About the team
You'll be joining the Welfare Operations Directorate Project team, which is part of the wider implementation team responsible for a major organisational change programme.

Role
In this exciting yet challenging role as Emotional Support Worker, you will provide valuable support to survivors of sexual abuse and their loved ones, through our helpline service. Last year, around 2,400 people contact us via this crucial service. Our helpline is a starting point for support, as men and boy’s take their first steps reaching out for help. We are also integral to the SurvivorsUK eco-system, providing support to client’s on our counselling waiting list and helping survivors navigate the different support options that are available.
We provide emotional support, information and signposting through a national helpline service, which is offered via Webchat, SMS, Email, and soon to be offered via WhatsApp and telephone. We are open from 10am to 8pm, 7 days per week.

Role Summary:
As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. About the role
You’ll use your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s.
You’ll support the development of a vibrant national network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. You’ll also work with health and care professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to respond to any threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change.
This role is being advertised on a fixed term, 12 month contract.
What you’ll do

Facilitate health and care service redesign and improvement projects in collaboration with clinicians, Parkinson’s UK staff and people living with Parkinson’s and drawing on the principles of co-production

Build relationships to influence service improvement across North East England and Yorkshire, and support the development of a vibrant national network

Maximise participation in the UK Parkinson's Audit and relevant surveys

Support health & care services to develop and implement service improvement plans, using the results of the UK Parkinson's Audit as a lever

Promote the Excellence network funding opportunities, providing support where appropriate with the development of business cases and grant applications
What you’ll bring

Experience and expertise in service redesign and effecting change within health and/or social care in North East England and Yorkshire

Knowledge of health and care structures and commissioning across North East England and Yorkshire

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior clinicians

Ability to negotiate and influence, with strong report writing and presentation skills

This role is home based with the requirement to live within and travel around your assigned geography. The assigned geography for the region covers the NHS England North East and Yorkshire region.
You will also be required to attend team and individual meetings that usually take place in our London Office. There may also be the requirement for occasional overnight stays.

The Role
We are now recruiting a Charity Administrator to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. This remote, UK-based role will involve occasional in-person meetings and offers a unique opportunity to shape the operational foundations of a start-up charity from the ground up.
In this role, you will support the formal registration of the charity with the Charity Commission, helping to draft key documents and establish essential policies and procedures. You will be responsible for setting up basic administrative systems, coordinating trustee meetings and records, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves supporting communication with local partners in Bangladesh and external consultants, as well as assisting with the preparation of early-stage grant and donor applications.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in charity administration, ideally within a small or newly established organisation. A strong understanding of Charity Commission regulations, solid organisational skills, and confidence working independently in a flexible environment are essential. Experience with international development or an understanding of Bangladeshi culture would be a bonus, but not essential.

This role reports to the Head of Communications with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South West Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. You’ll identify the areas of greatest impact and cut through, deliver integrated awareness campaigns and secure media coverage of fundraising events. Crucially, you’ll be able to identify stories which resonate with our target audience and write calls to action.
