About the role:

The Motability Foundation is seeking a proactive Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement professional to join the Communications team and help drive forward our public affairs and wider engagement activity.

Reflecting the current dynamic political environment, we are looking for a driven Executive to play a critical role in promoting and enhancing awareness of the Motability Foundation among key political stakeholders, as well as wider audiences across the disability sector, transport operators, and other relevant stakeholder groups. 

 
What you will be doing:

• Supporting the implementation of public affairs activities aligned with the Motability Foundation’s vision and overall strategy. 

• Amplifying the Motability Foundation’s voice in Parliament, across the devolved nations, by supporting political engagement work under the guidance of the Public Affairs Manager 

• Monitoring the political, legislative and regulatory landscapes in relation to the work of the Motability Foundation and providing timely updates to relevant internal stakeholders.

• Providing updates on relevant political developments and drafting briefings for Governors, Directors, senior management and a variety of audiences across the organisation where appropriate. 

• Supporting the delivery of a contact program with key stakeholders, raising awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, supporting work to establish regular meetings for senior leaders and facilitating dialogue on issues relevant to our work. 

• Working closely with colleagues across the Public Affairs and Policy functions to prepare materials to support our work to communicate policy positions and outputs to the external world. 

• Building and maintaining external stakeholder relationships with key audiences, including disabled people’s organisations, disability charities, transport sector stakeholders, and wider industry bodies.

• Working with colleagues across Branding and Marketing to support the creation of written literature for key audiences to communicate the impact of the Foundation’s work.

Your experience:

Must haves

• Solid grasp of parliamentary processes in Westminster and the Devolved Nations, and familiarity with wider Parliamentary functions and vehicles – e.g. All Party Parliamentary and Cross-Party Groups. 

• Prior experience of working in public affairs or similar field. 

• Experience of regular political monitoring and familiarity with utilising political monitoring services - i.e. DeHavilland, Polimonitor or similar.

• Ability to advance projects independently with appropriate support from senior team members, while contributing effectively to team efforts. 

• Experience of producing briefing notes for stakeholder meetings and updating on policy developments for a variety of audiences.

• Comfortable drafting written communications designed for political audiences – i.e. emails, letters, briefing notes. 

• Ability to proactively identify opportunities to influence policy and shape political activity. 

• Strong communication skills, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly and share information in an accessible way to a variety of audiences. 

• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in Government, industry, and other charities and foundations, particularly via written communications. 

• Highly IT literate with extensive experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

Nice to haves: 

• Understanding of key disability and transport issues, such as the social model of disability, inclusive micro mobility, or the transition to electric vehicles.

About This Role

We are looking for an exceptional Volunteer Manager to lead and nurture our London volunteer community, which is made up of almost 400 volunteers. This role is key to ensuring every volunteer feels valued, supported, and inspired to give their best in helping women succeed in their employment journeys.

You will be responsible for the full volunteer journey – from recruitment, induction, and training through to ongoing engagement and recognition. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the London centres and the wider Smart Works network to ensure our volunteer community remains strong, inclusive, and aligned with our values.

The role would be based across all three London centres (Islington, Ladbroke Grove and Croydon), and there will be occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu is given.

The successful candidate will build strong working relations with our staff team and volunteers, as well as the teams across Smart Works centres in the UK. Turner’s House is a small independent museum in Twickenham housed in a Grade II* listed building, open to the public since 2017. This is a key role in helping secure its long-term sustainability. The Partnerships Director will be responsible for leading all income-generating and related partnership activity (fundraising, commercial hires, marketing/PR, retail, commercial events, donor cultivation etc.), as well as being hands-on in ensuring the House is open and running smoothly, including keyholder responsibilities (opening/closing, occasional weekend or evening work). • Lead and deliver a portfolio income strategy: trusts & foundations grants, individuals (Circles and Patrons), corporates/sponsorship, commercial events, commercial hires.

