The climate crisis is a child right's crisis that threatens the fulfilment of all of children's rights. It is therefore of central importance to Save the Children's mission and a critical driver in our 2025-27 strategy.

The Climate Change team is working as part of the Global Outcomes Department, having our Impact and Influencing function catalyse positive change for children and their communities; by driving influencing agendas and bringing knowledge, evidence, analysis and expertise to our partnerships, programmes and advocacy work.    

 The Climate Change Team at SCUK also works as part of the Global Save the Children movement and the wider sector to drive long lasting systems changes at the global and country levels. We are committed to promoting inclusive and equitable solutions, amplifying the voices of children most affected by climate change, and prioritising locally led efforts for lasting change, through our ever-growing portfolio in UK, Africa and Asia. We are also committed to shifting powers to the local actors and country office by strengthening capacities particularly through providing high quality technical assistance for design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of climate change projects (especially supported by GCF and other multilateral, bilateral, philanthropies and private sector development partners).

The teams' vision is to ‘Protect children's rights at scale from climate change impacts, improve children's equality, and enhance their influence in climate-related decisions addressing intersectionality, inequality and injustice, including intergenerational injustice.' 

 About the role 

As a Senior Climate Change Advisor you will provide technical leadership in climate change issues and adaptation actions to shape and drive influencing and impact agendas within Save the Children and the wider sector. You will provide expert technical guidance to drive impactful programme design and evidence generation, and to policy and advocacy goals. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers and partners, lead capacity strengthening for colleagues and partners, and champion equality, inclusion and the shifting power agenda. 

 In this role, you will:  

• Serve as the Technical Lead for a multi-country Climate Adaptation programme (yet to be designed and approved) in a Fragile, Conflict, and Violence-affected region, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). 
• Provide global thought leadership in climate change (adaptation primarily), environment & natural resource management to shape and drive shared influencing and impact agendas within the Save the Children movement and the wider sector, maintaining up-to-date expertise and monitoring relevant external trends. 
• Develop and deliver very high-quality policy, research, and/or technical programme design and evaluation with minimal supervision, ensuring inclusivity and excellence in implementation. 
• Contribute to a strong learning culture through leading or supporting research, evaluation, innovation and knowledge sharing. 
• Support Country Offices to integrate climate change risk management and resilience outcomes into ongoing and future humanitarian and developmental programmes, strategies, and policies. 
• Contribute to and lead the development of climate-related research, studies, evaluations, and documentation of good practice to build a body of evidence, based on best practices and lessons learned from global and national experiences, to support (i) knowledge management, (ii) evidence generation, and (iii) programme improvements 
• Facilitate capacity strengthening through mentoring, coaching, and training, providing formal and informal support to colleagues and partners to build expertise and effectiveness. 
• Work closely with colleagues across Save the Children UK and the wider movement to ensure climate is mainstreamed across all thematic areas, ensuring that colleagues are equipped with the latest climate-related science and best practices. 
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including donors, government agencies, multilateral partners, and peer organisations, to enhance collaboration and secure funding for climate-related initiatives.
• Support Country Offices in building relationships with GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and other key stakeholders to advance climate finance access and impact. 
• Work with partnerships and fundraising teams to identify and develop strategic partnerships with external organisations that aligns with Save the Children's climate-related objectives, and to identify funding opportunities for climate-related projects. 

