Westway Trust are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children Services Manager with a track record of managing a Good or Outstanding Oftsed rated Early Years’ service, who will be committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of children in the North Kensington community.
This role is key to positioning the Trust as a provider of affordable, vital and culturally appropriate services. Reporting to the Senior Manager Learning, you will lead and manage on all aspects of the Trust’s nursery and crèche services, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are met. You will manage a team of full and part-time staff and will build strong partnerships with families and the local community. You will be a confident communicator working closely with statutory regulators, commissioners, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Manage the staff team to deliver the Nursery and Crèche services.
- Liaison with all relevant members of staff to ensure maximising the team’s opportunities for employment, personal and professional development and organisational engagement.
- Develop, monitor and review activities to ensure high standards of childcare and learning.
- Quality assure and develop and improve services to maintain and improve our Ofsted position.
- Attend budget planning with the finance team to ensure a full understanding of the budget; good budget management and a strong out-turn in line with the growth strategy.
- Keep appropriate records of all children and account for their social and individual developmental needs.
- Monitor and report against the delivery objectives of the service providing observation and feedback to Nursery and Crèche workers so that they can improve their own direct planning and delivery and qualifications.
- Provide data as required for reporting internally to your line manager and through the Trusts Governance, and externally.
Qualification:
- Relevant qualification in childcare at a minimum Level 4.
- Safeguarding (desirable)
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a Nursery with experience of all the relevant duties, monitoring, reporting and quality improvement.
- Experience of being the main contact for Ofsted.
- A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnerships, growth, and achieve joint success.
- Strong experience of planning ahead, scheduling, attention to detail and problem solving.
- Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of writing reports.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding.
- Experience of delivering a service that demonstrates an understanding of different cultures.
- An understanding of the issues facing North Kensington and a track record of working alongside beneficiary communities (desirable)

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Community Action to join our senior management team and lead one of our core service areas.
This is an exciting and important role within our work, continually shaped by the needs and priorities of the communities we work alongside. Renewed Hope is a local charity based in Redhill providing practical solutions and emotional support to the homeless, vulnerable and isolated of East Surrey..
Renewed Hope is currently seeking two experienced support and recovery workers to support our guests. One post is full time (37.5 hours p.w.£27,518 p.a.) and the other part time (19 hrs p.w. - pay pro rata of full time salary)
Renewed Hope offers support to rough sleepers and homeless people in crisis, and housed people suffering the effects of isolation and poverty.
The post holders will be working with guests in both our Drop-in and in our 4 bed supported house (Hope House), but will take a lead responsibility in one or the other of these projects.

Drop in:
- Welcome and assess first time guests, identifying priority needs.
- Signpost and support guests to access key statutory and voluntary services , including housing, benefits, homelessness services etc
- Provide practical support and advice to guests , for example with application forms, bill enquiries, budgeting
- Identify and action any immediate or emerging safeguarding concerns. Maintain and build links with all relevant partner agencies and multi-agency networks (eg Local Authorities, outreach teams, probation teams, Drug and Alcohol recovery, mental health etc
Hope House:
- Assist in the process of vetting the suitability of potential residents and support them with their transition in/out of Hope House
- Ensure tailored support plans (using Homeless Outcomes Star) are in place for each resident
- Support and ensure ongoing adherence to licence agreements and processes- including issuing warnings, behavioural contracts, rent collection notice papers etc
- Oversee the safe and efficient running of Hope House, taking into account any relevant Supported Housing/ HMO specific requirements
- Complete and record regular inspections of individual rooms and shared spaces, ensuring conditions are maintained to expected standards.
- Ensure required health and safety checks are carried out, including alarm testing and gas servicing
Person Specification :
- Eligibility to Work in the UK – British passport/Birth certificate or visa. We are unable to accept sponsorship applications
- Educated to Level 3 (A-level standard)
- Previous experience working with homeless and other vulnerable people

