The Head of IT Support is responsible for UNISON’s entire technology infrastructure, and provision of systems and services to all our staff, members and lay officers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. The Partnerships Manager will maintain close professional relationships with supporters that are bespoke and require excellent interpersonal skills, with most meetings taking place in-person, in central London.

The Role:

As a member of the Work Experience team, you will play a key role in facilitating meaningful work experience placements for young people in Tower Hamlets. In this role, you'll work closely with local employers in Tower Hamlets and the City of London to support them in delivering engaging placements.

Responsibilities will include actively recruiting and onboarding new employers through phone calls, online meetings and carrying out on-site health and safety checks. In addition, you’ll support the Work Experience Manager in delivering school-based sessions, such as assemblies and Q&A drop-ins, to help prepare young people for their placements. You’ll also assist in coordinating placements at The Switch by creating schedules and supporting young people with their tasks. During delivery weeks, the team is responsible for providing responsive support to employers and schools. As Research Manager – Contracts and Funding, you will play a vital role in the delivery of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s growing research portfolio. You will lead on the financial and contractual aspects of our research funding processes. You will help ensure our funding is administered responsibly, efficiently, and in a way that maximises impact for people affected by dementia. This role sits within the Research Directorate, an ambitious, supportive and friendly team, and working closely with colleagues across Finance and Fundraising.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Research award financial oversight

· Maintain systems to track financial data associated with funded grants, providing information to internal teams and act as the primary contract for all questions related to financial award data

· Monitor active grants for financial compliance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting from researchers and host institutions.

· Collaborate with the Finance team and Research Leadership team to maintain robust grant forecasting and budget control across research programmes.

· Provide advice and training on financial best practices to internal teams

· Implement, oversee and refine a grants audit approach and lead on the annual AMRC data collection

· Work with teams across the organisation to identify efficiencies and improvements to existing procedures

Research contracts and agreements

· Lead the drafting, negotiation, and finalisation of all research-related contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, funding agreements, collaboration agreements, and data agreements, working with the Partnerships manager as appropriate.

· Liaise with host institutions, collaborating organisations, and legal advisors to resolve contractual queries and ensure efficient processing.

· Working with internal and external legal counsel, ensure contracts are consistent with ARUK’s policies, funder requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Research policy and process development

· Contribute to the refinement of ARUK’s research finance and contracts policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring they remain aligned with best practice and compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks.

· Support the development and roll-out of new funding schemes by advising on financial models and contract terms.

· Represent ARUK at relevant sector forums, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in research funding and compliance.

Management Responsibilities

· Line management of a Research Executive, effectively delegating work to support delivery of their objectives

· Help to promote an inspiring team culture across the Research Funding team where personal development is prioritised

What we are looking for:

· Significant experience in research finance and/or research contract management, ideally within a medical research funder, university, NHS, or research setting.

· Sound knowledge of research funding frameworks, budgeting principles, and financial governance.

About the Role

Our Young Person’s Sanctuarys' Youth Mental Health Worker role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area. The role will be part of a larger Young Persons Sanctuary team made up of YPS Youth Mental Health Workers, YPS Manager and volunteers.

Service Delivery

• Deliver crisis focussed 1:1s and ensure outcomes which supports young people experiencing a mental health crisis in Milton Keynes, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed crisis service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
• Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process and undertaking 1:1s.
• Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
• Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.
• Attendance to mandatory reflective practice is required for this role. It occurs once every six weeks for one and a half hours.

This post will lead the community engagement work with young people across the three boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster. You will lead SASH’s young persons’ outreach and engagement, and provide information, advice and support to young people on issues related to sexual health and wellbeing as well as signposting to appropriate services. A key component of the role will be to engage young people in the programme in

innovative and creative ways with an expectation to be delivering in outreach settings a minimum of three days a week.

For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. This is a highly commercial role, which is key in ensuring service quality is maximised, and financial performance targets are achieved. The Senior Finance Manager will lead a team of 4 and will suit someone happy to work fully remotely whilst developing excellent relationships across a large, multi-location organisation.

Main Duties:

• Budgeting and Cost Control - Lead divisional budget setting and forecasting process
• Coordinate monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management and external funders and commissioners
• Interpret and present complex financial information to non-finance managers, supporting decision-making and improvements to budget and forecast performance
• Financial Reporting - Maintain robust financial controls across the division and coordinate the audit process with the financial reporting team. Preparation of year end accounts, liaising with auditors
• Lead the team to produce external financial returns to funders, dealing with queries

Person Specification:

• CCAB Qualified
• Substantial experience of working at senior level in financial management across a complex organisation, ideally working on high-profile contracts with external funders
• Experience leading and motivating a team
• Experience leading strategic work streams supporting annual accounting cycle and longer-term financial planning requirements
• Experience of financial planning, costing, and option / investment appraisals
• Experience of budgeting, planning, reporting, and supporting budget holders
• Experience of FRS and charity SORP would be highly desirable

• Support the Corporate Partnership team by participating in regular events, work parties, walks, and talks.
• Work with the Supporter Engagement Manager and the Communications Team to review and update the membership sections of the Trust website.

Please note that this role will require lone working and some weekend and evening working.
