About the Role
The Co-Executive Director – Development & Impact will provide joint leadership for People’s Economy, inspiring and driving our team, community and partners to achieve our mission. Their focus is on building and strengthening the organisation by ensuring we have the systems, resources, knowledge and processes in place to scale our programmes and deliver our strategy effectively.
This is a generalist leadership role focused on building organisational capacity rather than holding deep specialist expertise in all areas. The postholder will instead assess what we need to strengthen the systems that support our programmes and make it happen.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for exceptional candidates to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:
listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.
provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide Reviews, Mental Health Reviews, Inquests, Independent Office of Police Conduct inquiries and other types of inquiries.
manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.
give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.
Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

Overall Purpose of the Head of Services
This new role reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The role reflects planned development and expansion in the charity’s direct service provision including the development of a permanent Helpline following a pilot project in 2025.
As a small national charity, the role combines hands on operational delivery and management with strategic leadership and vision for our Information services, Helpline, and other support services. ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading and developing RABI’s philanthropy and partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
This plays a pivotal role in shaping RABI’s fundraising strategy, identifying major funding opportunities and creating impactful engagement strategies to secure long-term financial support for the charity’s sustainability.
Relationship building is key to this position, communicating effectively with our donors by enhancing and strengthening relations through cultivation tactics and deepening relationships to ensure robust support from these influential stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraising strategy to drive RABI’s fundraising activities and support long-term sustainability. This includes overseeing the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
- Report on income and expenditure targets, ensuring targets are met and assisting with budget setting.
- Cultivate, solicit and steward relationships with larger funders, ensuring strong and sustained engagement.
- Develop tailored proposals and partnership packages aligned with potential partners’ priorities and interests.
- Manage, identify and build relationships with key corporate funders, negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring clear communication of expected deliverables.
- Oversee and manage all trust and foundation opportunities, identifying potential funders whilst monitoring and reporting on deliverables and outcomes ensuring timely delivery of all requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.

- Plan and execute donor stewardship events and activities to enhance engagement and retention. Ensure that donor recognition and communications are carried out with precision, ensuring donors feel valued and informed.
- Manage, track and utilise CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) to maintain up-to-date donor data, track progress and provide concise and timely reports on fundraising activities and income and expenditure reports. Analyse donor trends and engagement metrics to optimise fundraising strategies.
- Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR the CIOF Code of Fundraising Practice and RABI’s internal policies. Make certain the charity’s best practices are upheld in all donor interactions and fundraising activities.
- Responsibility for line management, providing guidance, support and performance feedback to ensure the development and success of team members.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, communications, service delivery, business development and external affairs to identify project funding opportunities, share donor insights and collaborate and support the development of other fundraising initiatives.
- Take part and contribute to team meetings.
- Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with RABI’s aims and objectives.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential
- Demonstrable experience in a senior fundraising role, with a proven track record in securing major funds from larger funders.
- Exceptional major donor management skills, with experience in donor stewardship, partnership development and engagement strategies that build long-term relationships.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of targeting, segmentation and response analysis.Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling applications, proposals and donor communications. Capable of tailoring messaging for different audiences and ensuring clarity, consistency and emotional impact.
- Experience of managing a fundraising team and assisting with recruitment and team development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.

Local peer-led bereavement support is a core part of what we do here at Sands. This is primarily delivered by Support Groups and Sands United football teams run by dedicated volunteers right across the UK, most of whom are bereaved themselves. The Role
The Head of Marketing and Communications will shape and lead a new marketing and comms strategy in line with our Phab Strategy 2025 to 2030 – raising awareness of our work, growing our supporter base, championing inclusive practice, and ensuring that our messaging reflects and amplifies disabled voices.
You will work closely with teams across the charity, especially fundraising, Adventures, and ACTS, to develop content and that help us connect with new audiences, demonstrate impact, and position Phab as a leader in disability inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership

Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy aligned with Phab’s mission and strategic objectives

The role: Your ultimate purpose is to secure funding for the charity. Your main source of funding will be business development. About the Degrees Initiative
The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification geoengineering (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions. The initiative has been working in different forms for over a decade, and our work receives worldwide coverage and widespread acclaim.
This is a unique opportunity to inform conversations on SRM in Asia, including the Pacific Islands. Rather than lobbying for outcomes, Degrees aims to support informed, independent policymaking by fostering connections between researchers and policymakers and strengthening institutional expertise. Degrees promotes regional research, creates spaces for policy-science dialogue, and supports the dissemination of Global South research.
Responsibilities
The Policy and Engagement Manager, Asia and the Pacific Islands will strengthen the voice of the Global South in discussions and potential negotiations on SRM research and governance with relevance to Asia by connecting experts to policy processes. Accordingly, the successful candidate will:

Identify and engage key policy actors (e.g. national delegates and legislators, scientific advisors, intergovernmental officials) in Asia and the Pacific Islands, connecting them to local SRM experts and providing them with information, where appropriate, while remaining neutral regarding the potential use and governance of SRM;

Work with SRM researchers from the region to support the creation of a coordinated community of experts;

Build informal and formal partnerships with like-minded organisations, helping to inform discussions and counter misinformation about climate and SRM

Share expertise and experience gained from Asia and the Pacific Islands with staff and researchers and participate, as appropriate, in activities in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean to gain similar expertise;

Identify the most impactful international forums and regional SRM discussions, and work to connect local experts into these;

Support the execution and coordination of the Degrees policy engagement strategy in collaboration with other policy and programmatic staff;

Role Purpose
- To provide psychosocial assessments and bereavement support interventions to children and young people and/or their significant adults or professionals (as appropriate) who are experiencing moderate levels of psychological distress as a result of a bereavement through the Winston’s Wish On Demand services as required.
- To work with children and young people and/or their significant adults (as appropriate) using a range of supportive methods, approaches and techniques, functioning at level 2 of the NICE psychological framework.
- To provide psychosocial education to children and young people and/or their significant adults (as appropriate) about grief, bereavement and coping skills.
- To carry out comprehensive risk assessments with children and young people, and/or their significant adults (as appropriate), and to liaise with relevant external agencies—including social services, the police, general practitioners, and parents or carers—following the safeguarding policy.
- To conduct referral callbacks on a regular weekly basis, applying clinical judgement to ensure that each child or young person is supported in accessing the most appropriate services for their individual needs at that time.
- To co-facilitate therapeutic group sessions in collaboration with the clinical team, and to deliver one-off psychosocial educational groups as required.
- To accurately record and maintain individual case data within the organisation’s CRM system, in accordance with Winston’s Wish policies and procedures. This includes documenting contact notes, safeguarding concerns, and any information shared with external agencies and parents/carers (as appropriate).
