The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic faith-based charity to find their Philanthropy Lead (Major Donor Manager). The charity offers a flexible working environment, with remote working available.
The Philanthropy Lead, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, is responsible for inspiring new prospective, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors into greater involvement with the charity. You will be an experienced and confident relationship builder, communicator and fundraiser, cultivating relationships with high-value donors and partners to achieve ambitious targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Implementation & Fundraising
- Implementation of a strategic plan to significantly increase major donor income, with a target of 17.5% of overall revenue within 3 years.
- Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for major donor income, aligned with CAP's overall strategic priorities.
- Execution of market research and competitor analysis to identify new funding opportunities and best practice in Philanthropic fundraising.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, in order to identify points of engagement and draft appropriate funding bids.
- Represent the charity at high-level events and conferences to build relationships with potential donors and partners.
Person Specification:
- Proven track record of success in securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in securing philanthropic support and building partnerships
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This is an innovative charity which aims to help Muslims calculate and give Zakat to those in need across the UK. An exciting opportunity exists for a Governance Officer to join the team. As Governance Officer, you will be tracking, collating and recording essential performance information; providing administrative support for the Board meetings, sub-committees, working groups, senior leadership meetings and team meetings maintaining governance procedures and ensuring their adherence. This is a full-time, fixed term contract (4 months) remote working within the UK.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience of providing support to senior management within a risk and/or governance environment. Candidates will have a qualification or demonstrative understanding of risk and governance. You will be experienced in working in partnership and building credibility with people at all levels. An understanding of Zakat within the context of the five pillars of Islam as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential for this role. Knowledge of charity legislative, regulatory and governance landscape would be a bonus however, it is not essential for the role.

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team raising vital funds to provide this invaluable lifelong support for all stroke survivors, just like Leighton.
The Role
This is an exciting new role in a newly created team, formed to acquire strategic corporate partnerships and community connections. Main responsibilities will include:
- Developing a robust pipeline of future support focussing on high value relationships.
- Delivering engagement strategies and products to enhance the conversion rate of your pipeline.
- Developing and delivering a relationship stewardship plan for all corporate partners.
- Delivering an individual income target.
- Tracking and monitoring income and pipeline values to support with forecasting and budgeting.
The Person
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You should be excited by the prospect of building a new pipeline and portfolio of corporate partners and be confident stewarding relationships in this space.
You must be able to work flexibly to maximise opportunities across Scotland, and have the initiative and ability to work with autonomy. Previous experience in fundraising is desirable; however, we are also keen to speak with people who also have the knowledge and experience in building relationships and are keen to transfer this skillset into the rewarding world of fundraising!

Core working week is Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm, 37.5 hours per week, excluding Bank Holidays with requirement to work sometimes outside of core hours and at weekends, nights and bank holidays • Provide core maintenance service for the Association, including planned projects, reactive maintenance, cyclical and preventative repairs, administration and any ad-hoc tasks as arising • Responsible for the health & safety of any task being carried out and to make sure that the plant, equipment, or machinery is compliant with all legislation • Tasks to cover a wide range of technical and maintenance skills, including painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds work and general building work and other work as appropriate, depending upon skills and qualifications required to achieve the task • To provide out of hours support on an on-call rota basis • Maintaining plant, spares and equipment across a range of Association sites. This includes completing monthly stock audits to ensure adequate levels or parts/materials/equipment are maintained and readily available for repairs. Ensure asset lists are updated with live information • Carry out site inspections & audits to ensure Health & Safety/Compliance & quality/standards are met • Carry out internal works to void properties. Inclusive but not limited to painting, minor repairs, plumbing and void safety checks. • To liaise with, staff, and residents as required, to carry out any maintenance tasks ensuring high levels of customer service • To liaise with and ensure performance of external contractors • Carry out allocation & scheduling of work tasks to staff and external contractors. Produce detailed specifications through to quotation. • Review when required - reports, quotations & recommendations from external consultants/contractors, and advise/ liaise with Property Manager on best value • Ensure ways of working, processes, policies and procedures are understood and followed • Review & monitor external reports such as lifts, Legionella, Asbestos and plant room inspections and liaise with Property manager on recommendations and appropriate actions • To provide cover and advice for Facilities Assistants/maintenance staff when and if required • On a rota basis you may be required to be the Property contact for a given period as agreed by line manager • Any administration duties as required by your Line Manager • Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.