The Tours & Projects Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of several key areas of the  Orchestra’s core performance activity, including but not limited to: international stand-alone concerts, tours and  residencies; UK tours, engagements and festival performances; commercial recordings and special projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for The Dickson Poon School of Law.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Dickson Poon School of Law.

The team will play a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for faculties, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.

We will build on our already successful fundraising to achieve ambitious new goals for philanthropy – creating strong partnerships across campus and with donors, to realise shared priorities and deliver strategic impact.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with academic and professional service colleagues across King’s to secure significant philanthropic income to support student outcomes and drive world-leading teaching and research.

The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England. The School’s research and teaching address some of the most pressing questions of our time relating to equality and human rights, the legal implications of climate change, globalisation, international relations, trade, competition and global finance, to name but a few. Members of The Dickson Poon School of Law advise governments, serve on commissions and public bodies and are seconded to national and international organisations, helping to shape policy and practice nationally and internationally.

This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. A proven track-record of cultivating, securing, and stewarding five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts
2. Experience of qualifying and cultivating new philanthropic relationships
3. Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with senior internal stakeholders
4. Proven interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
5. Ability to plan strategically and implement those plans
6. The ability to negotiate throughout a large, complex environment with multi-dimensional points of view
7. Ability to manage multiple projects, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities in order to meet agreed objectives and income
8. An understanding of the philanthropic landscape and what would motivate a prospect to give to King’s

Role Summary

The Programme officer role is a key component of a CEC wide initiative to ensure that national objectives and strategies are aligned across the business and implemented effectively and consistently across our Career Hubs infrastructure.

A key priority for this role will be supporting CEC’s and the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. The role will support specific programmes, pilots and activities that will be rolled out across Careers Hubs.

This role will play a key part in supporting the implementation of the programmatic strategy for Work Experience as well as other strands of work. It will support in helping to translate national initiatives and policy aligned with our strategic priorities into operational programmes delivered through our Network of Career Hubs. Priorities and programmes may change and flex over time but work experience will remain a priority theme.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural collaborator, a strong communicator and have strong organizational skills, and some function knowledge of our priorities.

The role will also contribute towards the wider success of the Network and Employers team supporting colleagues and areas outside of the designated area as required.

Within this role we would also offer a development opportunity for post holders not currently qualified in project management. Such employees would be offered the Associate project manager (level 4) apprenticeship, which is an 18-month development programme. This would be fully funded and paid for by CEC, you would be able to complete the qualification while in post in the Programme Officer role and you would also be given the appropriate release time each week for activities and tasks specifically related to gaining the qualification.

The renewal of Methodist worship is highlighted in God for All 2025-32 as a significant commitment.

This exciting and varied role offers the opportunity to facilitate the music aspects of Methodist worship renewal across The Connexion. High-quality music is central to Methodist worship and this role will combine a significant amount of resource development, hands-on training and delivery online and in local circuits and Districts.

In this role, you will also have particular responsible for growing, fostering, nurturing and developing the community of church musicians, being responsible for networks, communication and all aspects of training and development. Additionally, you will play a leading role in working to develop the music aspects of The Resource Hub (formerly Singing the Faith +). Finally, you will work with congregations and circuits where there are no church musicians, to support high quality music within worship in those contexts.

About you

We are seeking to appoint someone with a strong sense of what musical excellence in worship looks like. Alongside this, you will believe deeply in the importance of wide congregational participation in worship. You will have an ability to translate the best of Methodist tradition for a contemporary setting. The role will require someone who is a natural communicator and skilled facilitator, able to work across the broad range of worshipping and musical traditions within The Methodist Church, and a gifted musician. You will enjoy resourcing, developing and delivering high-quality training for congregations, musicians, and those who lead worship, both online and in person.

The Ministries: Vocation and Worship Team (part of the wider Ministries and Learning Team) in which this role sits, is friendly, supportive, vibrant and passionate. The team is led by The Director of Ministry Development. You will be line-managed by The Connexional Worship Renewal Team Leader and work closely with other teams, such as The Learning Team and Evangelism and Growth, and across The Connexion.
