About the role

Solent Mind is the provider for Wellbeing services across the New Forest from bases in Hythe (Marcella House), New Milton (The Hollies) and in various community settings. 

Alongside the Community Wellbeing and ‘Keep Well’ service we have a team of Wellbeing Advisors and peer support staff who are supporting the delivery of mental health and wellbeing services within the Primary Care Networks across the New Forest area.

About the role:

This role is based out of our Chandlers Ford office on a hybrid basis with the expectation of 60% of your working week from the office. As a Community Engagement & Training Officer, you will play a vital role in strengthening Victim Support's presence and impact within the community. Your responsibilities will include:

• Event Coordination and Representation: Organising and representing Victim Support at community events such as Pride, 999 Days, and local fairs. You will engage directly with victims and witnesses of crime, offering immediate emotional and practical support.
• Delivering Presentations: Designing and delivering impactful presentations to criminal justice partners, including police and probation services, to promote collaboration and raise awareness of Victim Support's work.

As Business Development Manager for our Community Services will focus and lead on:

· Analysing and unlocking opportunities for new business

RNID Near You is our national community-based service run by trained volunteers which offers:

It’s an exciting time to join the Events Fundraising Team. We have a new five-year strategy and are a team with big ambitions! As the Event Manager [Challenge and Third-Party Events], you will play a huge part in making these ambitions a reality and paving the way for our future.

You will be responsible for planning, developing, marketing, and implementing the challenge and third-party events portfolio, ensuring outstanding stewardship of participants, providing on the day leadership and full post-event review against objectives. Success will be measured primarily by achieving income targets within the planned expenditure, but also number of attendees, publicity, retention of supporters, receipt of positive feedback and return on investment with a community-first led approach. The role:

This key role will add substantial grant-making and strategic capacity to the AFF team, which currently consists of 7 people  reporting to the Director of A Fairer Future. The role will take on existing relationships in the form of a portfolio of organisations at various points in their funding journey. This person will pick up these relationships and ensure continuity as well as assessing new applications.  There will also be work contributing to strategic initiatives, helping to achieve impact in the thematic areas covered by the AFF strategy and roadmaps. In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

About You:

To be successful as the Community Keyworker you will need to be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are a confident professional relationship builder with a good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. You will have strong administration skills and an understanding of compliant behaviours. You will also have good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the area.

As Senior Grants Manager, Environment and Communities, you will identify, assess, and manage grants that contribute to these evolving areas of interest. 

A particular focus of the role will be developing strategic grants and partnerships that contribute to Environmental Sustainability.  This is a developing area of interest, supporting activity that restores the natural environment and enabling practices such as nature friendly farming and community growing.  Current grantees include the Sustainable Food Trust, the Wildlife Trust, and local farmer clusters.  

The Foundation has recently launched a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting Buckinghamshire grantees to deliver progress in environmental sustainability.  The role will lead on the delivery of this programme.

As well as developing relationships with external stakeholders you will also closely collaborate with colleagues, making connections between grants and activities at Waddesdon Manor.  In particular, working closely with the Rothschild Foundation’s Sustainability and Conservation Department and the Education & Learning Department.

The role will also support the development and assessment of grants to the Rothschild Foundation’s Community Fund which is open to not for profit organisations in Buckinghamshire who support local communities, with a particular focus on disadvantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic development of our Environment programme, including current explorations in community growing, nature friendly farming and nature restoration.
• Leading on the delivery of a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting grantees and funded activities.  This will include working closely with the Evaluation and Impact Manager and Operations Manager to review the programme and make recommendations for future delivery to Grants Committee
• Maintaining an overview of the portfolio of ‘Environment’ grants, sharing learning and identifying connections across grantees
• Keeping up to date on sector development, identify funding gaps, and emerging opportunities.
• Identifying and supporting potential applicants, conducting visits, guiding proposal development, and ensuring due diligence standards are met
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with grantees, conducting six-monthly catch up conversations, visiting funded activity and acting as a ‘critical friend’
• Supporting the delivery of our Communities funding, including assessment of applications to the Community Fund and occasional Trustee related community grants
• Producing regular updates for Trustees, including project updates and data insights, and contribute to creative ways of sharing the impact of our funding

The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) is exclusive partnering with Robertson Bell in their search for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their evolving team on a permanent basis, in this newly created role.

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key senior member of the finance team and will help shape the strategic management and direction of the team. They will support the Director of Finance and Operations, Senior Leadership Team, Trustees and budget holders to understand and interpret IIED’s finances and play a key role in the long term strategic financial planning process.

The organisation:

IIED is a global research organisation dedicated to sustainable development, connecting local needs with global challenges. They operate on six continents, advocating for the world's most vulnerable communities to influence decisions that impact them. Based in London and Edinburgh, with 200 staff and associates worldwide, IIED has led sustainable development policy for over 50 years.

The key duties of the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis are as follows:

• Lead on strategic financial reporting to provide a clear picture of the organization’s short- and long-term financial position
• Manage the design and build of financial models to support strategic planning, project impact assessment, and forecasting
• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic forecasts and budget plans
• Develop and maintain financial models to project future financial performance
• Lead the finance business partnering function, providing support and guidance to budget holders and key stakeholders

• Substantial relevant finance management experience in the not-for-profit sector
• Experience in mapping and analysing processes and identifying and implementing process improvement
• Excellent communication skills and be able to influence at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to manage, support and develop diverse teams to work effectively together and with the rest of the organisation
• Ideally, experience of accounting within a grant receiving organisation

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with only occasional travel required, just a few times per month, to either the London or Edinburgh office for key meetings.
