Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post.
Male staff only - customer requires only male staff due to personal care and behavioural / support needs.

* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
* Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
* Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
* Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery

Specialist Behaviour Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing.
This role includes weekend work and will involve shift-based scheduling during weekends.
Driving is mandatory for this role.
This role requires sleep-in shifts at the service.
What you'll do:
* Supporting the customer to lead a full and active life and do things they enjoy, sensitively and persistently trying to new things to open up new opportunities for the customer;
* Developing the customer's independent living skills and involving them in aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and decorating;
* Supporting the customer in their sensory routine, trialling and testing new sensory experiences;
This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and is subject to change in accordance with the needs of Look Ahead.
About you:
* Enjoys social interaction and the company of others, joins in with the hobbies and interests of the customer and is able to facilitate connections with new people and places;
* Has a reasonable level of physical fitness and is able / likes to participate in active pursuits such as running and swimming;
* Is confident enough to try new things and take positive risks on a regular basis;
What you'll bring:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years of experience working with customers with Autism/Challenging Behaviour/learning disabilities
* Driving licence and a willingness to drive as part of support duties;
Desirable:
* Experience of engaging vulnerable people with complex needs in meaningful activities.

Bank Support Workers may be able to work shifts from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

Join the Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG) team as a Paralegal in either our Bristol or London office! Deighton Pierce Glynn aim to use law to empower our clients to challenge abuses, failures, and other unlawful conduct by the government and those with power.

- The Action against the Police department’s work focuses on private law actions against state agencies including the police, the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office, as well as inquests touching upon state-related deaths and some public law cases.

About the Roles: We are seeking a dedicated full time Paralegal to work in our Bristol Actions Against the Police (AAP) department and three Paralegals to work in our Public Law Department, one being based in London and two in Bristol. After 12 months provided you achieve certain criteria the job will progress to a training contract. We structure our training in this way to ensure once qualified you are able to work at a solicitor level.

London Salary: £28,400 per annum
Bristol Salary: £26,700 per annum
