As our new SEO Manager, you’ll lead a strategic shift in how we grow the visibility and reach of our digital content across search engines and AI-powered platforms. This is a key role in helping us connect with more people, drive engagement, and support our mission to save and improve lives.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the development and delivery of BHF’s SEO strategy to boost organic visibility, drive engagement, and support fundraising and awareness goals.
• Monitoring performance using SEO and analytics tools, producing clear and accessible reports, and adapting strategies in response to evolving search trends including the impact of generative AI.
• Collaborating with content designers, technical teams, and marketing colleagues to create high-quality, user-focused content that meets search intent and reflects BHF’s mission.
• Optimising website structure, on-page elements, and technical aspects such as page speed, mobile usability, and crawlability to improve ranking and indexing.
• Delivering SEO training and best practice guidance to internal teams, while supporting local search visibility and contributing to UX reviews and link-building efforts.

About you

You’ll bring a strong track record of improving organic performance for large websites, with experience of developing and implementing SEO strategies that respond to the evolving search landscape including mitigating traffic loss from AI-generated content.

You’re confident using a range of SEO tools (such as GA4, Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog) to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and use insights to inform decision-making. You also have experience working with cross-functional teams to align SEO with broader digital and organisational goals.

You have a solid grasp of digital PR, link-building, and local SEO strategies, and understand how these areas are shifting in response to generative AI and changing search behaviours.

In addition, you’ll bring:

• A deep understanding of SEO principles, including technical SEO and on-page optimisation, with experience implementing changes through a CMS.
• Experience conducting thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, and reporting on performance including setting and tracking KPIs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present insights and strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Knowledge of how content, UX, and technical elements such as site architecture, page speed, and mobile optimisation impact SEO, and the ability to use this insight to make informed decisions and recommendations.
• Experience training and supporting others to deliver high-quality, search-optimised content, along with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines.

Working arrangements 

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and 1- 2 days per week, on average, in either our  London office (NW1 7AW). This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About the Role

Grant-making is central to GiveOut’s mission of growing giving to support LGBTQI human rights activism globally. As Senior Grant-Making Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our grant-making programme, ensuring we effectively channel resources to LGBTQI activist organisations worldwide.

Bringing a passion for and knowledge of international LGBTQI human rights, you will have the opportunity to deepen your skills in grant-making, gain insights into LGBTQI human rights movements worldwide, and build meaningful relationships with LGBTQI activists and organisations across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sector Expertise and Insights

  • Stay informed about developments in the LGBTQI movement and global LGBTQI rights.

  • Undertake occasional international travel to strengthen relationships and deepen understanding of partner activities.

• Donor and Grant Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grant partners through regular communication and engagement.

  • Capture and share evidence and success stories from grant partners to engage and inspire GiveOut’s supporters.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to feed grant-making insights into impact reports and donor communications.

  • Represent GiveOut’s grant-making programme externally at events, including occasional evening engagements.

  • Coordinate logistics for grant partner engagements, including developing itineraries, supporting travel arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication with donors and other stakeholders.

• Grant-Making Strategy and Programme Implementation

  • Help shape the design and execution of GiveOut’s grant-making programme 

  • Ensure GiveOut’s Grant-Making Policy and guidance remain up to date with best practices in grant-making and is responsive to the needs of the global LGBTQI movement.

  • Work with the Grant-Making Advisory Panel (GMAP) to identify and assess new grant partners, and coordinate annual GMAP meetings.

• Grant Portfolio Development and Management

  • Develop an annual portfolio of grants, balancing renewals and new partnerships, and collaborate with the Executive Director to present to the Board for approval.

  • Conduct due diligence on grant partners, draft grant agreements, and manage payment processes.

  • Monitor and evaluate partnerships, coordinating narrative and financial reporting to track progress and impact.

  • Maintain and update the grant partner database to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in grant-making or a related field such as social impact and development work, research and policy advocacy or program funding and administration within NGOs, government, charities or foundations.

• Demonstrated commitment to or connection with the LGBTQI community.

• Knowledge of global developments in LGBTQI rights and advocacy.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• A proactive, motivated, and results-oriented approach, with a strong work ethic. 

• A collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organisational culture, aligned with GiveOut’s vision and values.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of grant-making theory, processes, and best practices.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Summary of the role:

The Director of Income Generation & Marketing will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious, innovative, and sustainable income generation and marketing strategy. This role is responsible for significantly growing Muslim Aid’s financial resources, enhancing its brand presence in the UK and internationally, and expanding its footprint in new and emerging economic markets, ensuring all activity is firmly aligned to Muslim Aid’s mission and values.

The Director will drive high impact fundraising initiatives across multiple channels, working closely with Country Directors, global teams, and other SLT colleagues to unlock new funding opportunities, diversity income streams and maximise donor engagement. They will cultivate strategic partnerships with corporate, institutional, and philanthropic stakeholders, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, governance, and ethical fundraising practice.

This is a result driven leadership role, accountable for delivering measurable income growth, strengthening market positioning, building and developing a high performing team, and ensuring Muslim Aid’s brand and fundraising activities are aligned with organisational priorities and global impact goals.

About the Role:

1. Lead the development and delivery of a bold, multi-channel income generation strategy planning philanthropy, digital, institutional, corporate, and brand led campaigns that drives ambitious, measurable growth and long-term sustainability.

A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen for a part-time Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive fundraising team. This is a home-based role and will suit an individual living in the North of England. You will be reporting to the Corporate & Regional Fundraising Manager and working in a very varied and exciting working environment.

The perfect candidate will enjoy forging positive and robust relationships with supporters including corporate partners, small businesses, philanthropic groups as well as supporting community fundraisers across the North of England, to raise vital income for our Association.  

You will use your creative and professional skillset to provide high-quality account management, stewardship, and growth across all managed income streams. No two days are the same and we are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach and able to multitask effectively.
