In addition to traditional library duties—such as managing stock inventory and delivering storytime sessions for under-5s—the Community Library Coordinator plays a key role in positioning the library as a vibrant hub within the local area. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Coordinator will oversee and help develop engaging library events, while also supporting the dedicated volunteers who contribute to the successful delivery of our community-focused services.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with enthusiasm for working in the library sector. You should be confident in promoting the library service and delivering excellent customer service to a diverse range of users. While previous library experience is desirable, it is not essential.

DARE is the lead organisation in Darwen working with asylum seekers and refugees. We provide assistance across a wide range of issues, including helping asylum seekers through the complexities of the asylum system. We address issues of destitution and assist asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees to access key services including housing, welfare benefits, health, education and employment. Our team works with relevant agencies including the Home Office, refugee organisations, local authorities, legal service providers, housing agencies, health providers, Job Centre Plus and other mainstream service providers. DARE in partnership with ARC in Blackburn, also runs an English Club (volunteer run community English classes) two mornings a week and a weekly social drop-in.

As a member of the Direct & Digital Marketing Squad, you would be responsible for the delivery of fundraising appeals and supporter engagement activity,to show our supporters the impact of their support and give them the opportunity to become even more engaged in Tearfund's mission.

We are particularly looking for a fundraiser with a passion for direct marketing, who has experience in delivering multi-channel individual giving and supporter engagement campaigns. We are especially keen to hear from those who are experienced in both print and digital direct marketing.

Do you have the following experience?

• Planning and delivering direct marketing fundraising or individual giving campaigns, such as direct mail appeals.
• Planning and delivering multi-channel supporter engagement campaigns to a range of audiences
• Working across print, direct mail and digital channels to deliver campaigns
• Project managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Monitoring and evaluating campaigns, with a test and learn mentality
• Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including creative agencies

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Global Fund Development Team with the day-to-day smooth running of activity and operations. The role holder will offer administrative support in relation to operations, communications, events, meetings, and travel. It will also offer ad-hoc project and campaign support, and administrative support to the Director of Fund Development in their leadership of the Global FD Operations team.

The Key Responsibilities

FD Team Support
1. Managing the team inbox and co-ordinating timely response to incoming queries
2. Updating the donor database and supporting the FD Ops team with Database administration and data cleansing
3. Providing support for planning and delivery of in-person and online global events
4. Scheduling & minuting meetings, including managing room bookings
5. Managing team outlook calendars and maintaining SharePoint site
6. Engaging suppliers and submitting invoices
7. Coordinating and executing team Finance Administration
8. Supporting onboarding and induction process for new team members
9. Organising team meetings and social events
10. General office coordination (e.g. mail, stationary, supplies, marketing collateral etc)
11. Supporting other ad hoc tasks and activities as required

Administrative Assistance to Director of Fund Development
1. Managing diary and appointments
2. Booking travel and accommodation for FD Director and other global team members
3. Manage the monthly credit card expense claims
4. Drafting and sending letters and emails on behalf of the Director
5. Liaising with other departments and supporting cross-team problem solving
6. Preparing and formatting PowerPoint presentations

• Experience of data processing & data management in a CRM (or similar system)
