Role Requirements
- Your main objectives is to support the board and senior leadership team in ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe, effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term;
- Under the guidance of the Head of Risk, Audit & Governance, and in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation, coordinate and manage the implementation and ongoing development of the charity’s risk management framework; risk policies, risk appetite statement; “risk universe” and board assurance framework / assurance map;
- Undertake deep dive risk assessments and provide assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls from time to time as required by Audit & Risk Committee;
- Undertake a quarterly review of key financial controls and report findings to the Finance, Finance, Investments & Resources Committee and Audit & Risk Committee;
- Monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to SLT and trustees.
- Prepare the risk update for SLT, the board and each of its committees including risk heat maps and key risk indicators for the charity’s principal risks.
- Establish effective working relationships with other second line risk, quality and compliance functions and periodically monitor the effectiveness of their activities.
- Liaise with SLT directors to ensure departmental risk registers are in place and appropriately maintained.
- Facilitate risk workshops and provide online training on TCT’s risk management policy and procedures. Meet regularly with risk owners to review risk responses and progress with actions. Ensure there is an effective process of escalation of significant risks to SLT and trustees;

This role will be expected to deputise for the ED at external events.
Our advocacy encompasses research, policy influencing and campaigning on tech-facilitated gender-based violence, algorithmic discrimination, platform governance and other technology-related harms impacting race and gender injustice. We advocate on behalf of those excluded and ignored.

Influencing and Stakeholder Management (10%)

Operate as the deputy to the ED for representing Glitch at meetings where a senior Glitch representative is required, especially for government and ecosystem events or meetings in the UK and Europe.

Maintain our records of interactions with key individuals and organisations in our CRM system, in line with good practice around data protection and GDPR.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, you will lead on the annual budgeting and forecasting process, produce regular financial performance reports, and develop financial models to support key strategic decisions. You will ensure that the College’s leadership has access to clear, insightful analysis to guide financial and operational planning.
You will foster a culture of effective business partnering, providing expert financial advice and support to budget holders and colleagues across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the annual budgeting process and developing regular reforecasts in alignment with the College’s strategic priorities

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to support the financial accounting and compliance functions of the College.
This is an important role within the Finance team, supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring the integrity of financial information, robust financial controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Financial Accountant and wider finance team, you will take responsibility for key accounting processes including payroll, tax, treasury management, and monthly financial reconciliations. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting audit preparation, and ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the integrity of financial systems and ensuring accurate, timely accounting entries and reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Accountant in preparing key balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, investments, accruals, prepayments and deferred income
- Assisting with internal and external audit processes and the preparation of group statutory accounts
- Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supporting VAT, corporation tax and Gift Aid returns, and ensuring all submissions are completed on time
- Managing banking and treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and reconciliation of company credit cards
- Providing administrative support for finance systems, including user access and coding updates
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including system developments and process efficiency projects
Essential skills and experience:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in financial accounting or operations roles, ideally within the charity, not-for-profit or public sector
- Experience supporting statutory accounting, audit preparation, payroll, pensions and VAT returns
- Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliation processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Desirable:
- Knowledge of charity accounting and regulatory requirements, including SORP
- Experience using Business Central or similar ERP/financial systems

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenges. Alongside our own flagship events, we recruit teams for some of the UK’s best-loved sporting events, including the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The team also organise our flagship walking event, March for Men, and our Tour de France themed cycling event, the Grand Depart Classic.
As Senior Sporting Events Executive, you’ll take the operational lead in delivering income across our third-party events programme, alongside project managing our team of London Marathon runners. You’ll manage at least one Events and Community Coordinator, supporting their development and ensuring the team delivers outstanding supporter care at every stage. You’ll also play a key role in spotting and developing new opportunities within the charity events market.
This is a hands-on role covering every aspect of event delivery; from leading project meetings, setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to crafting supporter communications, managing logistics and providing on-the-day event support. You’ll also oversee post-event processes such as remittance and thanking supporters, ensuring we maximise income and provide a first-class experience for every participant.
