Main purpose and scope of Role
This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:
PTA Programme
- Growing our network of PTAs.
- Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
- Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
- Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
- Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
- Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
- Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available.
Parent Programme
- Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
- Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
- Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
- Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Purpose
Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising Support Manager will support the Fundraising Manager in the fundraising efforts of Crustacean Compassion. This will be role building on two specific areas of work already undertaken, specifically reviewing, and supporting major donors’ proposals, and developing the supporter journey and engagement process.
The applicant will need to have an active knowledge and warm contacts with potential funders, be able to prepare and create proposals immediately as well as use CRM or external screening sources to identify and communicate with potential major donors. General Duties
- Implement the execution of the fundraising strategy to lead income streams, delivering growth in restricted and unrestricted income whilst engaging supporter journeys to active givers.

About the team
Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:
- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
- providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.
This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.

The Branch Manager will manage the business activities associated with the Branch, per the Society’s rules and on behalf of the Branch Trustees. The Branch Manager will work alongside the Animal Care Coordinator in maintaining RSPCA Welfare standards and recruiting fosterers.
General Management
- Undertake all admin duties as defined by the Trustees.
- Responsible for the recruitment of animal fosterers and volunteers, alongside the Animal Care Coordinator.
- Create and implement an animal welfare awareness programme for children under 10.
- Attend Branch Trustee meetings and present relevant information (1 evening a month).
- Maintain all electronic platforms and social media.
- Ensure staff and volunteers are aware of and adhere to the Branch and National Society policies, procedures and rules.
- To facilitate the employment, deployment, appraisal, training and discipline of staff.
- Ensure that training needs are identified and brought to the Branch Trustees’ attention.
- Ensure that Branch staff have current job descriptions and are aware of their responsibilities.
- To establish local volunteer groups to support with their own fundraising and events, offering them advice and support.

The Role:

INTRODUCTION TO THE GLOBAL HEALTH WORKFORCE PROGRAMME
We are looking for 3 Administrative Assistants based in 1x Addis Ababa Ethiopia, 1x Hargeisa Somaliland & 1x Lilongwe Malawi
Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), and managed by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), the Global Health Workforce Programme (GHWP) aims to develop the health workforce (HWF) in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and Somaliland supporting them to build stronger, more resilient health systems for post-pandemic recovery and to make progress towards UHC.
Grants for UK-LMIC and cross-LMIC health partnerships will be awarded to respond to national HWF priorities identified through a scoping assessment carried out by THET with DHSC, FCDO, national Governments and stakeholders (such as local World Health Organisation offices). These grants will run until December 2025.
With a strong focus on building local ownership and sustainability, these partnerships will contribute to the following programmatic outcomes:
1. Partnerships contributing towards improved health workforce leadership capacity aligned with health workforce strategies, that will support reduction in gender inequalities.
2. Partnerships aligning with and contributing towards retention and wellbeing strategies.
3. Improved number and quality of training opportunities for health workers.
4. Co-developed and documented learning on health workforce interventions shared with key national and international stakeholders.
THET will award 28-36 strategic grants of £100,000 – £350,000 that feed into the country scoping priorities and outputs outlined above. The grants will broadly be split across the six countries; however, the exact split is dependent on the number and quality of applications received and broader priorities.
20-28 smaller grants of up to £50,000 will also be available for projects that tackle specific areas such as innovation, rural health facilities, diaspora engagement, leadership opportunities for women and protected groups, and the climate crisis.
Grants will be available to UK-LMIC health partnerships and LMIC-LMIC health partnerships. There are no institutional eligibility criteria as long as ODA rules are followed, so grants can be awarded to healthcare providers, royal colleges, universities, professional associations, NGOs, alliances, diaspora networks etc, but not to Ministry of Health departments.

You will need to have knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impact, strong crisis management skills and skills in providing non-judgemental trauma informed support. The Role
This exciting new role will be required to provide a range of early interventions for children impacted by sexual harm or sexual exploitation.
The post holder will conduct assessments, provide recommendations, provide time limited non-criminal justice advocacy and psychosocial education to support the needs of children and young people who have either experienced sexual harm or may have caused sexual harm to others.
Tasks include:
- To undertake risk and needs assessments (including specialist AIM assessment where required for children who have caused sexual harm) and undertake associated report writing and recommendations.
- To provide time limited non- criminal justice advocacy, psychosocial education and support to children and young people and their families who have experienced sexual violence/have caused sexual harm to others.
- To develop and deliver interventions based on individual needs of clients.
- Collaborate and support a range of multiagency partners to ensure the most appropriate pathway of support for the individual survivor.
- Advocate on behalf of those impacted by sexual harm to ensure they can have access to a range of services based on need.
- Carry out institutional advocacy and stakeholder engagement and communication to enhance to wellbeing of all survivors of sexual violence.
- Ensure all risk and safeguarding processes and procedures are followed.
- To undertake evaluation and outcome meetings and data reporting to ensure continuous development of services.
- To support the group work facilitation of the delivery of psychosocial education in schools, colleges and community settings.
