Reporting to the CEO, this role will take overall strategic responsibility for the financial and operational management of MyBnk. The role will manage the internal and external financial processing and reporting, ensuring statutory and donor compliance, and foster a business partnering approach between the Finance team and the wider organisation. Our Finance and Operations Director will offer strategic insight into planning, forecasting, financial modelling and budgeting. The role will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and be a trusted expert advising the Board of Trustees. They will be a key driver of operational efficiency and improvement.

Strategic Financial Management

Lead budgeting and management accounting processes, ensuring that senior management and trustees have a strong understanding of the financial implications of their plans and decisions, including forward financial modelling and forecasts, variance analyses, cashflow forecasts and reserves targets.

Purpose of role
We began offering a free programme of home school support when Covid-19 struck and many families were thrown into the unknown world of home schooling – made even more challenging when your own education isn’t up to scratch or English is your second language. Since then, we have expanded our offer of online after-school classes to those who remain the most negatively impacted by being out of school or may be falling behind due to other household circumstances.
Duties will vary dependent on your skills/ availability but may include:

Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Legacy Manager with demonstrated experience, preferably within the charity sector or comparable commercial environment. The role will involve primarily working from home and must be situated in or near London to attend regular in person meetings with key staff.
Key responsibilities
Take responsibility for a portfolio of around 300 legacy pledgers in order to deepen relationships and offer excellent stewardship to ensure that legacy pledgers feel valued by STUK and their pledge is retained.
Act as the first point of contact for legacy enquiries, both internal and external, responding with authority, sensitivity and diplomacy, so that legacy enquirers and intenders choose to leave STUK a gift in their Will.
Plan and deliver a programme of marketing and advertising to promote legacy giving and grow our pipeline of legacy supporters. This will include contributing to campaign strategy development; producing marketing materials including newsletters; and consulting with the Head of Individual Giving re legacy mailings.
Undertake general legacy communications including developing a tangible legacy vision, make phone calls, arrange one to one meetings and write personal notes/letters.
Organise at least 2 – 3 legacy events per year including post-event follow-up.
Organise legacy stewardship activities such as recognition mechanisms.
Liaise with and oversee the administrative work of Legacy Link, our legacy administrators.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy activity on Salesforce and in shared files.
Provide useful data insight and analysis producing regular statistical, qualitative and financial reports of legacy activity.
Manage in memoriam marketing.
Travel
There is limited but regular travel into London for regular team meetings as well as periodic travel as needed around the UK for meetings with legacy pledgers and to organise legacy events.
Required Education and Experience
5+ years of relevant experience with exposure to legacy marketing and liaison with legacy enquirers, considerers and pledgers preferred.
A proven history of generating significant growth in key legacy metrics such as numbers of legacy enquirers and pledgers.
Demonstrated success in developing substantive donor relationships and in supporting senior management and programme staff, to execute donor and engagement strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both management and donors.
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Able to make sound decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.
Able to function both independently and as part of a global team.
Familiar with the MS Office and donor management systems. Knowledge of Salesforce and First Class preferred.

Our support helps Now Teachers stay in teaching: 75% of Now Teachers are still in teaching 2 years after qualifying, compared to much lower percentages nationally. Nearly 90% of our cohort are satisfied or very satisfied with the support they get from Now Teach.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Role overview
As Operations Executive, you will collaborate closely with the COO to enhance our operational efficiency and ensure seamless cross-organisational progress. In this key position, you will be responsible for monitoring and advancing our objectives, fostering collaboration, and optimizing processes to achieve our strategic goals, as well as providing first line HR and operations support to the whole of Now Teach.
This role will involve working across several projects/services at a time, and the priorities of the role will adapt and develop over time depending on the needs and priorities of the organisation and where the support is needed most. If you are super organised, love coordination, communication and you have a keen eye for detail, this could be the job for you.
In this role you will……
Organisational effectiveness
- Working with the COO, create tools and processes to track progress against organisational objectives, as well as designing and running the annual organisational objective setting process, in close consultation with the COO and other key staff members.
- Proactively identify and mitigate cross-departmental risks to ensure timely and effective mitigation.
- Identify and propose suggestions for improvement to cross organisational systems, processes and ways of working.
- Own the policy update log and process, engaging the team and bringing in subject matter experts as required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and agile ways of working, including defining our approach to project management.
- Provide reporting and analysis as required by the COO and CEO.
- Ensure all key organisational dates and meetings are booked and clearly communicated with backwards planning of critical milestones.
People coordination and support
- Lead the onboarding, offboarding, training, and development of all Now Teach staff members, continuously enhancing these processes to align with organisational values.
- Develop our people processes and policies in a way which is aligned to our values and enhances the experience of all staff members.
- Act as a point of contact on general HR/People and operational queries for the Now Teach team and administer relevant people files and our employee database (SafeHR).
- Support in the recruitment of diverse and effective staff, ensuring an effective recruitment process is in place for hiring managers to follow.
- Manage and analyse our quarterly staff survey, making suggestions for how we can improve the staff experience.
- Ensure there is an up-to-date record of all contracts and agreements with contractors and freelancers.
- Provide support to the payroll process as necessary.
General support and administration
- Own the scheduling and planning of Team and collaboration days, securing and booking meeting rooms and locations and cohering an internal team to plan an engaging employee experience.
- Coordinate IT support services with our outsourced provider, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the organisation
- Maintain the Now Teach equipment register.
- Deliver induction training on the basics of our IT and technology set up
- Support with the running of our CRM, liaising across departments regarding any system development or change requests

About the role
We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with a strong team work ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Bath are area's filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Bristol hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.