About you  

We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills 

• Proven experience and the ability to design and implement large-scale climate adaptation programmes in developing countries, for multi-lateral and bi-lateral development partners 
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific evidence on climate change into practical programming and policy recommendations 
• Proven ability to strengthen evidence and learning uptake through analysis and collaboration, and proven ability to produce high-quality knowledge products (e.g. research, case studies, evaluations, etc.) 
• Strategic thinker and demonstrated thought leader driven by impact and evidence, curious to keep up to date with new ideas and innovations, who sees the positive potential in change 
• Experience of strengthening the integration of climate resilience and environmental sustainability into sectoral programs and/or Experience of designing and implementing nature-based solutions and adopting evidence-based ecosystem-based approaches
• Familiarity with global climate frameworks, funding mechanisms (e.g. the Green Climate Fund), and relevant policy processes. 
• Experience supporting or managing multidisciplinary teams or consortia, ideally across countries or regions. 
• The ability to be a thought leader in global or national adaptation planning such as climate and health; climate and nutrition; nature-based solutions; locally led adaptation; climate and gender; food and water security, etc. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and authenticity that enable effective communication with different audiences 
• Collaborative team player capable of coaching, motivating and working through others to achieve outstanding results 
• Effective convenor, creating synergy and maximizing collaboration 
• Proven ability to build external relationships and partnerships, and to influence decision-makers,  policy audiences (including politicians) and donors, and other key actors globally

Context for this role

This is a pivotal moment for FAST as the need for our work has expanded due to more young people falling into poverty and struggling in schools. Whilst capacity is a challenge with 60% cut in public youth programmes over the last decade (YMCA 2020). We are still growing strong and are able to work with 300 young people annually. However, our desire is to continue this work of establishing and growing a healthy youth organisation that provides excellent & vibrant youth work that makes a difference to young people’s lives and produces healthy staff that are equipped and empowered to do the job they love. Therefore, the need to grow our team is quite pressing. We are in search for someone with experience leading youth work and developing a healthy organisation who can help strengthen our work here in very significant ways, with a particular gifting in thinking strategically and working hard to get results.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Enfield, working 35 hours per week. The service has been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

The Membership and Awards Assistant is a new role in the Membership team at the British Pharmacological Society. The Membership and Awards Assistant will work with the Membership and Awards Manager, other Society staff and the Society’s members to ensure that all aspects of the membership and awards service are operated effectively and efficiently, including membership, awards and travel bursary applications, member renewals and progression, and election to Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship.

JUSTICE is looking to recruit an Interim Head of Governance and Operations to join our friendly, values-led team. This is a fixed term post for 12 months (maternity cover) and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of governance and operational management. 

We are looking for an individual who has an interest in the purpose of the charity (to improve the UK justice system so that it is fair and within everyone’s reach), as well as a keen interest in taking responsibility for a diverse and wide range of tasks from providing and overseeing the secretariat functions related to our governance and risk as well as leading in important cross-cutting areas such as audit, budget management and providing HR support. This role will really suit someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable with a degree of autonomy and who thrives in a role where no two days are the same. 

This role plays a central role in the workings of the organisation including with our Policy Team, our Comms Team and our Development Team. They also join Senior Management Team meetings and all Board and Committee meetings. The role currently line manages one direct report but this may be increased to two and reports into and works closely with the Chief Executive. This role also leads on the relationships with our accountants (who deliver our financial management and accounting functions) and other external contractors. 

JUSTICE is a law reform and human rights organisation, working to improve processes and policies to support everyone, particularly marginalised groups, be able to seek justice or a remedy when their rights have been breached or the law has been broken. We also seek to improve the justice system as a whole, ensuring that laws are clear and consistent and that the government and other key decisionmakers are held to account.

We are a founding member of The Justice Hub, which is situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral. in London. We also have staff based in other locations including in Manchester, Sheffield and Edinburgh. As a UK wide organisation, we are keen to support team members from all over the UK and this is a role that can be fulfilled in a hybrid way. Our London base has a number of hot desks dedicated to JUSTICE and access to meeting rooms and other spaces and we work alongside other like-minded charities in the justice sector as part of the Hub. 

All team members are expected to join the ‘in-person’ days in the office (roughly 5 days a year) but otherwise we encourage and support flexible working. In addition, this role requires a minimum of 5 days per month working in our London offices. Alongside flexible working conditions, every member of staff is entitled to 27 days annual leave plus an additional two days of leave to look after your wellbeing and to celebrate your birthday. We also close the office between 25 December and 1 January (inclusive), which is addition to the annual leave mentioned above. We review salaries according to inflationary changes on an annual basis, contribute 8% to your pension for the first 2yrs, rising to a 10.5% contribution thereafter and offer generous parental and dependency-related leave. As part of looking after your wellbeing, we also provide access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

• Grant Funder Relationships: Cultivating and expanding deep, long-term, and genuinely mutually beneficial relationships with a diverse portfolio of military and non-military grant-making organisations.   

