About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Policy, Campaigns & Research, the Policy Manager will drive our engagement with government, policymakers, and stakeholders by crafting evidence-based positions that reflect the needs of the YMCA movement and the young people we serve.

You will be responsible for monitoring emerging policy developments, preparing responses to government announcements, and producing high-quality briefings and reports for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with local YMCAs to ensure our positions are grounded in lived experience and reflect the realities faced by communities across England and Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape public discourse, build influential relationships, and help us champion the issues that matter most – from youth homelessness and mental health to employment and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of YMCA’s public policy positions using robust research and insights.
• Monitor, analyse, and respond to government announcements, select committee work, and policy shifts.
• Produce briefings and reports for the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and senior leaders.
• Develop strong relationships with government departments, civil servants, and coalition partners.
• Collaborate with local YMCAs to ensure grassroots experiences inform national policy.

You are a confident communicator with a deep understanding of the UK policy landscape and experience influencing public policy at a senior level. You bring strategic insight, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, impactful messages.

The Trustees of The Pixel Fund are excited to appoint the Fund’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee the next stage of its growth and development following further generous bequests by the Trust’s settlors, and with planned increases in the level of future grant-making.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills, experience and aptitude to work with the Trustees to refine and support delivery of The Pixel Fund’s overall vision and strategy, and to be the public face of the charity.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the charity, currently carried out by a part-time administrator, which position is to be discontinued following the CEO appointment.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working in a leadership role with a board of Trustees, ideally with hands-on experience in grant-making and grant management, including managing a portfolio of live grant-holders.Strong financial and budgetary management skills are also desirable, in particular to reduce the Charity’s reliance on the Voluntary Treasurer.

The Trustees wish to appoint an individual who has a demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.The role will include upholding the charity’s vision, values and strategic focus, including championing equality, diversity and inclusion across our work.

The appointment is currently offered on a part-time basis of 3 days per week, with the potential to be extended in future.Candidates should note that The Pixel Fund does not have a permanent base and almost all activity is conducted online (including grant management). 

Hours and place of work are flexible, but as all Trustees are based in the South-East of England, that location is desirable. The Pixel Fund (Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1191052) is a small charity that makes grants to support improvement in the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.Since we were first established in 2011, we have distributed more than £1.5million to UK registered charities.We have a preference for supporting projects, but do also fund core costs.The work of the Trust, including all grant-making, is currently overseen by three experienced Trustees, together with a Voluntary Treasurer and a part-time Administrator.

About the Choir with No Name

The Choir with No Name has been running choirs involving people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation since 2008, and we currently have choirs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, Coventry, Sheffield and Brighton. We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good; it distracts you from all the nonsense in life and helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. Each choir gets together to rehearse every week and share a meal together at the end of rehearsal. Our values are family, fun, inclusion and integrity.

Job Purpose

We are looking for maternity cover for our part-time Finance and Data Administrator role. As Finance and Data Administrator, you should have a proactive mindset and a positive attitude. You should have some previous administrative experience and a meticulous attention to detail. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Choir with No Name’s finances and impact data. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently with a helpful and can-do attitude, a quick learner with a calm disposition when under pressure and able to work accurately and to deadlines.

Invoices and expenses

1. Inputting all expense invoices, staff expenses & petty cash transactions into accounting software (Xero), ensuring everything is coded to the right budget line
2. Issuing invoices for suppliers, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner and recording them in Xero.
3. Sending a monthly reminder to freelancers and choir managers to submit invoices & completed petty cash books in time for month end deadline
4.  Saving invoices into SharePoint and ensuring these records are complete and up to date every month
5. Cross checking bank statements with income and expenses, ensuring all transactions are accounted for, identifying missing invoices/receipts and chasing the relevant staff
6. Updating our contact and invoicing details with suppliers and freelancers

Donation administration

1. Recording all donations & donor info in our donor CRM database (eTapestry)
2. Producing income queries and reports when required

Impact data

1. Inputting member survey data as well as other impact data as needed
2. Producing reports on impact data as needed

Finance reporting

1. Input cash basis income and expenditure into a monthly cash flow spreadsheet and create summaries for Choir Managers
2. Consolidating income data from multiple online donation platforms and in varied formats into a single monthly report
3. Producing month end platform and database income reports for our bookkeeper
4. Support the Head of Development with month and quarter end reporting for the board of trustees.

Purpose of the Role 

We are looking for a Multimedia Producer to lead on the day-to-day production of video content, including filming and editing, as well as supporting with ad-hoc design work for the charity.

About Chance to Shine

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.

Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. All our programmes are completely free for everyone involved, from schools and community groups to young people and their families.

 Key responsibilities  

· Capture high-quality video content at Chance to Shine events, programmes, and community initiatives.

· Produce and edit compelling video content for use across digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns.

· Create broadcast-quality assets to support media outreach and press opportunities.

· Develop creative concepts, scripts, and storyboards that align with strategic objectives.

· Conduct on-camera interviews and direct pieces to camera with professionalism and sensitivity to context.

· Organise and maintain a well-structured archive of video content for ongoing and future use.

· Design and produce engaging video graphics, including lower thirds, stings, and motion elements, in line with our brand guidelines.

· Support the creation of day-to-day graphic design materials, such as infographics, social assets, event materials, and presentations.

· Contribute to the broader work of the Communications & Digital department, assisting with various tasks and campaigns as required.

 Skills, Knowledge & Personal Competencies

· Ability to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Creative thinker with a passion for developing engaging and original content ideas.

· A proactive self-starter who can take projects from concept to final edit independently.

· Good understanding of the social media landscape, including video best practices for each platform.

· Strong skills in motion graphics and graphic design, with an eye for visual storytelling.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications  

Essential: 

• 1-2 years’ experience of filming and editing at a professional level
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, or equivalent video editing software 
• Confident in operating professional camera equipment, including models such as the Sony FX30, or similar DSLR cinema-style cameras.
• Willing to travel throughout the UK, Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Ability to produce motion graphics

Funding Officer – Thematic and missions focused aligned to It starts with Community

We’re looking for four Funding Officers to support a range of initiatives across England. These are 12-month fixed term contracts.

Role Purpose 

You will be expected to be open to work in different initiatives across our England portfolio.As a funding officer you will assess applications for funding and manage grants using best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making. You will also ensure that both grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.

Job Title: Student Events Coordinator

Location: Home-based (with 1 day per month in the London office) or hybrid (with 1 day per week in the London office)

• Someone who can give a high level of stewardship to empower our student supporters to reach their fundraising potential
• Someone who enjoys collaboration and can build strong working relations with internal and external stakeholders, to increase awareness of the charity and fundraising potential of our student fundraisers
• Someone who has an interest in working in third-party events and in student fundraising
• Someone who is happy to attend University Fresher Fayres and represent Teenage Cancer Trust and our student event portfolio.
