About the role 

Working closely with our Senior New Business Manager, you'll take ownership for researching, engaging and developing corporate partnerships with high-value companies across a range of exciting industry sectors.

The Role

This position will support the Education and Workforce team in its mission to build a thriving, diverse physics teaching community and will see you support the operational delivery of the Scholarships Programme, including the recruitment, assessment and selection of Scholars, and the two-year support programme.

What will I be doing?

Working for our Strategic Implementation Manager the focus will be on leading on the operational delivery of the IOP Teacher Training Scholarships. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing support to the Strategic Implementation Manager in relation to the Scholarships budget, including creating budget forecasts and quarterly invoices.
• Working with our internal Marketing Department to shape the marketing programme and evaluating the effectiveness of our various advertising channels – including our webinar series.
• To manage applications, including setting up and maintaining the online application form, screening ineligible candidates, obtaining references from referees, collating applications for the shortlisting process and assessment panels.
• Data management and storage, including providing data and analysis to facilitate monthly/quarterly reporting and invoicing to the DfE, ensuring candidate and Scholar data is captured, maintained and deleted according to the IOP policy guidelines, supporting the tracking of scholars through their initial training and into teaching.  Including, supervising the consultant in charge of the data capture of the status and wellbeing of Scholars.

Who will I work with?

You will be line managed by the Strategic Implementation Manager and support the Manager Teaching Workforce in the delivery of their projects.

Essential Criteria

• Experience of working in a project-based environment with significant internal and external stakeholder interest. Note that formal project management qualifications are not a requirement.
• Sustained and confident working knowledge of MS Excel and handling data
• Skilled in the administration and PM of multiple projects and ensuring quality assurance through evaluation, reporting and monitoring processes and documentation.

Nice to have

• This role does not require physics subject knowledge or teaching experience, but these would be an advantage.
• Website maintenance experience
• Experience using customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Head of Service for Performance & Quality you will:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the delivery of two innovative rehabilitation and employment initiatives supporting people leaving prison into meaningful, sustainable work.

About the Role

This is a hands-on delivery and coordination role working across the organisation’s two flagship programmes, Inside Job and Choirs Beating Time. You will ensure high quality and consistent delivery across prisons and in the community, supporting people with convictions into employment and purposeful lives.

The role is hybrid, with time split between home working, our Birmingham or London office, and planned visits to prisons and partners. Travel expenses are covered and visits are scheduled in advance. You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.

Working closely with the CEO and COO, you will coordinate delivery activity, support Community Consultants, maintain strong relationships with prisons and partners, and use data and insight to help improve outcomes. They are responsible for maintaining accurate service user records, monitoring service upkeep, ensuring health and safety compliance, and working with multi-agency providers under governance protocols. Additionally, they contribute to developing service standards, follow policies and legislation, report maintenance issues, and undertake additional duties as required, always upholding health and safety rules and procedures.

The Community Fundraising Manager is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundrasing Team. This role is central to building relationships, engaging local communities, and driving fundraising initiatives across the region. Being based in or regularly present in Northern Ireland is essential to effectively deliver on the role’s objectives and maintain close connections with supporters and stakeholders.

In Community Fundraising we are the team that builds relationships with our supporters, families, and event participants to fundraise so that MDUK can continue to find treatments and ultimately cures through research, and to drive improvements in care and quality of life. 

In this small but close team there are four other Community Fundraising Managers covering the rest of the UK and a Senior Manager who can support you and the rest of the team in delivering an excellent supporter journey to deliver the charities aims.

You will build relationships and manage both supporters and volunteers within the local community creating an impact by maximising financial contributions and raising awareness of fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

You will need a flexible approach to your working hours as the role may require some evening and weekend work.

You will support the promotion of sustainable shopping and the shop’s social media to increase audience reach, attract customers, donors and volunteer supporters to deliver the Retail Strategy.

Role Requirements

• To maximise shop sales by achieving agreed targets both through donated stock and bought in/new goods. This involves proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed amounts and stock planning.
• Achieve Gift Aid sales conversion target through maximising new donor sign up and encouraging repeat donations.
• Achieve the shops Raffle sales targets through involving the shops team.
• To maintain high levels of shop presentation by merchandising and housekeeping to agreed standards as set out in the Shops Operations manual.
• Manage the stock levels of bought in/new goods, to include ordering of more stock as and when necessary and recording key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist in holding and attending Fundraising events to promote the awareness of The Children’s Trust.
• To source links with local communities to promote Retail in the community via media and other sources.
• Role involves a degree of manual handling in sorting and lifting of stock.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Work with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver the charity’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Board, ensuring effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
• Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.

Role Purpose: Carry out actions in support of the strategy set out in the Business Plan. Key responsibilities include: Strategy and Business Development and to lead the fundraising effort MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with the Board of Trustees to develop the overall Business Strategy

· Lead the Fundraising programme, with a target income of £100,000 + per annum new funds

· Working with the Clinical Consultant, open 5 new Leg Clubs per annum, maintaining a prospective list of 10-20 potential new launches at any one time

· Support the Educational Programme of the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation REPORTING

PERSON SPECIFICATION

GENERAL