• Grant Portfolio Management: Overseeing the lifecycle of all awarded grants, ensuring reporting, optimal allocation and tracking of funds (balancing restricted and unrestricted to best serve our families), and administrative oversight to maintain high standards of compliance and transparency which our funders expect and deserve.  

• Impactful Storytelling and Application Development: Translating Scotty's heartfelt mission and profound impact into compelling, donor-centric narratives and high-quality proposals that truly stand out from the crowd. I am responsible for:  

• Grant Strategy & Planning: Developing and implementing the grants strategy with a comprehensive, rolling programme of grant applications that are perfectly aligned with our charity’s strategic plans and agreed annual budget. We'll be focusing on securing those larger, transformative grants that make a real difference to starting each year with a higher percentage of funding already secured.  

• Funder Research & Identification: Proactively researching and identifying new, high-potential funding opportunities that truly resonate with Scotty's mission and strategic priorities. This means using industry best practices and relationship building to find our perfect partners.  

• Proposal Development & Submission: Leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, persuasive grant applications. This involves crafting compelling narratives from the heart, developing robust budgets factoring in overheads, and ensuring timely submission.   

• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both our existing and prospective funders. This means regular, personalised communication, sharing impactful updates and acting as a Scotty’s ambassador at funder events and meetings.  

• Grant Management & Reporting: Meticulously managing all stages of awarded grants, including careful financial tracking (using Salesforce), ensuring we always adhere to grant agreements, and compiling comprehensive, insightful end-of-project reports that truly demonstrate our impact and foster continued support.  

• Internal Collaboration: Working closely with our Families team, Finance Team, Comms Team and Fundraising Team to identify funding needs, gather powerful impact data, and ensure seamless delivery and awareness of all grant-funded activities. We work to weekly transparent Success Measures (3 key agreed metrics which help show we’ve had a great week and give leading and lagging indicators on how we’re doing), monthly and quarterly budget targets and short, daily and weekly team huddles to share good news, keep our culture forefront and ensure we can best support each other and deliver for the charity.  

• Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of grant opportunities, regularly tracking progress, and providing accurate forecasting to help us make smart, strategic decisions for our future.   

• Data Management: Ensuring all grant funding information, relationships, and communications are accurately inputted and updated on our charity’s CRM database (Salesforce). Keeping things tidy and organised is key for good governance.  

• Grants landscape: Staying abreast of the trends and developments in the grants and trusts sector, identifying new approaches and opportunities to enhance Scotty's fundraising efforts and keep us ahead of the curve.  

• Team Support: Providing a helping hand with administrative support to other areas of the charity if required. We're all good team players here at Scotty's, and we always support each other.  

3-Month Goals:  

• Onboarding & Immersion: Dive deep and achieve a comprehensive understanding of Scotty’s operating system (The Scotty’s OS), our values, our behaviours, our mission, and the significant impact we have. This will happen through intro meetings with everyone on the team and a tailored onboarding program.  

• Grant Portfolio Audit & Handover: Conduct an audit of our existing grant portfolio, reviewing active grants, reporting schedules, and our funder relationships. We'll begin the handover process for existing relationships with the Head of Fundraising, ensuring a smooth transition.  

• Funder Engagement & Feedback: Reach out and initiate contact with at least 5 key existing funders. This is about listening, gathering their valuable feedback, understanding their priorities, and beginning to build those personal, trusting rapports.  

• Pipeline Initiation: Identify and qualify a minimum of 5 new potential grant-making organisations. We'll prioritise those who truly align with Scotty's mission and have the capacity for significant, multi-year funding – our future partners.  

6-Month Goals:  

• Income Target Ownership: Take full, enthusiastic ownership of ensuring we are on track to hit our existing grant budget lines. You'll provide regular and accurate forecasting, keeping us all informed and confident.  

