In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in Dot Dot Dot’s impact in London and beyond. Your primary responsibility will be to create the materials that help us win new contracts and partnerships. Key Responsibilities

As Programme Administrator, you will provide high-level administrative support to both faculty and students, ensuring the smooth operation of courses and programmes within the department. Key areas of responsibility include:

The Literacy Pirates is on an exciting journey of growth, rolling out our innovative learning programmes to reach more children than ever before. We are seeking a motivated, target-driven School Partnerships Manager to lead the recruitment and stewardship of schools into our programmes. In the next five years we want to increase the number of school partnerships from 40 to 150.
This role is ideal for someone with sales, marketing, or recruitment experience who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and meeting ambitious targets. Direct experience working in schools is not essential (though beneficial). You will be confident selling on the phone, presenting to senior leaders, and ensuring excellent partner experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver Literacy Pirates’ recruitment strategy, working to clear targets that align with our organisational growth strategy.

Proactively identify and pursue new school leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and events.

Confidently pitch our programmes to headteachers and senior leaders, both over the phone and in person.

Manage the Partnership Officer to create a pipeline of prospective schools, tracking progress through a CRM and reporting on success.

Deliver excellent stewardship and account management, maximising retention and strengthening long-term partnerships.

Collaborate with the Communications Manager to design and deliver marketing campaigns, digital content, and promotional materials that support recruitment.

Represent Literacy Pirates at events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise our profile.

Work with the wider team to improve systems and processes that support recruitment and partnership management.

Monitor and evaluate recruitment and retention outcomes, providing regular reporting against agreed KPIs.

Ensure safeguarding is central to all partnership activity, upholding Literacy Pirates’ safeguarding and data protection policies at all times.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our mental health charity, to support and deliver effective, efficient financial processes and compliance with financial regulations and data protection to ensure the smooth and effective running of the organisation.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will involve managing financial transactions and reconciliation, maintaining accurate project records, supporting the production of management accounts, costing new work, budgeting and reporting as well as overseeing payroll.
You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting mental health research. Attention to detail, an administrative mind and a compassionate communicator are vital to this role as well as the ability to use your initiative and manage your own workload. Every day will be different, with the opportunity for you to develop your skills and support our projects.
This post would ideally suit someone with excellent financial administration skills and project management experience. The post holder will also need to have knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks accounting software

What you’ll be doing:
¨ Be an effective manager, line managing our Volunteering and Community Engagement teams with passion, creativity and purpose.
¨ Working with local partner organisations, building relationships whilst exploring possible funding/joint working/event opportunities, and supporting the teams to make sure they are best placed to have the biggest impact for the people we enable and empower.
¨ Develop and maintain strategic community engagement relationships across the county, in collaboration with Senior Managers, including those with Local Area Committees (LAC)/Neighbourhood Area Committees, and with the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector infrastructure organisation in each area (for example, Voluntary Action Surrey East) as well as those working across the county including Surrey Community Action, Surrey Youth Focus, Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum, and Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.
¨ Organise and facilitate our Breaking Down Barriers Workshops, and other similar initiatives inspiring change and inclusion across Surrey.
¨ Drive forward our volunteering and engagement strategies—shaping policies, streamlining processes, and ensuring our work reflects best practice and legislation.
¨ Working with colleagues in other teams to create a culture where community engagement is at the heart of everything we do.
¨ Using innovation and creativity to design and deliver new projects focussed on community engagement, and maximising community participation for those we support.
¨ Promoting and demonstrating a strengths-based, asset based community development approach, to ensure the people we support have the opportunities to be involved in all aspects of our work and in the community.
¨ Ability to work flexibly according to the business need, which will include organising and attending community engagement events during the evening and at weekends.
We’re seeking someone who has the following skills:
- Direct experience of line managing a team of staff and providing team leadership
- Relevant experience in the management of a volunteering programme, or extensive experience of directly managing volunteers with the ability to step up into this role
- Knowledge and understanding of volunteering best practice, strategy and policy
- Demonstrable experience of community engagement projects, working directly with beneficiaries and in building relationships with partner organisations
- Planning and organisational skills, including ability to plan, prioritise and deliver a complex workload
- Strong presentation skills, sufficient to deliver engaging training to staff and volunteers
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written, and ability to relate well to people from all backgrounds
- Experience using Microsoft Office and confident in using a database
- Understanding of data protection requirements and confidentiality
- Able to champion the role and contribution of volunteers
- Ability to engage and influence colleagues
