Kingston Carers' Network (KCN) is an independent charity providing information, advice, advocacy and support to unpaid carers of all ages who are caring for someone with an illness, disability or substance misuse problem.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for communications and social change. We are currently supporting over 4000 carers, including over 800 young carers, who are caring for a relative or friend with a disability, illness, mental health problem or substance addiction. The successful candidate will have the ability to build and cultivate relationships with local organisations, as they will be managing our various social media channels. Recent experience of working in a communications role within the charity or public sector is essential.

Your purpose

To manage and optimise Voice 21’s marketing activity across campaigns, data, and digital channels, ensuring a seamless experience from first engagement through to conversion. The Marketing Lead will be the technical lead on our HubSpot CRM, drive inbound activity, strengthen the buyer’s journey, and ensure our brand and messaging support long-term impact.

Your responsibilities

• Manage and optimise marketing campaigns, data, and workflows in HubSpot

• Build and maintain landing pages and web content aligned with campaign goals

• Partner with Sales to develop and execute data-informed marketing plans targeting schools across England

• Design and refine the buyer’s journey to maximise engagement and conversion from Lead to Opportunity

• Deliver marketing automation workflows and lead nurturing activity to improve pipeline conversion

• Produce and oversee high-quality, evidence-led digital content (emails, blogs, webinars, e-books)

• Collaborate with Communications, Events, and Engagement teams to strengthen reach and alignment

• Track and analyse funnel performance using HubSpot analytics and integrated data sources

• Maintain and improve HubSpot data integrity, segmentation, and reporting accuracy

• Lead UX-driven website design and optimisation using Figma and HubSpot CMS

• Delivered a series of targeted marketing campaigns supporting our growth objectives

From 6 months onwards, we expect you to be:

• Leading continuous improvement of our marketing systems and automations

Special Events Manager

The role

This maternity cover role is to deliver a programme of cultivation and stewardship events to engage new and existing major donors (individuals, trusts and corporates) and to contribute to the delivery of fundraising budgets by delivering events that enable a sector leading supporter experience.

The postholder line manages the special events coordinator and plays a key role in team culture, operational refinement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

· Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, and special events to support these activities.

· Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.

About the role

In this post you will be responsible for the implementation, management, and delivery of all electrical, fire detection, door entry, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installation utilising the Council’s supply chain partners. This includes repair, maintenance, and major projects of existing and new installations to Council housing stock.

About you

You will take full responsibility for managing works and projects from the start to final delivery working on your own initiative and with minimal supervision. This will include budget management, preparing specifications, drawings, the procurement of contracts, supervision of electrical related programmes of works to the Council’s housing stock.

Ideally you should have a degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent work experience in a similar Mechanical and Electrical role with a HNC/HND in Building Surveying/Construction, or a specific qualification within the Electrical field). Detailed working knowledge on a wide range of areas including building defects and their remedies is essential for this post.

Working knowledge of housing related law and best practice related to repairs, maintenance and improvements e.g. CDM and Building Regulations are essential for this post.

• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally as a standalone or lead HR professional in a small to medium sized setting
• Confidence to manage the full range of employee lifecycle activity independently
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Payroll administration experience
• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
• Tech savvy and skilled in HR systems and data management, ideally with experience of implementing HR systems and working with external HR partners

We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications and Media Officer to join a fantastic research institution for a 9 month contract. This is a varied role that combines media engagement, content creation, and strategic communications. The Senior Communications and Media officer will help raise the profile of our organisation, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and ensure our work is communicated clearly, consistently, and with impact.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement media and communications strategies to support organisational objectives.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with journalists, editors, and other media contacts.
• Secure proactive and reactive media coverage that informs, influences, and engages key audiences.
• Draft high-quality written materials, including press releases, blogs, articles, speeches, and digital content.
• Provide advice and support to spokespeople, ensuring effective media engagement and interview preparation.
• Oversee digital channels, including website updates and social media content, ensuring relevance and accessibility.

The Society

The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is the learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. It is also a charity and a membership organisation. The Society was founded in 1830 and has been one of the most active of the learned societies ever since. The Position

We are seeking a full time Assistant Accountant to support timely processing of financial transactions, accurate accounting, consistency of financial records, supporting the year-end close.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will become an integral part of our dedicated team, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain and improve accounts receivable processes – review and issue of sales invoices, and debt recovery, and follow-up invoicing queries.
• Recording receipts – subscriptions, legacies, grants, gift aid and investment income.
• Manage and reconcile payments, including direct debits, credit card expenses, and PDQ receipts.
• Perform accurate cash and bank reconciliations and updates of bank and deposit balances.
• Reconciliation of receipts in the financial system and the CRM system.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including prepayments, accruals, and other key ledger accounts.
• Assist with VAT returns, ensuring compliance with accurate coding and reporting.
• Support the Finance Manager with the month-end process, including posting month-end journals and assisting with the preparation of month-end reports.
• Assist with year-end processes, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation for auditors.
• Oversee and manage multiple shared finance mailboxes.
• Support internal stakeholders with finance queries.
• Undertake ad hoc general accounting tasks as required.

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £34,000-£36,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

As Lead, Management Accountant, you will:

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts

- Compile Balance sheet reconciliations

- Prepare quarterly Project Income and Expenditure reports for Project Managers

- Prepare interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders

- Prepare quarterly VAT returns

- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process

The successful applicant will:

- Have demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Be Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or Part qualified on final stage

- Have a strong understanding of charity accounting principles, including SORP

- Have experience of managing financial ledgers, systems and processes

- Have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage large amounts of data

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
