Job description

We are delighted to be supporting a UK higher education institution in their search for a temporary Executive Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role offering a fantastic opportunity to provide high-level executive support while contributing to key projects, events and strategic initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing executive administrative support to the Director of Education and Student Experience and senior leadership team.
  • Managing complex diaries, prioritising commitments and acting as a first point of contact for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting projects, drafting reports and briefing papers, and monitoring progress against deadlines.
  • Organising meetings, events and away days, ensuring smooth delivery of logistics and communications.
  • Assisting with financial and HR administration, including budgets, procurement and staff induction.
  • Maintaining accurate records, handling confidential information, and supporting process improvements.

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • Proven experience as an Executive or Personal Assistant supporting senior leaders.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
  • High-level IT proficiency including MS Office.
  • The ability to act with discretion, initiative and professionalism at all times.
  • Experience within higher education or a similar environment is desirable.
