We’re looking for an Assistant Legacy Officer to join our sector-leading Legacy Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to help steward one of the most meaningful forms of giving - ensuring every legacy is honoured with care, precision, and respect.

Working arrangements

The role of Retail Co-ordinator is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of The Children’s Trust retail head office function. The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating and running the administration and compliance needs required for a disperse network of charity shops, including being the gatekeeper for the Chariot EPOS system, Retail Gift Aid and New bought in goods, supporting the supply and distribution of stock; shop supplies, and associated stakeholder relationships.

Role Requirements

• Manage the Retail EPOS till and Head-office systems to maximise functionality to drive sales and promotions, create reports to support analysis of shops performance. 
• Support the Retail Sales Manager to manage generation and distribution of stock, including preparing documentation for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops, customer and donor requirements.
• Support sales promotions by printing and issuing guidelines and promotional materials i.e. fundraising events and seasonal changes across the chain of shops. 
• Maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Retail Gift Aid donors, corporate supporters and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
• Manage the shared retail email inboxes acting on requests, leading on responses or signposting/escalating as required to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.
• Support communications to shops including posting updates onto Retail Teams-Sharepoint. 
• Support stock holding and distribution of shop supplies including ordering products using Access Purchase orders. 
• Support the Retail Management Team to build a positive team culture across the retail team and wider cross directorate collaboration to deliver the voluntary income strategy.
• Support Retail management to maintain full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements. 
• Manage the Retail Gift Aid scheme and processes, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid database and associated sales while meeting HMRC rules.
• Develop and support delivery of internal and external audit processes, including New Goods stocktakes, working with Retail Management to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.

About The Role

As a Grants and Learning Officer, you’ll be helping us to deliver our ambitious, nationwide grants programme. We currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-30 year old creatives, and have a busy grants cycle to manage, alongside ever-increasing numbers of applications. 

This year, we’re building and migrating to a new grants database and you’ll play an integral role on the project team. In addition, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of grants, and help with all aspects of the funding cycle. Governance Manager (12-months maternity cover)

About the role

This is an exciting time to join Emmaus UK and provide maternity cover for our Governance Manager.

This standalone role is responsible for managing the operations of the board and committees of Emmaus UK, as well as for providing support to local boards at Emmaus communities across Great Britain as they look to develop their governance arrangements.

The postholder will manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, induction and compliance, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are minuted effectively. They will also work as company secretary, managing the smooth-running of the AGM, and ensuring returns are made to Companies House and the Charity Commission within appropriate timeframes.

The Governance Manager is responsible for monitoring the development of policies, tracking completion and working with managers to continuously improve policies in line with changing regulation.

The role will also involve extensive work with members of the Emmaus movement, through the performance of reviews of local governance of members, reporting back to local boards on areas to celebrate and actions to develop. They will also be responsible for developing Emmaus UK’s best practice toolkit for trustees to refer to in developing their local governance arrangements, and for liaising with the wider Emmaus movement through facilitation of the membership processes with Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International.

This is one of the most important roles within Shine Cancer Support. You’ll be overseeing and supporting Shine’s volunteers around the country, ensuring that they have what they need to reach as many young adults with cancer as possible. You’ll also work closely with Shine’s Programme Delivery Manager to deliver training and support programmes directly to young adults with cancer and healthcare professionals.

Location:  Hybrid, with two days per week at Shine’s offices in Blackheath, South East London or in Poole, Dorset.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer Support

• Support Shine’s volunteer Network Leaders across England, Scotland and Wales to develop their Shine Networks, ensuring that they provide the best possible support to young adults with cancer. This will include an annual support plan, developing and testing new ways of expanding Shine’s reach, and regular catch-up calls. 

• Work with Shine staff and facilitators to recruit, train and support new volunteers from across the UK.

• Deliver an annual plan for training and support, touching on issues such as outreach and fundraising.

• Maintain and develop Shine’s online information pages for Shine volunteers.

• Organise and facilitate online meet-ups for Shine beneficiaries.

Programme Delivery

• Assist the Programme Delivery Manager and facilitators to deliver Shine’s core programmes (Break Out programme, Shine Circles) to Shine beneficiaries, as well as training to healthcare professionals.

• Create new connections with healthcare professionals across the UK. This will include linking to relevant Cancer Alliances and Integrated Care Boards.

• Oversee the administration and management of relevant monitoring and evaluation processes.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead our fundraising strategy and team to secure significant, multi-year income from corporates, trusts and foundations, and major donors. We’re looking for a Policy Officer who will make a difference to health and social care policy for people with arthritis.  

Within the Chief Executive’s Office, the UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence Department are focused on creating lasting change. We identify creative policy solutions in response to the challenges people with arthritis face. We influence decision-makers through stakeholder engagement, public affairs activity and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis. We have expertise across health and care services, public health, and employment policy. We also work in collaboration to influence medical research and data policy and play an active role in several cross-sector groups.  

About the role
The purpose of this role is to drive policy development across our policy priority areas. The Policy Officer will lead on specific policy projects, commissioning research, developing policy positions, and producing reports and consultation responses.  

This role will cover a broad range of issues across one of our strategic goals – prevention and diagnosis; access to treatment; and living well with arthritis. Our approach considers the needs of people of all ages who have arthritis.               

The Policy Officer will also contribute to the wider work of the team, working closely with colleagues in the Nations Teams, the Research Directorate and the wider charity, including by representing us on cross-sector policy groups, drafting briefings, and participating in events and conferences.

To lead and deliver Richmond CVS’s support services for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough. This includes providing high-quality advice, training, and development support, alongside managing key projects and coordinating external consultants.
