Better Society Capital's Investment Partnerships & Advisory Team provides expert advice, support and tools to investors that unlocks more capital for social impact. The team engages with a wide range of investors — trusts & foundations, private wealth managers, the Local Government Pension Scheme, family offices, and public finance institutions - to grow the social impact investment market. This engagement takes the form of advisory services, relationship management, and solution building. The team also supports Better Society Capital to achieve its mission by supporting key business priorities and building expert networks and pro bono partnerships that can bring further expertise into the sector. By building strategic partnerships, delivering high-quality expert advice, and engaging investors, the team helps channel more investment into solutions that drive meaningful social change.

What you will do:

The Investment Partnerships and Advisory manager will be responsible for day-to-day activities in relation to engaging with investors, business development and advisory project delivery work.

• Relationship management: nurturing new and ongoing relationships with investors and other key partners in the social investment ecosystem, including developing Advisory opportunities.
• Delivering advisory projects: delivering quality advice to clients, supporting them to progress on their impact investment activities. Projects may include landscape analysis, strategy development and/or the design of innovative investment solutions.
• Supporting the development of new market solutions: Helping develop creative and innovative solutions to social issues where social impact investment can be an important part of the solution.
• Market analysis: Undertaking detailed analysis of the market, prospective investors, and the financial, social impact and systems change cases of investment opportunities
• Stakeholder engagement: facilitating BSC’s participation in workshops, networking events, and other investor initiatives that help unlock more capital for impact.
• Content creation: originating and owning high quality, effective presentations, reports and pitch decks to showcase the value of social investment and present insights to investors.
• Internal stakeholder management: working closely with BSC’s investment and engagement groups to help bring insights & connections to BSC’s investment and market building activities.

Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support services and contributing to project work across the Harris Federation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality IT support, advice and guidance in line with ITIL and HarrisNet principles for Head Office, academy staff and students
• Logging all IT support needs accurately in the Service Management system
• Retaining ownership of academy support tickets and updating staff on progress
• Resolving support tickets within SLA targets
• Re-routing or escalating tickets to the correct team and working with third line support, Project Managers and stakeholders

• Identifying recurring incidents and performing root-cause analysis
• Notifying key contacts of major incidents affecting service delivery

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based within a non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access however we are unable to guarantee this at some of the other locations where the role is based such as homes and community based locations.

Salary: £31,700

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, hours may be extended 08:00 - 18:00. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service/participant requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle

• Coordinate the renewal and issuance of permissions for clergy and laity in conjunction with Area Administrator.

• Manage the clergy 'blue files' in accordance with GDPR including ensuring blue files are available for statutory services when requested (e.g. police)
• Handling and being privy to highly sensitive and challenging information inclusive of blue files, historic, and ongoing safeguarding concerns.
• Identifying appropriate action in response to pastoral situations as they occur (e.g. Clergy person or other in crisis; deliverance queries; safeguarding concerns).

You will lead a small team to develop and deliver the College’s events programme, including our annual conference, to increase engagement with the sexual and reproductive healthcare community and raise the College’s profile with new and existing audiences. 

The role:

Events management

• Works with the wider CoSRH team, including members of the College, to develop an annual events programme to meet our educational responsibilities, provide networking and membership growth opportunities and raise the profile of the College
• Works with and supports members and staff through project groups to deliver events (digital, in-person and hybrid), including programme design, speaker and stakeholder liaison, logistics, and evaluation

• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact, specifically leading on cross-selling meaningful cash and support propositions to other audiences (e.g., events participants, community fundraisers, and campaigners).

• Work with Agile principles in mind, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to plan and deliver high-quality work.

• Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes.

• As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders. 

Database and Compliance

• Develop your existing experience and affinity for supporter data to improve outcomes for supporters.

• Hold a very good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, as well as the Fundraising Code of Practice.

• Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Wordpress and MailChimp.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

• Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience in an Individual Giving role(s) with a track record of managing both digital acquisition and offline appeals (direct mail/telemarketing) for a charity or social cause, as well as significant experience in retention, marketing communications, supporter services.

• Agency Management: Experience managing creative, fundraising and digital marketing agencies, to deliver a variety of campaigns or activities across multiple channels.

• Digital Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta Business Suite, Google paid advertising, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.

• Strategic Thinking: Evidence of leading successful integrated campaigns resulting in significant income or lead generation.

• Audience development: Led development of successful new propositions for cross-selling across existing audiences.

• Creative Skills: The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for various channels.

• Financial Acumen: The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on campaigns across all channels.

• Supporter Experience: A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters PCR.

• Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn, and work with stakeholders cross-functionally.

• Agile Working: Experience working within Agile project management frameworks would be beneficial.

• Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of WordPress website optimisation and plugins, or a strong desire to learn.

• Passion: A strong belief in the work we do at PCR, and a demonstrable desire to improve outcomes for patients through our work in fundraising.
