About the role

The Role

MMHS is seeking a Finance Manager to lead on the production of monthly management accounts, financial forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, ICT and Investments, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity to operate as a number two to the Director and gradually increase your skillset.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting year-end financial statements

- Supporting budget holders with forecasting and financial planning

- Managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset registers

- Overseeing cashflow, banking, and investment transactions

- Supporting the audit process and ensuring compliance with HMRC and statutory requirements

The Person

You’ll be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with approx. five years’ experience in a finance or accountancy setting. If you're currently working in audit or accountancy practice and considering your first move, we’d be delighted to hear from you. You’ll be confident working independently, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a broad range of financial responsibilities.

The role

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK's largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. As a Research Advisor you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our research strategy to life.

The British Pharmacological Society is recruiting for a Finance Officer. 

What does the role involve? 

The Finance officer is a new role in the Finance team at the British Pharmacological Society. The Finance Officer will work with the Financial Controller to ensure that all aspects of finance are operated effectively and efficiently.

We are recruiting a Senior Policy Research Manager to lead WCRF’s flagship policy tools, including NOURISHING, MOVING and the Blueprint for Cancer Prevention. The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. About the Role 

BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. Some event and project management will be required, in particular supporting the delivery of seminars and training programmes, as well as community events.

The applicant will have excellent communication skills, be able to translate the stakeholders’ (Trustees/clinicians/donors/young people) needs and broadcast them to the community. They must have hands-on skills creating and designing digital, print, and social media and the confidence to put their signature on a strong communications and marketing strategy that will maximize external partnerships.

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor 

Location: South East London. The role is around 70% based within the community visiting participants and staff, then some home working and central office days in Islington as required. Kindly be aware that step free access is not available at our central office, and some of our other services.

We provide person centred care and support to our participants within the community, homes, and residential properties. We support vulnerable adults to live more independently, offering friendly outreach that helps with housing, daily living, and building self reliance.

In this role, you'll:

• Be supporting the establishment of supporting staff and participants, doing assessments, working with partners, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly by carrying out quality checks.
• Line manage, lead and support your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service. Delivering the highest standards of quality, performance, and improvements across your service.
• Be responsible for ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance is completed, and support the Service Manager in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development
• Ensure Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Manage contract and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

About the role

The Grants Officer will join our small, hardworking, friendly team and will be responsible for overseeing the monthly grants programme. They will support the Director in collating the board papers for each of the three annual Trustees’ meetings. They will also be expected to help assess the large and medium grant applications that go through to the Trustees’ meetings. The new Grants Officer will be asked to visit charities and projects, which will entail travel across England and Wales. The new Grants Officer will also maintain the grants database, be responsible for updating the new website and be the first port of call for any grant application enquiries.

About you

This role would suit a range of candidates and we are open to candidates without direct grant making experience but the successful candidate will need a demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the grants world. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have energy, enthusiasm, good communication and relationship building skills and experience and confidence with databases. An understanding of how to read charity accounts would be a bonus but training will be provided for the chosen candidate. You will have an aptitude for working both independently and as part of a collaborative team and managing a varied and busy workload.

It is essential that you have experience in gardening and food growing, as well as experience in supporting others to develop their skills and confidence in these areas. You will have excellent organisational and time-management skills, enabling you to run our Gardening Trainee Scheme effectively. Garden Maintenance and Development

• Ensure the rooftop garden is well-maintained, attractive, and productive year-round.

• Develop and deliver seasonal planting plans, including food growing for use in Providence Row’s kitchen.

• Manage garden budgets, materials, and equipment responsibly.

• Oversee health and safety in the garden, ensuring safe practice for clients, volunteers, and visitors.

Learning and Client Engagement

• Facilitate the Gardening Trainee Scheme, supporting participants to gain skills, confidence, and progression opportunities.

• Deliver structured learning sessions and contribute to accredited training programmes.

• Support trainees with portfolio development and evidence gathering where required.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure clients with complex needs can engage meaningfully and safely in gardening activities.

Volunteers and Partnerships

• Supervise and support individual volunteers in the garden.

• Facilitate corporate volunteer challenges and group sessions.

• Work closely with the Catering team to align food growing with kitchen needs.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Collect and share monitoring information with the Progression & Training Manager.

• Contribute to reports for funders, partners, and stakeholders.

Other

• Contribute occasionally to organisation-wide events and activities.
