About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, including proactively reaching out to members to address cancellations, encourage upgrades, or convert cash supporters into ongoing members.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer, Data & CRM Officer, and Gifts in Wills Officer to nurture relationships and move supporters through their journey, ensuring that every member feels appreciated and connected to our mission.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

About the role

Last year we launched a new website which provides independent online information, advice and support for kinship carers. This year, we’re continuing to develop new advice and information content for the website, as well as working on content for projects that focus on supporting kinship carers.

The postholder will research, create and deliver engaging, user-focused content, and deliver a seamless user content experience throughout all content development. Working with kinship carers and subject matter experts will be a big part of your role. 

You will be working on content in a range of formats, including web copy, printed guides, presentations for training, workshop materials (digital and printed), video and more.

One day you could be carrying out research with kinship carers, on another you could be doing paired writing with a subject matter expert to explain the different types of kinship care.

You’ll be confident facilitating discovery and research and building user stories and job stories with clear user goals.

• Take complex language, processes and legislation to design content that is clear, simple and allows users to achieve their goals (creating user stories and job stories). 

• Facilitate and support user research using empathy mapping, user journeys and other techniques to understand user goals.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in Macclesfield.

Position: S11313 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based – Macclesfield, East Cheshire. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

• Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

About Action for ME

Action for ME is the only charity in the UK providing support, including healthcare, to people of all ages affected by ME. The charity was founded by Sue Finlay in 1987 and since then has been taking holistic approach so we can make an impact on multiple fronts - from amplifying the voices of people affected by ME in Government and leading on breakthrough research, to providing "lifeline" support and unique healthcare services on a daily basis.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), sometimes referred to and diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a chronic, fluctuating disease, causing symptoms such as post-exertional malaise (PEM), sleep problems, problems with thinking and memory (brain fog), pain and crushing fatigue. There are an estimated 1.3 million people living with ME or ME-like symptoms, including PEM, in the UK alone.

Even in its so-called mildest form, ME can have a significant impact on an individual’s life, and not just on their health. A lack of understanding and awareness about ME means patients can experience disbelief, and even discrimination, from friends, family, health and social care professionals, employers and teachers.

For the first time there is an increased awareness of post viral illness because of the Covid -19 pandemic. After decades of neglect this offers Action for ME an opportunity to accelerate our work for people with ME in a way we have never been able to do before. The intent of everything we do is to pursue positive impact for the lives, rights, and futures of people affected by ME.

Job purpose

This role will deliver an exceptional supporter experience to our donors, building and maintaining strong relationships with our supporters. Working closely with other members of the fundraising and communications teams, you will deliver our supporter journey, maintain regular communication with donors and be an integral part of our fundraising campaigns and appeals.

Key duties

• Work with the Fundraising Operations Manager to deliver our supporter journey, engaging current and prospective donors with our work and giving them an excellent experience of supporting Action for ME.
• Be responsible for creating the methods that ensure each supporter relationship is maximised, increasing retention rates for a growing supporter base. As such you will be required to engage with supporters so that they feel valued, and relationships can be developed further for the benefit of the charity.
• Lead on thanking donors, including making phone calls to donors as part of stewardship.
• Work closely with the Fundraising Operations Manager and the team to support the growth of income streams, including but not limited to, individual giving, Gift Aid, legacies, trading, community fundraising and membership.
• Work with the communications team on the delivery of digital communications, including social media and e-communications for a diverse range of audiences.
• Play a key role in fundraising appeals and campaigns including our yearly Big Give Christmas Challenge, Summer Appeal, Thanking Campaign and any other fundraising initiative or project as directed by the Fundraising Operations Manager or Director of Fundraising.

Re-engage is a charity that is positive about older age and committed to reducing loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. We inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation.
 
Our volunteers work together to create better communities and help to enrich the lives of our members. Older people who may have felt very alone now feel valued as individuals, continue to form friendships, and have groups that give support. We are seeking a part-time Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to help raise funds for these vital projects by researching and writing applications and reports to charitable trusts and foundations, and by supporting grant applications to public funders. We are excited to bring this role in-house, having recently worked with a consultant trusts fundraiser. We currently raise £250,000 pa from trusts and foundations, and enjoy established relationships, including with multi-year funders.

The role holders will provide efficient, effective and confidential administrative support and assistance across each of our four regional safeguarding teams.

Working as part of a collaborative service, each Team Coordinator will play a key role in enabling the regional safeguarding teams to deliver timely and professional advice, guidance and interventions to churches and church-based community projects and work across the regions.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

About the role:

The post holder will support Respect’s Head of Finance to deliver an efficient budget holder support service to Respect’s Deputy Director of the Drive Partnership. This will ensure effective  financial planning, monitoring, reporting, fundraising support as well as identifying and implementing potential for system improvements.

About you:

You must be able to work remotely and at a level where you are able to prioritise your workload and provide good financial customer care to your budget holders.

Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a Director of Income Generation to lead on securing income. This is an exciting role which will focus on: 

• maximising our unique portfolio of corporate supporters; further growing our Trust and Grants income, including building partnerships with like-minded charities; 
• building our events-based fundraising, including bespoke events; 
• looking for new areas for growth which could include developing a HNWI giving programme. 

This role sits within our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will manage our Fundraising team. You will seek to maximise value from opportunities across the organisation and ensure that fundraising is consistent with the charity’s broader goals. You will also work closely with of Director of Employment and Opportunities and team to co-design a Corporate Supporter Strategy. 

To be successful, you will need proven success in securing five and six-figure value partnerships (both in corporate and philanthropy), as well as an overall understanding of our wider key income streams. Previous experience of working in a youth charity is highly desirable. Whilst your income generation achievements are important, your mindset and the way you approach your work are equally important to us, and we are looking for an inspiring and collaborative leader who seeks out opportunities alongside supporting your team to achieve their potential. 

We are a remote-based organisation which promotes flexible working. This role will require frequent travel to our hub cities (Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Manchester).
