upon request.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Code of Practice, including delivering the responsibility of data protection lead.
- Maintain relationships with volunteer Independent Advisors and commissioned service providers e.g. finance, HR and legal to ensure compliance/best practice.

We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a part time Business Support Officer to help provide administrative support to our growing team of staff and volunteers.
Working closely with colleagues across the charity, your responsibilities will include supporting our Resources Manager to ensure that our operational teams have access to all the learning resources they need, providing administrative support to our operational and volunteer management teams, and helping to keep our internal systems up to date.
It is essential that you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, good communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards assisting with diverse administrative tasks. You must be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of the commonly used Microsoft business tools, and be able to work independently. Underpinning this will be the ability to build relationships, and personal qualities that include persistence, determination and a problem-solving approach. SUMMARY OF ROLE
This new role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting new journey at RABI as we grow our Marketing and Communications team ahead of launching our ambitious 2025-2030 strategy. As Digital Communications Officer, you will take a lead role in planning, creating and delivering content across social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns. You will have the creative freedom to develop innovative approaches that drive meaningful interaction and measurable impact.
The role reports to the Senior Digital Communications Manager and requires close collaboration to support RABI’s digital objectives and content strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media and Content Creation
- Plan, create and deliver engaging content across RABI’s social media channels in line with the communications strategy.
- Create a diverse range of multimedia content (short-form video, graphics, photography, written content) tailored thoughtfully for each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Be hands-on with video creation when needed (e.g., filming short clips, editing using mobile tools or basic editing software).

SUMMARY OF ROLE
This is a pivotal new role within RABI’s Marketing & Communications team, managing the planning and delivery of RABI’s presence at high-profile agricultural, corporate and external affairs events throughout the year, whilst overseeing the management and deployment of volunteers and ambassadors at shows and local engagement activities across England and Wales. The Events & Engagement Manager will ensure that all activities reflect RABI’s values and strategic goals and that our network of volunteers and ambassadors are expertly managed and supported.
You’ll be responsible for managing a high-performing events function, overseeing two Events and Marketing Coordinators and working collaboratively across the charity to ensure RABI is visible, active and engaged across the sector. You will bring experience, professionalism and a hands-on approach to deliver high-quality, mission-driven events that drive brand awareness and build relationships across our community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership of Events and Ambassador Programme
- Lead the development and implementation of a national events strategy that reflects RABI’s priorities and enhances the charity’s presence across rural and farming communities.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive events and shows calendar, ensuring a coordinated and strategic approach to regional and national opportunities.
- Work closely with RABI’s Fundraising, External Affairs and Volunteering teams to ensure events, conferences and shows are aligned with RABI’s strategic objectives and are on brand.
- Lead and develop RABI’s new Ambassador programme, working in collaboration with the Volunteering department to launch the programme from pilot to national rollout.
Agricultural Shows and Sector Representation

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- A minimum 5 years’ experience working in a successful Events team at a managerial level.
- Proven experience in managing a broad portfolio of events, ideally within the charity, agricultural or rural affairs sectors.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Events & Marketing Coordinator will play an essential role in delivering high-impact engagement activities and supporting the wider work of RABI’s Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Events & Engagement Manager, you’ll help coordinate the charity’s presence at a wide range of events -including agricultural shows, external affairs engagements, conferences and community activities, ensuring a consistently professional and compelling presence across England and Wales. About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Organised and methodical, able to prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Confident with IT systems, including MS Office, and quick to pick up new tools.
- Experienced in providing great customer service and working collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative.
It would be great if you also bring experience in fundraising, CRM systems, or within the charity/voluntary sector, but this isn’t essential.
You will:
- Provide excellent customer care for corporate supporters and act as the first point of contact for employee enquiries.
- Support the delivery of fundraising events, campaigns, and engagement activities.
- Manage and nurture smaller partnerships, building strong relationships with charity champions and stakeholders.
- Create and share impactful fundraising resources and toolkits with partners.
- Deliver engaging sessions, including Dementia Friends awareness workshops.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure all processes comply with GDPR.
- Support administrative tasks such as diary management, meeting coordination, and financial monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to maximise opportunities and share knowledge across the Income & Engagement directorate.

We are recruiting a Suicide Prevention Officer to facilitate the development, sale and delivery of high quality and impactful training and education programmes, upskilling individuals and organisations in how to prevent suicide.
What you will do:
- Facilitate in-person and online training sessions, ensuring interactive and impactful learning experiences.
- Develop and promote PAPYRUS’s training offer, tailoring to stakeholder needs and securing sales.
- Build relationships and partnerships to expand our reach and influence.
- Support the creation of e-learning and digital training resources.
- Prepare stakeholders for, and debrief them after, suicide interventions.
- Stay informed of best practice and national strategy, contribute to campaigns, and represent PAPYRUS in the media and at events.
- Champion safeguarding, health and safety, and equality across all activity.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field such as Education, Counselling, Training, Psychology, Community Development or Youth Work.
- A recognised training qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in delivering and developing training programmes and community-based projects.
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations and facilitate learning in emotionally complex areas.
- Strong relationship-building, presentation and time management skills.
- Professional curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding.
- Confidence in working independently and remotely, with ability to travel as required.

Salary: £31,537 per annum (Scale SCP 18) progressing by increments to £34,434 per annum (Scale SCP 23)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: Home-based to cover the South-Central region primarily (i.e. Swindon, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire) alongside the wider South and East England Area.
