Job description

Prospectus is proud to be working with our client, a North London-based charity aiming to reduce reoffending through the provision of housing and social services for people transitioning from the criminal justice system. They are now currently recruiting for 2 Resettlement Officers to join their dedicated team.

As a Resettlement Officer, you will provide engaging, person-centred support for a range of services users, planning interventions flexibly to meet individual needs, and adapting support plans accordingly. You will support service users to maintain their accommodation, budget, and develop personal responsibility through coaching, action planning and goal setting. You will manage your own caseload and will act as a point of contact for other agencies working with service users, including the Police, Probation, Local Authorities and other voluntary organisations.

To apply for this role, you must have demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable people with complex needs (knowledge of the needs of offenders and the barriers they face is desirable but not essential). You will have experience of managing your own caseload and will understand a range of approaches appropriate to working with challenging behaviour.  You will be confident working in partnership with other agencies and overall will be passionate about delivering high quality, person-centred support services.

If you are interested in finding out more information about this new opportunity, please register your interest and submit your CV by clicking 'apply now' below. Suitable candidates will then be contacted.

As a specialist Recruitment Practice, we are committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you in your application. We particularly welcome candidates with lived-experience themselves – please feel free to reach out directly to Victoria Savva at Prospectus for an initial informal discussion.

Please note, this is a full-time role Monday-Friday and will be based on-site in Tottenham with regular travel across accommodation-based services (Tottenham/Enfield/Barking and Dagenham) - travel for this will be expensed.
