What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenges. Alongside our own flagship events, we recruit teams for some of the UK’s best-loved sporting events, including the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The team also organise our flagship walking event, March for Men, and our Tour de France themed cycling event, the Grand Depart Classic.

As Senior Sporting Events Executive, you’ll take the operational lead in delivering income across our third-party events programme, alongside project managing our team of London Marathon runners. You’ll manage at least one Events and Community Coordinator, supporting their development and ensuring the team delivers outstanding supporter care at every stage. You’ll also play a key role in spotting and developing new opportunities within the charity events market.

This is a hands-on role covering every aspect of event delivery; from leading project meetings, setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to crafting supporter communications, managing logistics and providing on-the-day event support. You’ll also oversee post-event processes such as remittance and thanking supporters, ensuring we maximise income and provide a first-class experience for every participant. Working closely with teams across the charity, you’ll help deliver a packed calendar of events and take the lead in coordinating our brilliant volunteers on event days.

You’ll bring experience of working within a sporting events team, with a track record of supporting the delivery of large-scale events; from marketing and communications right through to event-day execution. A capable and supportive leader, you’ll know how to motivate both your team and our supporters, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every stage of the journey.

You’ll have experience using databases to maintain accurate records, track progress and evaluate results, and you’ll approach every task with professionalism and discretion, ensuring sensitive information is always handled with care. East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative and PA support to the CEO, ensuring the smooth running of their schedule, correspondence, and meetings. You’ll also work closely with the Director of Housing and Head of Services to coordinate professional learning events and manage the day-to-day running of the charity’s London office and Community Hub. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), offered on a one-year fixed-term contract and based in London. The salary is £30,000 per annum.

The team

You’ll join our International Energy Access team, primarily working on the multimillion-pound Efficiency for Access Coalition including the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme that aims to double the efficiency and halve the cost of off- and weak-grid appliances in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This programme is funded by UK aid, from the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform, and IKEA Foundation, and delivered by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with CLASP.

As part of the International Energy Access team, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives that have real-world impact on improving lives and livelihoods, while helping to address the climate emergency. The role in Approved Premises (AP) involves supporting high-risk individuals transitioning from prison back into the community. Staff work closely with residents, providing guidance, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them build independence while maintaining a structured environment. Responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting rehabilitation plans in collaboration with probation and external agencies, and ensuring residents follow rules such as curfews and drug/alcohol testing. Staff are also expected to assist in running and documenting activities, completing daily tasks, and keeping the premises safe, clean, and secure through regular checks and communication. A key aspect of the role is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own lives, without doing things for them, while providing support and supervision as needed. Staff must adhere to Hestia's policies and the Ministry of Justice's guidelines.

About the Role

The role of the Media Officer is to support Reprieve’s communications through traditional and social media, in support of the organisation’s strategic and fundraising objectives. You will be responsible for building relationships with journalists, providing media advice to Reprieve staff, and working with colleagues to ensure external messaging is consistent in quotes, briefings, social media content, and on Reprieve’s website. You will help to find and develop stories, collaborating with journalists and external partners on media that has an impact: revealing human rights abuses, shaping policy and raising the profile of our clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, and a proven ability to produce exceptional work under pressure. They will have a deep understanding of all forms of media and how to use these platforms for maximum impact, and a track record of securing media coverage on challenging issues.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role on a one-year fixed term contract, subject to extension depending on funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice (SLRA is regulated to provide advice at IAA Level 3) as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. SLRA also campaigns for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.

We are looking for a Senior Immigration Advisor or Solicitor who will be responsible for the delivery of immigration advice and casework to service users in a wide range of circumstances, although most will be rough sleepers.
