About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Evidence Officer, working as part of the Strategy, Impact and Evidence team.
Sustrans’ Strategy, Impact and Evidence team is a leading centre of excellence in active travel research, monitoring and evaluation and we are recruiting now. As an Evidence Officer, you will work on a range of behaviour change and infrastructure projects, providing monitoring, evaluation, and analytical support. The Strategy, Impact and Evidence teamplays an important part in supporting our vision by providing robust evidence on sustainable and active travel that ultimately influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.
Focusing on monitoring and evaluating the impact of infrastructure and behaviour change programmes, you will work on a range of projects around the UK and be involved in the planning, delivery, analysis and reporting of our monitoring and evaluation work.
We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub. There is minimal travel required in this role, however in the course of your work you may have to travel to one of the nominated hubs or project sites if required to do so.
About you
You should have demonstrable quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills, and be a competent Excel user or have working knowledge of statistical software, such as R.
As an excellent communicator in both oral and written forms, you will have with the ability to present data and findings clearly. You should also have the capability to find innovative and creative solutions to problems.
You will own some experience of project management as well as delivery of project monitoring and evaluation. You should also have some experience of working and communicating with suppliers, partners and/or clients.

About the opportunity
Dementia is the biggest health and care challenge of our time – can you help us solve it?
Our Policy Officers play a key role in deciding and driving forward Alzheimer’s Society’s positions on the major policy issues affecting people living with dementia today. They are at the heart of what Alzheimer’s Society thinks and are instrumental to our organisational messaging.
In this role, you’ll be horizon scanning the external environment, considering evidence, and engaging with stakeholders across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to inform our policy development and influencing work nationally and locally. You’ll help shape recommendations that we take right to the top decision-makers and respond to a rapidly evolving policy space.
We need a confident communicator and collaborator, a critical thinker, and ultimately a brilliant policy mind to deliver on our ambitious integrated plans for diagnosis, care and treatment (with a particular focus on diagnosis).
It’s an exciting – and crucial - time in dementia policy, with major national plans being developed across the three nations in which we work. That means this role offers the potential to achieve real change on behalf of people living with dementia.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Full time- 35 hours a week
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.
The role
In this role you will be:
· Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
· Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
· Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Full time- 35 hours a week
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.
The role
In this role you will be:
· Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
· Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
· Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
· Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.
· Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

Context and purpose of role
At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.
- Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.
- Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.
- Be responsible for managing a budget in line with programme goals and objectives.
- Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.
- Manage new and existing strategic partnerships with partner organisations and those working to improve access and reduce barriers to becoming active outdoors.
- Train and support volunteers – and promote the programme more widely.
- Provide advice and guidance to the public on path protection issues.
- Engage diverse audiences from communities facing additional barriers to getting outdoors, to senior stakeholders including funders and other strategic external partners.
- Directly deliver Path Protection events to support the continued development and co-production of the programme.

SCOPE OF WORK
1. Grantmaking Due Diligence & Onboarding

Coordinate the collection, review, and secure storage of due diligence documentation from prospective grantees.

Assist with risk screening checks and internal reviews in alignment with Purposeful’s grantmaking policies.

Prepare grantee onboarding documentation, including grant agreements and orientation materials.

Track submission of required onboarding documents (e.g., bank forms, MoUs, safeguarding policies).

2. Grant Compliance & Documentation
