About the Role
The Operations Manager will provide oversight across administration, compliance, governance, facilities and HR to ensure the Angelou Centre operates effectively and efficiently. You will ensure that the Centre is safe and welcoming for staff and service users, maintains compliant and efficient operational systems, and deliver key projects on time and to high standards.
This is a key leadership role requiring strong organisational, problem-solving, and people-management skills, with the ability to design and embed systems that strengthen our work and improve our workplace.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
- Has significant experience in an operations, administration, or HR role. Ideally within the charity sector.
- Has excellent knowledge of HR best practice within the UK, with experience within learning and development.

About the Role
As our VAWG Service Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of The Angelou Centre’s holistic, trauma informed and culturally competent VAWG services for Black and minoritised women and children. You will ensure the smooth and efficient management of our frontline VAWG services for Black and racialised women and children across Northumbria and the North East. You will manage the day-to-day delivery of projects and services, case management as well as managing a caseload of complex cases. You will ensure that all services maintain high safeguarding standards across the organisation, ensuring that we continue to prioritise women and children or their rights remains central to services. As our VAWG Service Manager you will oversee our representation at multi-agency partnership meetings and develop strategic opportunities for the VAWG services. You will work closely with our Safe Accommodation and Refuge team to ensure our residents remain safe and receive a high standard of support.
Our ideal candidate is someone who;
- Has previously worked within the Domestic Abuse and/or VAWG Sector in management positions, with an excellent knowledge of rights-based ending VAWG service delivery and a track record of case management and safeguarding.
- Is interested in working strategically with the Executive Director to develop and maintain external partnerships, that will support the delivery of quality VAWG services and needs based service growth.
- Strong leadership experience to support the development of high-quality advocacy services and an aspirational staff team.
- Someone with a strong practice in rights-based intersectional advocacy management who has a deep understanding of the needs of diverse racialised communities from a Black feminist perspective.

As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider financial strategy of the charity. UKMSA exists to support the vitality, creativity and sustainability of Men’s Sheds, and to amplify the voices and impact of Shedders. As Finance Manager, you’ll work in partnership with the Director of Income and Investment, playing a key role in making sure UKMSA is financially secure, transparent, and able to increase and develop our support for the Shedding movement.
This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone with a recognised accountancy qualification and experience in charity finance. You’ll be confident using AccountsIQ (or similar systems), able to manage detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, and comfortable explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues. About the role
Mission Without Borders is seeking an experienced Salesforce Configuration Specialist to focus on three key areas; Configuring a new Salesforce platform, integration of existing platforms, and supporting users around the world.
As a Salesforce expert and product champion, the post holder will work closely with our existing Salesforce Support Specialists and Salesforce team, configuring the new system as well as being the first point of contact for Salesforce support across all staff in all 18 countries. Working with the system solution designs and architecture design documents created by the Salesforce Systems Architect, they will configure a brand-new Salesforce platform for program and beneficiary management. They will also need to ensure it is integrated with our existing NPSP donor management platform and works with other systems and services across the organisation.
In addition to configuration, they will triage incoming tickets, provide support, fix problems, make configuration changes, and work closely with our International Project Manager and Salesforce Developer and Product Owner to manage change requests.
Who we are looking for
You will have proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator and strong experience implementing new configurations from scratch. Educated to relevant degree level (or equivalent, or qualified by experience), be a certified Salesforce Admin, and have experience with NPSP. NPC would be an advantage.
A logical thinker, excellent problem solver, and an ability to juggle multiple duties and prioritise competing tasks. You must be able to translate solution designs and technical designs into working solutions.
You must be an excellent written and verbal communicator, have strong stakeholder management skills, and be excellent at customer service.
You must be an exceptionally competent English speaker and have the right to travel to the UK and work in one of the following countries: UK, Albania, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Switzerland or Ukraine.

What you’ll do
As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.
This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.
- Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised.
- Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers.
- Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments.
- Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
- Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function.
- Get involved with projects such as:
- Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
- Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
- Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making.
- Support the Finance Lead to:
- Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
- Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments.
- Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
- Check through our quarterly VAT return.
- Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
- Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
- Create the annual budget.
- Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.
Who we’re looking for
You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.
- You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
- You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
- You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
- You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
- Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
- Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential.
Working together
We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

The Email Marketing Executive plays a key supporting role in the planning and delivery of our email communications.
This role is responsible for supporting effective email campaign delivery by collaborating with stakeholders to shape email plans, providing feedback on content, and ensuring journeys are well structured and delivered to a high standard. The postholder will also be responsible for reporting on campaign performance and providing actionable insights to support ongoing improvement.
You will work directly with the Email Channel Owner and contribute to ensuring consistency and efficiency in delivery and compile regular reports on email performance. Collaboration, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of email marketing best practice are essential for success in this role.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Email platform proficiency: Experience using email marketing tools, ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Understanding of best practice: Familiarity with email marketing standards, GDPR compliance, and optimisation techniques.

