We are excited to be recruiting a Communities Manager to join our Communities team. You’ll work with our team to deliver the goals set out in Join the Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-2026, and to develop and deliver our exciting new strategy in the coming years.
We want to better connect with, listen to and mobilise the communities we work with. This role will play an integral part in building our parent and carer communities. You will support with the expansion of our ground-breaking Parent Power chapters, supporting with the development of local parent/carer communities and creation of a national parent network.
Reporting to the Director of Communities, you will:
- Lead the Parent Power delivery team, including the Communities Officers and Parent Power Community Organisers
- Line manage two Communities Officers and several Parent Power Community Organisers responsible for delivery of parent/carer 121s and meetings
- Manage partnerships with Parent Power partner organisations and schools, ensuring high quality project delivery and dealing with/escalating issues to ensure positive solutions are reached
- Manage Parent Power chapter budgets and operational Parent Power processes, including implementation of our evaluation framework and data protection
- Manage the process for recruiting and inducting new Community Organisers

We’re seeking an Individual Giving and Legacy Officer to join our growing Individual Giving and Legacy team!
This is a brand-new role, and you will have the chance to develop your knowledge across both areas of fundraising. In this role, you’ll deliver multi-channel campaigns that recruit supporters and you will develop our stewardship journeys, so supporters have a great experience.

As Senior Caseworker, you will provide first and second-tier specialist advice and casework support on a range of welfare benefits issues. The post holder will manage and develop youth-led community projects in which young people develop their leadership and employability skills through becoming actively involved in their community and participating in self-directed community action. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of several youth-led community projects, primarily the organisation of youth-led community events, but might also include elements of other youth-led activities, such as youth action team, health champions and ambassadors.
For example, typically, this would involve working with groups of around 10 young people in each cohort and support them to deliver their community event project over a 12-week period. Examples of events include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and our community Christmas dinner. This post will be part of the delivery team overseeing self-directed community action projects. The post holder may also support drop-in sessions and other activities aimed at engaging young people and referring them onto the youth-led community action programme.

Elders Voice is a charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Brent. Our mission is to enable older people to live safely and independently in the homes of their choosing and lead happier and healthier lives. Role Overview

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.
· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.
· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.
Specific duties to include the following:
o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.
o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.
o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions.
o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media.
o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools.
o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity.
o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa).
o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MP visits to CAP projects.
Skills, attributes and experience
- Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, police, retailers and licensing.
- Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.
- Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan.
- Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events.
- Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills.
- Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation.
Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 3 days of consultancy per week. All reasonable and agreed travel expenses will be paid in line with invoice arrangements.

The role
Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim Finance Manager will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.

The Benefits Service within South East London Mind is a well-established offer of support to clients who need to access welfare benefits they are entitled to receive. The service currently provides casework support for people who need to challenge benefits decisions across the three boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. There is also a cross-area team of volunteers who assist with form filling and all aspects of the assessment process.
We are looking for a Benefits Service Manager with significant experience of working within welfare benefits. You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable. We hope to be able to extend our offer of support in the future so it will be important you have an interest in developing the service.
Applicants should have previous experience of thinking strategically to develop a service and of managing a team to deliver the support. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

For a complex global organisation undergoing significant change and transformation, we are recruiting a permanent Group Financial Controller. This role will lead all global financial accounting and statutory reporting. It will support the CFO and Global FD in the leadership and management of all financial accounting, including corporate statutory reporting across the Charity group and 40+ subsidiaries, month-end close and financial compliance, consolidation and balance sheet reporting, audit, short-term cash flow forecasting and working capital management including inter-company. Leading a large multi-disciplined team via 6 direct reports, the Group Financial Controller will also manage the performance of the offshore Managed Service Provider and SAP finance processes.
Main Duties:
- As part of the Finance Leadership Team, direct and manage finance staff globally
- Lead the improvement of the quality of the financial close processes in SAP and the accuracy of data
- Lead and deliver monthly reporting and insight on balance sheet for inclusion in MI
- Lead delivery of embedding and improving a new weekly 13-week cash-flow forecasts model
- Lead improvements to cash forecasting at entity level to the direct method short term 13-week cash flow forecast
- Lead and deliver year-end reporting process in accordance with UK GAAP and Charities SORP
- Coordinate preparation and audit of statutory accounts for all entities globally
- Ensure financial policy framework is robust and clears all accounting and reporting standards
