Variety is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Executive to support the development and delivery of our corporate partnerships portfolio and to support securing new partnerships. Our corporate supporters are key to achieving our mission to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time as we launch a three year strategy to drive ambitious growth, with a new Director of Fundraising in place. You will support the delivery and development of sector-leading partnerships.

You will play a key role in our collaborative and high-performing team, working across the fundraising team to develop corporate leads from our high profile events and supporters, support our existing partnerships and drive corporate engagement to achieve our goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support the account management of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship, increasing engagement and supporting delivery for maximum potential for Variety
● Research business leads to feed the corporate pipeline and new business approaches, identifying prospects
● Keep partnership account plans up to date including fundraising, communications, finance and impact reporting, ensuring we meet key deadlines
● Send fundraising materials to supporters and corporate partners to enhance staff fundraising and engagement
● Attend Varity fundraising and awareness events, maximizing engagement opportunities for corporate partners and building relationships with supporters, while working closely with the services and communications team
● Managing a portfolio of smaller partnerships, giving great stewardship and ensuring donations and fundraising come in as planned
● Support budgeting of income from partners and reforecasting income
● Support administration in fundraising including sending out materials, replying to general enquiries, creating proposals and invoicing partners
● Participate in staff meetings, fundraising team meetings and contribute to the success of Variety’s fundraising strategy
● Represent Variety externally at events and cheque presentations

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). CUP Global (previously known as CUP) is a unique, long-standing, and rigorous research programme that systematically gathers, analyses, and judges the strength of the global evidence on how diet, nutrition, physical activity and body weight affect cancer risk and survival. This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful. 

As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.

Charity People are thrilled to be recruiting for a large and prestigious organisation to help strategically drive their fundraising, particularly philanthropy. The is a critical role in the organisation to ensure that philanthropic income is implemented in line with donor expectations and ensuring any obligations are stipulated in gift and grant agreements. The Philanthropy Implementation Manager will play an active role in developing and delivering gift implementation improvement projects, acting as a pivotal person between fundraising and finance teams across the organisation. The role is key to ensure that fundraisers are securing gifts in line with departmental policies. The role will also have a particular focus on programme management, ensuring that gifts are advertised and implemented.

The successful postholder will quickly build strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders that will support the work of Fundraising and Supporter Development team, supporting fundraisers working in Major Gifts, whilst not directly involved in the work, you will be able to provide advice and guidance to staff working within these income streams, as well as work with the Business Support Officer to support the management of securing philanthropic gifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with fundraisers and colleagues in the Supporter Operations and Donor Relations teams, to ensure that philanthropic gifts are correctly implemented in line with the donor's expectations and the terms of their gift agreements.
• Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure the funding is used correctly and pledge payments are fulfilled.
• Design complex gift implementation strategies.
• Develop and monitor systems that ensure fundraiser compliance with policies and procedures relating to the implementation of donations. This will also include supporting the Philanthropy Team in monitoring gifts in stewardship, highlighting any gifts requiring re-solicitation.
• Use relationship management techniques to ensure that the relevant stakeholders are notified of any changes or delays to gift implementation. For example, capital builds, recruitment of key posts, progress in research projects.
• Support the Philanthropy Team and wider Directorate in managing business processes, developing processes, and review of key gift documentation, that will support future implementation of philanthropic donations.

About you:

With a strong background in growing income streams, you will bring a proven track record in securing multi-year funding at the level of six figures+. You will have experience raising funds from a diverse range of fundraising streams including major donors, institutional funders, foundations, multi-lateral funders and corporations. You will have strong understanding and experience of how donors make decisions to ensure maximum fundraising success. Experience within a non-profit organisation that is international would be very beneficial.

At Yorkshire Cancer Community, our vision is for everyone affected by cancer to have the best support possible. We are a patient-led charity, with a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who are passionate about helping anyone affected by cancer.

Working in partnership with West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance (WYHCA), we aim to help reduce cancer rates through our Cancer SMART project, which raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, so people are better informed, attend screening and know where to go for help.

As part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, you’ll offer emotional and practical support to inpatients and continue to work with them in the community after discharge, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

As the national body for youth work, the NYA has a dual function. We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. About the Role
 
This role is situated within the NYA Academy with a focus on providing the very best youth work learning and development experiences across our NYA activities and programs for clients and young people. This role line manages and coordinates a team of Academy Tutors, supporting the delivery of training and developmental support for the NYA Academy. You will also hold cohort(s) of learners and be responsible for providing a positive learning experience.  
 
The role requires a highly experienced youth work practitioner and line manager that is competent and confident in a leadership role; able to manage a passionate and experienced team of youth work specialists to provide a supportive space for reflective practice and professional growth whilst maintaining performance across NYA Academy contracts. 
 
With a focus on training and development, this role requires experience of understanding the needs of learners, how to create engaging and relevant content and how to deliver high quality experiences for learners and other customers. 
 
The post will require significant networking and engagement across the youth sector to ensure the NYA’s work is rooted in the needs of our sector. 
 
Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Manage and motivate a team of youth work specialists, providing line management and opportunities for reflective practice.  
• Working with the Deputy Academy Principal to manage workflow and ensure deliverables are meeting required timescales. 
• Work with the Deputy Academy Principal to build sector capacity to deliver quality youth work practice qualifications and CPD. 
• Tutor and assess cohort(s) of learners.  
• Work with the wider delivery team to develop and deliver training and development programmes to NYA staff and clients. 
• Provide quality assurance for training and qualifications delivered across the NYA, working collaboratively with Lead IQAs.  
• Ensure the NYA follows best safeguarding best practice. 
• Ensure all operational activity and youth work content is to the highest quality, representing the position of NYA as the National Body for Youth Work in England. 
• Any other duties that may reasonably be required of the role.

The Role 

Multiple Disadvantage refuge workers provide specialist support services to women with multiple needs, who have experienced domestic, or sexual violence and who have mental illness or use substances problematically.

You will work as part of the Refuge Team to enhance provision to women who may face additional barriers to accessing refuge or maintaining their space in supported accommodation.  This role will be located over one or two boroughs, and you will have a small caseload across a number of sites. You will undertake risk assessments, safety plans and identify support needs in relation to move on such as accessing benefits, setting up utilities, budgeting, ensuring safety measures are in place and to support them to maintain their tenancy. You will provide solution focused casework, whilst ensuring the service users voice is heard throughout. Providing support with life skills and practical support in relation to skills that may not yet have been developed.

You will enhance the refuge service by providing ad hoc advise and capacity building for the refuge team in working with women who experience additional disadvantage.  You will contribute to the smooth running of the refuge, including admissions of survivors.  You will work with women to devise a support plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and starts the process of recovery, linking women into more specialist support services where required.  You will assist your colleagues with the smooth running of the refuge ensuring that rents and service charges are paid, rooms are available, organising repairs and responding to crisis situations.

Accountabilities

· Provide Solution-focused casework interventions with women who have experienced VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage

· Provide emotional support using a trauma informed approach

· Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with service users within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’

· Provide support with life skills, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed

· Maintain accurate case notes and up to date records

· Contribute to the completion of outcomes reports and funding returns when required

· Complete risk assessments and safety and support planning to meet the individual needs of service users  

· Build and maintain supportive relationships with women, empowering them to access services

· Involve service users in the design, development and delivery of the service

· Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between violence against women services and drug and alcohol agencies, mental health, housing, health and legal agencies.

· Attend and contribute to MARAC as appropriate

· Be self-motivated to research processes and services in order to fully support and advocate for the women. 

· Attend regular supervision sessions with your Line Manager