• Relationship Deepening: Strengthen relationships with at least 5 key funders, leading to demonstrable progress towards increased or renewed multi-year support.  

• New Grant Acquisition: Secure at least 2 new grants of significant value (e.g. £10k+) from previously untapped funders, showcasing your success in converting those pipeline opportunities into real impact.  

• Strategic Grant Mapping: Develop a comprehensive grant funding strategy, outlining key target areas, funder tiers, and a detailed timeline for our major applications for the next 12-18 months.   

• Impact Reporting Enhancement: Collaborate internally to refine and enhance our reporting mechanisms. We want to ensure our data is readily available and tells the most compelling story for our funder reports.  

9-Month Goals:  

• Multi-Year Grant Success: Secure at least one new multi-year grant partnership with an annual income of £50k+, truly demonstrating your ability to unlock larger, sustained funding that makes a lasting difference.  

• Pipeline Expansion & Value: Add £100k+ of new, qualified grant fundraising opportunities to our pipeline each month, always with a keen eye on those high-value prospects.  

• Income Exceedance: Be on track to exceed the annual grant fundraising target, demonstrating strong performance and strategic growth that helps more bereaved military families.

You will be directly responsible for the management of frontline support staff (currently 3 in number) and for the volunteers aligned to those staff members/services. You will provide advocacy, referral and ongoing practical and emotional support to Carers through individual and group work as required, facilitating the monthly Male Carers peer support group and overseeing the volunteer led Male Carers Social group.

You will work collaboratively with other local agencies delivering training and undertaking outreach and in developing and maintaining partnerships and referral pathways that support Carers’ health and wellbeing.

You will share responsibility for improving, developing and growing the services to ensure that they continue to effectively meet changing needs. This will include generating new ideas for services and projects and writing fundraising applications.

• To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

• Liaise and manage relationships with the Senior Leadership in the schools and academies we work with, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes. 

• To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

• To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery. 

• At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

• Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

• Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

• Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme. 

• To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will manage and develop all aspects of Birth Companions’ criminal justice-based services and line-manage the criminal justice services Coordinators, (currently three staff members but this likely to increase as we expand our services).

They will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with other relevant agencies and ensure the successful delivery of services through internal monitoring and evaluation, external evaluation and the charity’s governance structures.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of new prison and wider criminal justice system-based services through stakeholder engagement and service design where opportunities are identified.

Overall Purpose of the Role
 

The Senior Prospect Research Manager will lead the Prospect Research function at the Foundation, with support and direction from the Head of Philanthropy.  
 

You will be accountable for the ongoing development and delivery of the Prospect Research strategy, BE involved in and oversight of other policies and processes related to our pipeline growth and development, involving due diligence, gift acceptance protocols, database management and business planning.  
 

The Prospect Research function will be made up of this role and one Prospect Research Manager, who will report into you. Together, you will ensure that quality prospects are identified, researched and allocated to portfolios in collaboration with the high value fundraising teams. You will lead on our approach to prospect analytics, using data to evaluate fundraiser and programme performance, spot trends and opportunities and improve the efficiency of the team’s activity.

Our fundraising department has recently entered a period of ambitious growth and will shortly be launching a significant capital campaign for our children’s hospital.

Working Environment:

