Who are Spinal Research?

We are Spinal Research, the UK's leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord. Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. It can happen to anyone at any time, changing lives instantly. We fund groundbreaking research that will cure paralysis, ensuring people living with spinal cord injuries will get life-changing treatments.

The Role:

The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end processing of all supporter and organisational data. This includes the set-up and management of systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources, and preparing information to support financial reporting. The role holder will also ensure the effective use of Salesforce CRM and other connected systems, while enabling teams across the organisation to use data to drive insight and impact.

This role will report into the Head of Operations and Strategy, providing guidance on data management, systems improvements and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Data Management & Processing:

• Manage the end-to-end flow of supporter and organisational data across all systems.
• Collate data from multiple sources and prepare/upload into Salesforce CRM.
• Ensure data is reconciled with bank statements to guarantee completeness and accuracy.
• Carry out manual processing and preparation steps required for accountants and financial reporting.
• Maintain data quality and integrity across all systems and databases.

Systems & Integration:

• Oversee the access, security, and effective use of Salesforce CRM, payment platforms and third-party systems.
• Map and align data across platforms to ensure correct integration and reporting.
• Identify, resolve and prevent system or data flow errors.
• Support the Head of Operations and Strategy in implementing new systems or improvements.

Data Analysis & Insight:

• Provide accurate data analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Build dashboards and reports in Salesforce and other tools to support fundraising, research and operational teams.
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities to increase organisational effectiveness.
• Act as the central point of expertise for data queries across the charity.

Team Support & Development:

• Support colleagues across teams to understand, use and manage their data effectively.
• Provide training and guidance on dashboards, reports, and data best practices.
• Share knowledge and recommend improvements in processes, data capture and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR in all areas of work (working alongside the Data Protection Officer).

Skill Set Requirements:

• Proven experience in data management, CRM administration or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM (or similar CRM systems), data processing and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing complex datasets.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in financial data reconciliation and reporting preparation is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), SharePoint and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of data protection and GDPR best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple systems, integrations and workflows simultaneously.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Summary

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources within Harris Garrard Academy. This pivotal role encompasses recruitment, payroll administration, staff welfare, compliance, and governance support.

You will work closely with the Principal and senior leadership team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services aligned with Federation policies and employment legislation.

The role is a 12 month fixed-term contract.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the recruitment and appointments process
• Ensuring the accuracy of the Academy’s single central record
• Payroll and all associated business
• Auditing staff sickness records and preparing termly reports
• Organising and maintaining confidential staff files
• Additional HR tasks as directed, including include referrals to occupational health, organising interviews with the Principal and liaising with staff representatives
• Working closely with the Business Manager/Principal’s PA to produce salary assessments
• Directing staff to the correct source of information regarding pensions, salaries, maternity, grievance, complaints etc.

Additional Information

The role may involve occasional travel within the UK to attend meetings, events and presentations, including some overnight stays. We are seeking a dynamic Policy Officer to join our policy team, to support our lobbying and advocacy work, raise the profile of specialist FE with parliamentarians and represent the views of members. The work is varied, including monitoring parliamentary activity, undertaking research, meeting with members, helping to prepare consultation responses and analysing government proposals and published policies. The postholder will also take a lead in communicating Natspec’s policy positions to members and other stakeholders.

The main duties of the role include:

• Undertaking research to support Natspec’s policy work

What you'll do:
Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. The Association for Post-Natal Illness (APNI) is a national charity that provides information, support, and advice to women experiencing post-natal depression. We also support partners, friends, and family members.

We are seeking a Trainee Administrative Assistant to join our small and supportive team in Fulham.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the charity sector. In this role, you will:

• Provide frontline support by answering our helpline, emails, and letters (with full training and supervision).
• Maintain contact with volunteers, supporters, and beneficiaries.
• Learn to use our internal database and support profile-raising activities.
• Help with communication to health professionals (midwives, health visitors, etc.).
• Occasionally liaise with journalists to provide general information.

Training & Support

We’ll provide full training during the first six months with ongoing support from experienced colleagues.

 We are looking for an organised, proactive and creative Events and engagement manager to join our team on a 12 month part time 0.8 FTE contract.

You will lead our core events programme. You will manage in-person and online events, liaise with speakers and attendees, prepare briefings and promotional materials, ensuring all events are delivered efficiently, on budget and in line with our environmental standards.

You will also manage internal staff events, monitor and evaluate event outcomes and manage our contacts database, maintaining accuracy and GDPR compliance. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational, logistical and administrative skills, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Position in the Organisation

The post holder reports to the head of communications and works in consultation with senior management and the policy and politics team on event planning. The position sits within the communications team, comprised of the head of communications, press officer, two communications officers and the events assistant. They rely on additional support from the events assistant and our team of trainees in preparing events, as well as the full staff team, who represent us at events.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Events management:

- Manage and curate Green Alliance core events programme, assist staff as required on their specialist events and be the first point of contact for all event enquiries.

- Target relevant audiences and manage invitee and attendee lists, liaise with speakers and produce briefings and promotional material as necessary.

- Liaise with venues, arranging catering and other event services within budget.

- Oversee all the technical and logistical tasks relating to online events, including generating links and managing reminders, hosting Zoom webinars, welcoming and briefing participants, troubleshooting throughout events, and editing and uploading recordings to YouTube.

- Monitor and evaluate event outcomes in line with organisational and project objectives; gather information and feedback the analysis to staff and board, including invitation uptake and audience profiling.

- Ensure events meet Green Alliance’s environmental criteria and are organised according to best value principles.

- Manage events on the day, including directing staff roles in advance of and during the event, and oversee all technical aspects of online webinars, roundtable discussions and seminars.

- Organise internal staff events with the events assistant, including the Christmas party, strategy away days and other internal learning events, such as our lunchtime seminar series.

Database management:

- Manage the contacts database, ensuring it is up to date and accurate.

- Support staff on how to use the database and maintain protocols to ensure ongoing data integrity.

- Keep abreast of GDPR in relation to events and database management.

Other:

- Line manage the events assistant.

- Hold a company credit card.

- Provide any other support which may reasonably be requested to be undertaken within the scope of this post.

- Participate in organisation planning and strategy discussions.

- Due to the nature of the role the post holder will be required to work some early mornings and evenings for time off in lieu.