What will I be doing?
You will plan and deliver Cancer Research UK events. Your main delivery will be outdoor mass participation events alongside some staff and supporter conferences and engagement events, as well as virtual online events.
Example of some events you might deliver:
Cancer Research UK's flagship Race for Life 3k, 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy and Shine Night Walk
Flame of Hope - annual volunteer award ceremony for up to 100 people
Inspire - intimate supporter engagement event for up to 40 people
Annual CRUK departmental conferences.
One week you might be delivering Race for Life for 1,000 participants in a public park, followed the next week by drafting plans for an intimate hotel-based event to thank our loyal volunteers for all they do for CRUK.
What does planning and delivering our events involve?
Following processes, guidelines and deadlines - you are given a guide or process to follow when producing Cancer Research UK Events
Venue Research - find and assess suitability of new venues for mass participation outdoor events and indoor events
Venue - build strong relationships, negotiate event approval and costs
Suppliers - research, negotiate, book, plan, brief and ensure high standards are met. Suppliers include PA, first aid, caterers, florists, traffic management and stewards.
Event Documentation - following event guidelines, design and review event courses and sites (Race for Life and Shine Night Walk events), carry out health and safety checks and complete documentation such as risk assessments, running orders, course map, site map, volunteer plans and briefing documents
Project Plan - produce and oversee project plans, working closely and effectively with all event stakeholders
Budget - plan event budgets, negotiate best costs and be responsible for your event spend
Volunteers - build relationships with longstanding volunteers and recruit new volunteers. Manage volunteer welfare and experience on event day
Event Staff - brief staff on their role and manage them throughout the event offering feedback and coaching
Supporter experience - ensure that events are fun and enjoyable by booking entertainment and overseeing the supporter experience
Event day - lead and manage your event team (staff, volunteers, suppliers) to set up the event site and course, oversee welfare of supporters and team and deal with issues that may arise to ensure smooth operation of the event
After the event - gather feedback and complete post-event administrative tasks
Other departments - develop relationships and work with several departments across Cancer Research UK. Work with colleagues from other teams to deliver the events they require.

About Action for ME
Action for ME is the only charity in the UK providing support, including healthcare, to people of all ages affected by ME. The charity was founded by Sue Finlay in 1987 and since then has been taking holistic approach so we can make an impact on multiple fronts - from amplifying the voices of people affected by ME in Government and leading on breakthrough research, to providing "lifeline" support and unique healthcare services on a daily basis.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), sometimes referred to and diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a chronic, fluctuating disease, causing symptoms such as post-exertional malaise (PEM), sleep problems, problems with thinking and memory (brain fog), pain and crushing fatigue. There are an estimated 1.3 million people living with ME or ME-like symptoms, including PEM, in the UK alone.
Even in its so-called mildest form, ME can have a significant impact on an individual’s life, and not just on their health. A lack of understanding and awareness about ME means patients can experience disbelief, and even discrimination, from friends, family, health and social care professionals, employers and teachers.
For the first time there is an increased awareness of post viral illness because of the Covid -19 pandemic. After decades of neglect this offers Action for ME an opportunity to accelerate our work for people with ME in a way we have never been able to do before. The intent of everything we do is to pursue positive impact for the lives, rights, and futures of people affected by ME.
Job purpose
This role will deliver an exceptional supporter experience to our donors, building and maintaining strong relationships with our supporters. Working closely with other members of the fundraising and communications teams, you will deliver our supporter journey, maintain regular communication with donors and be an integral part of our fundraising campaigns and appeals.
Key duties
- Work with the Fundraising Operations Manager to deliver our supporter journey, engaging current and prospective donors with our work and giving them an excellent experience of supporting Action for ME.
- Be responsible for creating the methods that ensure each supporter relationship is maximised, increasing retention rates for a growing supporter base. As such you will be required to engage with supporters so that they feel valued, and relationships can be developed further for the benefit of the charity.
- Lead on thanking donors, including making phone calls to donors as part of stewardship.
- Work closely with the Fundraising Operations Manager and the team to support the growth of income streams, including but not limited to, individual giving, Gift Aid, legacies, trading, community fundraising and membership.
- Work with the communications team on the delivery of digital communications, including social media and e-communications for a diverse range of audiences.
- Play a key role in fundraising appeals and campaigns including our yearly Big Give Christmas Challenge, Summer Appeal, Thanking Campaign and any other fundraising initiative or project as directed by the Fundraising Operations Manager or Director of Fundraising.