The role:
As part of the Creative Content team, the role holder is responsible for the effective management, planning, guidance and quality control within the design team, ensuring alignment with brand standards and IRUK strategic goals. JOB DESCRIPTION
Mentor Co-ordination (recruitment, onboarding, supervision and support)
- Collaborate with and support the Programme Delivery team to design and deliver bespoke training for mentors, both online and face-to-face.
- Lead on the recruitment, onboarding, and training of mentors, working with programme delivery team to deliver a seamless mentor journey.
- Partner with the MarComms team to coordinate communications with volunteering partners and mentors about online and face-to-face opportunities. Lead and coordinate the full mentor journey in collaboration with MarComms, including recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Co-develop and uphold robust volunteer policies and procedures with Operations and HR, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and legislation (including safeguarding, child protection, risk management, health and safety, and data protection). Coordinate with HR on implementation, including DBS, right-to-work, and reference checks.
- Encourage best practice sharing across the volunteer community, fostering collaboration and peer learning.
- Lead on recognition and celebration of mentors, including national campaign days, showcasing their contribution to TDA’s work.
- Act as the key interface for external programme enquiries and represent TDA as an ambassador.
- Work in close partnership with Programme Facilitators to track attendance, engagement, and outcomes for mentors, ensuring reflective practice and continuous learning are embedded throughout the mentor journey.
- Act as the key support person for mentors and Programme Delivery staff, ensuring both groups feel equipped, valued, and able to deliver programme aims and outcomes
Cross-organisation working & sharing learning
- Work with the programme delivery team to design, deliver, and review programmes, ensuring best practice in mentor support during sessions and upskilling staff where needed.
- Lead mentor recruitment and retention strategies, creating diverse opportunities to keep mentors engaged and connected to TDA’s wider strategy.
- Collaborate with fundraising and corporate partners to develop and grow partnerships that strengthen mentor engagement and support TDA’s mission.
- Innovate mentor engagement by using technology to broaden opportunities, enhance communication, and ensure effective volunteer data management.
- Champion the role of mentors internally, ensuring staff understand and maximise their contribution to TDA’s impact and strategy.
General Safeguarding Duties
- Ensure robust safeguarding practice, including responding appropriately to concerns about young people or adults involved in the programme and maintaining accurate records in line with legal requirements and TDA’s safeguarding policies.
- Equip and support mentors on safeguarding, ensuring they understand policies and procedures through training and ongoing guidance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and abuse issues, applying new developments to strengthen practice across the programme.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience of volunteer management (experience working with corporate volunteers is a bonus)
- A proven track record in designing and delivering effective and engaging training to volunteers
- Knowledge and experience in safeguarding and child protection (or willingness to undertake training)
- Experience of writing clear, concise and engaging policies and procedures
- A demonstrable understanding of the role of youth work in contributing to positive outcomes for young people and different models of delivery

ActionAid UK (AAUK) is a complex, values- driven organisation which is implementing an exciting new 2025-2028 strategy with one overarching goal:

Alongside the strategy, a transformation and innovation programme will embed a fundamental shift in the way the organisation operates, involving significant and sustainable changes to its culture, systems and practises. Transformative change at AAUK means change that is fundamental, lasting, and which challenges existing internal and external structural inequalities. A priority is to change the way we currently approach monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) at an organisational level, looking specifically at how we assess change and impact across our yearly organisational plans and within the four-year strategy.
AAUK is seeking a qualified consultant or a company to collaboratively design, develop and deliver a new approach to capturing change and impact at ActionAid UK, moving the organisation away from traditional types of metrics and methods.
We are looking for you to conduct a light-touch review of our current organisational methods and tools and develop a new organisational transformative change framework, training workshop and action plan. We would like this consultancy to:
- Develop an approach to capturing transformative change and impact over time which captures gradual/incremental or exponential changes.
- Capture systematic changes and shifts in thinking and behaviour/culture
- Enable staff to feel confident to gather and interpret evidence of change alongside diverse experiences including their own
- Enable AAUK to capture collective contributions to change, recognising that no single action or individual makes change happen.
- Help us use the information we gather to inform and improve our work and better understand our unique role within the complex ecosystem of organisations and partnerships in which we work.
Objectives of the assignment
- Review and support the transformation of our organisational monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes to align with our new strategy and decolonial approach.
- Develop an organisational transformative change framework/toolkit and action plan, enabling staff to confidently capture impact over time and foster a culture of innovation, learning and accountability across the organisation.
Deliverables
The consultant / firm will work in collaboration with colleagues from AAUK Leadership and Transformation teams to:
- Create a plan and methodology that is aligned to our strategic objectives, decolonial approach and transformation activities.
- Conduct a light-touch process review, including desk research and conversations with key members of staff – to understand our current organisational monitoring and reporting processes, methods and tools.
- Develop a new Transformative Change organisational framework/toolkit which includes methods and tools for measuring change at organisational and team level and establishes a baseline from which we can improve and which captures both successes and challenges.
- Develop a staff training workshop on the new framework and tools.
- Provide a workplan with future recommendations and actions.

- At least 5 years of experience working on MEAL system design and implementation in the INGO or development sector.
- Experience of working with WROs or social rights movements.
- Strong knowledge of innovative qualitative and quantitative MEAL methodologies.
- Experience in participatory approaches and facilitating organisational learning.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
