We are looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - North  to lead and expand outreach efforts across the North of England. This full-time position is remote based, with regular travel across the region.

As a Community Fundraising Manager – North, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a small team of regional fundraisers
• Building networks with community leaders, clergy, schools, and donor groups
• Developing and implementing outreach and fundraising strategies in line with wider organisational goals
• Supporting and recruiting volunteers and public speakers (Community Appealers)
• Contributing to national campaigns, events and conferences

Essential skills and experience:

We undertake advice & support, research, movement building, communications and resourcing work to support, mobilise and advocate for the development of models of managing land that create shared social, economic and environmental benefits. Our research work supports collective learning related to working on and with the land. We communicate our findings through articles, blogs, podcasts, reports, events, and more - building a shared evidence base to support the development of a just land system. Through our research, we seek to make an impact at a local and a systemic level. We want to create conditions that allow people and communities to thrive, and promote care for the land and environment. We do this work on both a commercial and grant funded basis.

The role holder will lead the full range of Shared Assets’ research projects, from scoping and design through to delivery, follow up and evaluation. They will need to have experience of designing and carrying out research and learning activities with a wide range of partners - including academics, community groups, NGOS and local authorities - in collaborative ways. In the past we have worked on research projects of many scales - from large European Union funded consortia, to smaller, one-off pieces which help a local authority or community organisation move forward with their work. Often our research work involves collaborating with a group of other civil society organisations to provide evidence of why change in the land, food and farming system is needed, and generate action on these issues. 

The main areas of work are to: manage and deliver funded research projects (or projects with a research component) with partners, reflect with colleagues on what we are learning within and across workstreams as an organisation and sector, use this knowledge to create new ideas for research work, and support fundraising for these, as part of our ‘infrastructure’ role.

The Role

Manage the day-to-day delivery of mid-level donor activities, including tracking renewal cycles, supporting donor journeys, and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

About the role

We now seek a Philanthropy Data Officer to play a vital role in helping deliver our transformational fundraising efforts. About the role:

You will be resilient, confident & able to engage others, happy to work as part of a team, and willing to constantly learn and adapt to new legislation. You must have good communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. You will need good IT skills and the ability to develop and deliver training, presentations and reports. Knowledge of domestic abuse and stalking would be advantageous.

You will need to have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner. Have an understanding and knowledge of, and an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity. Knowledge of confidentiality and safe working practice in accordance with safeguarding legislation, General Data Protection Regulation and other legal requirements.

We are looking for Sessional Workers to support Advance’s Criminal Justice Services. Advance’s Criminal Justice Services work with women involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance’s Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required.

This post is not fixed hours or full time, work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

We’re looking for an HR Administrator to join our friendly team and help deliver a proactive, high-quality HR service. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same — from coordinating recruitment and onboarding, to supporting staff wellbeing and managing HR records, you’ll play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Keeping our HR systems and records up to date and accurate
• Coordinating recruitment campaigns and onboarding new starters
• Supporting staff throughout the employee lifecycle – from probation to leavers
• Helping deliver wellbeing initiatives and employee benefits
• Providing trusted HR support to staff and managers

What we’re looking for:

• Strong HR administration experience, with attention to detail and great organisational skills
• Confident communication skills — you listen, explain clearly, and build good relationships
• Knowledge of HR processes and employment law basics
• Emotional intelligence, discretion, and a positive, can-do approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
