We are looking for an experienced Careers and Employability Adviser with extensive knowledge of working with care experienced young people (16-26) to guide and support young people in their professional development to help them reach their full potential.

Position: Careers and Employability Adviser

Location: London Waterloo (twice a week based in Lewisham)

Salary: £34,900 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Start date: July 2025

Benefits: 27 days holiday per year PLUS the 1st Friday of every month is a half day. Pension and contributions are payable 3% after 3 months of service, employee assistance programme.

Overview of the role

As the Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a range of fundraising appeals and our individual and regular giving programmes. This position also provides plenty of variety and the opportunity to support and develop skills across several income streams. The Fundraising Officer will work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Communications teams and closely with the Senior Fundraising Managers.

 What you will do as part of our team

Fundraising activities

Individual Giving

· Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships

· Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship

· Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at a lower to mid level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys

Fundraising Appeals

· Manage Glass Door’s direct marketing appeals including our flagship annual Christmas appeal – taking the lead on the direct mail and email campaign

· Lead on content development, and implementation of donor segmentation based on giving history, preferences, and engagement levels

· Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver a robust communication plan – actively taking part in the case studies, content creation and digital campaign plans (social media and website)

· Create and implement a follow-up communication plan to thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions

· Undertake evaluations of each appeal’s performance metrics and donor responses to refine future appeals

Fundraising support

· Monitor the Fundraising inbox and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries from individual donors or prospects

· Support the Senior Fundraising Managers with research into current and prospective donors, and compile information to support funding applications and reports

· Thank and steward in-memoriam gifts

· Support the wider team at events e.g. Sleep Out, Christmas Carols and other supporter events

Fundraising Administration

· Create and update donor records as required on Access Charity CRM database , ensuring relevant records are kept up to date, accurate and consistent at all times.

· Work with Finance and the Income Processing Assistant to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations, including scanning cheques, coding bank transfers and web donations, entering details in the CRM database, banking cash, setting up Direct Debits and acknowledging/thanking donors via email or post.

The International Growth Centre (IGC) works with policymakers in developing countries to promote inclusive and sustainable growth through pathbreaking research. We generate new evidence and innovative new ideas to improve the productivity of people and firms, as the key driver of sustainable economic development, and to support our government partners in transitioning to low-carbon growth pathways and protecting vulnerable populations. The IGC is a global research centre with a network of world-leading researchers and in-country teams and initiatives working across Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. Based at LSE and in partnership with the University of Oxford, we are majority funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

The Communications Manager (PR, Brand and Publications) will be essential to promoting IGC’s ideas and the use of evidence in policy decision-making at global and national levels. The position will take a leading role in developing and delivering the digital and storytelling strategies for the IGC.

Communications Manager (PR, Brand and Publications)

The role includes:

• Responsibility for story development and delivery across activities, including PR and impact.

• Owning and enhancing the IGC brand and visual identity.

• Building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.

• Managing creative agencies and freelance designers.

• Leading the content management processes for publications on IGC’s project management system.

• Advising and training teams on best practice in storytelling.

The successful applicant will have:

• Strong experience in storytelling across a range of development issues.

• A track record of developing and delivering content strategies, particularly in media, PR and impact.

• Great relationship-building expertise with journalists, media outlets and partner organisations.

• A creative eye and good working skills in Adobe Creative Suite, and particularly InDesign.

• Confidence working with content and project management tools, like AirTable and Drupal.

• Excellent listening and collaborative skills, and cultural sensitivity.

• Experience in research/policy communications in economics and/or international development.

Person Specification

Essential:

• An experienced corporate or trust fundraiser, with a strong track record of securing funding.
• A confident relationship-builder, able to engage with potential funders and partners.

Engagement Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the London Locality Impact team to support our work with colleagues across the locality, stroke communities and health care system, and in supporting people affected by stroke to provide the voice of lived experience.

Position: S11279 Engagement Officer

Location: Home-based, London - Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (includes team meetings and other external work related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: circa £23,088 per annum (inner London weighting £3,160 per annum or outer London weighting £1,820 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2026.

The Role

Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality to deliver against planned activity and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Engaging with service providers, clinical partners, community groups for stroke survivors and carers in the locality. including managing relationships with voluntary led support groups, developing the London groups network.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Enabling sustainable and supportive stroke communities to flourish in the locality
• Supporting stroke survivors to be able to take part in a range of different opportunities to provide the voice of lived experience.
• Building and maintaining key relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identifying and developing opportunities to connect and facilitate stakeholders to influence and support change to improve the lives of those affected by stroke
• Supporting and developing volunteer led support groups

About You

You will have experience/understanding of:

• Working in partnership with other organisations, including in health and voluntary sector
• Working with and supporting a wide range of stakeholders
• Developing support using co-production with service users
• Supporting groups and developing networks

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Services based in either the Liverpool, Rochdale or Oldham area.

Position: S11280 Stroke Support Coordinator – 3 posts

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
