The Role

We’re looking for a talented and hands-on Communications Manager to help amplify our impact at this exciting stage of growth.

Working closely with the Operations Director, you will manage and support our Social Media & Communications Officer while driving engaging communications across all channels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing Our Time’s communications and campaign activity.

• Managing, mentoring and supporting the Social Media & Communications Officer.

• Creating high-quality digital content for our website, newsletters and social platforms.

• Coordinating partner communications and supporting campaign mobilisation.

• Overseeing storytelling and narrative development to strengthen advocacy and impact.

• Monitoring and evaluating communications performance.

About You

You’ll bring established experience in communications, campaigns or advocacy (charity/NGO sector preferred) with strong digital content skills and social media management expertise. You’ll be confident managing colleagues or freelancers, an excellent writer and organiser, and able to work independently with initiative and creativity. Above all, you share our commitment to supporting children and families affected by parental mental illness.

• Freelance contract, £180 per day

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Manager to lead the development and delivery of BNG projects across the Woodland Trust estate, including identifying and managing on-site opportunities and habitat banks.

The Role:

• Build and manage relationships with local authorities, partners, and internal teams to unlock BNG opportunities aligned with our Create and Restore goals.
• Coordinate BNG activities and governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, robust delivery frameworks, and effective reporting across the organisation.
• Provide technical, ecological, and project management support to internal teams, including site assessments, due diligence, and monitoring.

The Candidate:

Practical priorities

• Help new weekly payables cycle, working closely with Bookkeeper and Director with financial oversight

What's the role about?

The Role;

• Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people. This will include supporting less experienced staff via positive and effective teamwork to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust. This work will aim to respect and promote the needs of each young person arising from their racial, cultural and religious background.
• Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans. This involves working in partnerships with other agencies and taking into account the wishes and feelings of the young people, their parents and other persons with parental responsibility, in line with legislation pertaining to the young people.
• Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
• Undertake primary responsibility for key working at least one young person of a more complex nature.
• Undertake the supervision of less experienced residential staff and/or ancillary staff in accordance with Together Trust Policies & Procedures as directed by the Registered Manager.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of the shift rotas.

About you;

• Good standard of written and oral English
• QCF(NVQ level 3) in health and social care (CCYP) or equivalent or willingness to achieve award within timescales set by trust
• Working in a residential setting, undertaking the full range of duties in a well planned way that respects and values the young people as individuals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write reports
• Working with young people and an understanding of the issues affecting them.

Experience in the health charity sector, public/patient engagement work, and working on the National Institute of Health Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) consultation processes would be beneficial but not essential.

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will represent the charity externally including national meetings with senior healthcare decision makers.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to health technology appraisals (HTA), regulatory pathways (MHRA), clinical development programmes (academic and industry clinical trials) and commissioning routes to broaden access to new myeloma drug therapies and diagnostic technologies.

The Role

The Early Learning and Childcare Advisor supports the organisations contribution to policy development and guidance on the delivery of early learning and childcare. • Track and report on sales and trends to inform the development of products and services
• Support the National Operations Manager (Scotland) in the completion of sector consultations
• Gather intelligence and research from nurseries and public and third sector partners/stakeholders to inform on national policy and representation work and Scottish Government national policy as related to private nurseries
• Ensure effective dissemination of information to members, colleagues, other agencies
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with partners and other agencies at regional and national level to enhance and promote activities and ensure maximum benefit for long-term sustainability and our members
• Promote the benefits of membership and access to its products, services and support

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree level qualification or equivalent experience in childcare and also:

• First hand experience of working in an Early Learning and Childcare role
• Experience of managing a demand-led workload