• Work alongside our Legal team to implement and oversee our Due Diligence policies and processes.  
• Oversee the regular data mining of Raiser’s Edge to identify opportunities from amongst our warmest constituents.  
• Work closely with fundraising leads to develop the prospect pipeline, in particular building our networks of advocates and influencers. This will include attending meetings with clinicians and other key stakeholders. Qualify and allocate prospects identified by the team.  
• Proactively engage with market intelligence which supports the identification of prospects and philanthropic trends, and highlights opportunities for future fundraising growth. This would include regular assessment of insight on transformational donations made worldwide, high net worth individuals and philanthropic trends.  
• Undertake strategy research which supports decision making relating to fundraising. This may include competitor analysis and feasibility work.
• Advocate best practice in the recording and processing of prospect data on Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data is accurate, relevant and processed as per the team’s Data Protection Policy and in line with The Data Protection Act 1998/ the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This will include working with the data team to identify data challenges and appropriate solutions for improving prospect data quality and cleanliness.  
• Work with the Head of Philanthropy to shape annual plans which best support Fundraisings priorities.  
• Provide the highest quality research activity which adds the most value to fundraising. This might include identifying training needs and formulating training sessions for the team.  
• Regularly network with sector peers to share best practice and generate insight on the latest developments in prospect research.  
• Using data analytics techniques, implement processes and procedures which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prospect research and prospect identification activity. 
• Support the Director of Fundraising and Head of Philanthropy in embedding a performance culture – including tracking identification, prospect movement, conversion rates and cleansing the pipeline on an ongoing basis.  
• Take a lead role in using data visualisation techniques to bring new insight to major gifts and prospect pipeline data which informs fundraising strategy. 

Experience

This role will join a vibrant and ambitious fundraising department, raising funds to support our work across the largest NHS Trust in the UK. You will be part of the Philanthropy Team, made up of prospect research, major giving, trusts and foundations, donor relations and events. The Team

Part of the Philanthropy Team, comprised of individuals focused on major giving, prospect research and trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will work closely with the corporate partnerships team and community and events team.

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Prospect Research Manager will play an integral role in managing the growth and development of the prospect pipeline to enable the fundraising ambitions of Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity.  
 

This role will make a significant contribution towards increasing our income by ensuring that the best potential supporters are identified, researched and allocated in collaboration with the high value fundraising teams.  

This role works across all areas of the team’s remit to deliver strategic insight on our highest-level prospects, using data science techniques to evaluate performance, spot trends and opportunities, including due diligence research, build prospect pipelines for priority fundraising projects, and work directly with fundraisers to manage prospect portfolios.  
 

Our fundraising department has recently entered a period of ambitious growth and will shortly be launching a significant capital campaign for our children’s hospital. We are investing in this pivotal role as we know it will be fundamental to our success in this campaign and beyond. This is a great opportunity for a prospect research professional who wishes to join an ambitious fundraising team at an incredibly exciting moment. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and strategic prospect research and intelligence which meets the needs of our fundraising team.  
• Conduct fundraising market research, from larger prospect finding projects to prospect ratings work, donor profiles, networks research, competitor analysis and occasional work on cultivation event briefings.  
• Work closely with the Senior Prospect Research Manager to ensure the team’s workplan is updated regularly and work assigned is carried out to deadline, sharing any capacity issues or challenges where they arise. 
• Carry out due diligence research on prospective donors, producing thorough and objective reports which support fundraising decisions and ensure adherence to our gift acceptance procedures and are agreed with the legal team  
• Identify networks of clinicians and stakeholders to assess the opportunities for reaching new potential donors.  
• Work with the Senior Prospect Development Manager to undertake work arising from portfolio reviews to clean fundraising portfolios.  
• Build strong cross-team working relationships, meeting with fundraisers on a regular basis to discuss needs, manage expectations and gain feedback.  
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Raiser’s Edge database which will include regular data mining activity, building complex queries and exports, and the creation of constituent records.  
• Advocate best practice in the recording and processing of prospect data on Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data is accurate, relevant and processed as per the team’s Data Protection Policy and in line with The Data Protection Act 2018/ the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. This will include working with the data team to identify data challenges and appropriate solutions for improving prospect data quality and cleanliness.  
• Work with the Senior Prospect Research Manager to develop annual plans which best support Fundraisings priorities.  
• Network regularly with sector peers to share best practice and generate insight on the latest developments in prospect research.  
• Alongside the Senior Prospect Research Manager, oversee prospect identification for priority fundraising projects and support team members in developing projects for prospecting.  
• Proactively engage with market intelligence which supports the identification of prospects and philanthropic trends, and highlights opportunities for future fundraising growth. This would include regular assessment of insight on transformational donations made worldwide, high net worth individuals and philanthropic trends. 

Working Environment:

The post holder should expect to: 
 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.  
• Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.  
• Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends.
