We are recruiting four part-time Regional Support Officers to work across Wales, providing direct support to eligible community groups and social enterprises through our membership services and programmes, and helping to nurture and connect the network of groups in each area.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and well-connected people who have direct experience of, and a passion for, the social and community business sector in Wales, and who have experience of running, developing and/or supporting community groups and enterprises. We need dynamic communicators, and people who can build relationships between groups and with key partners.
We want people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences who can contribute to a pan-Wales team of Support Officers, supporting community groups, social enterprises and development trusts who are driving the change their communities need for a brighter future.

We are seeking three dedicated and experienced Practice Consultants to join our team and help deliver transformative fostering support across the North East, North West England and Scotland.
This is a unique opportunity to drive improvements in fostering practice and positively impact the lives of children and young people in care.

About the Role
As a Practice Consultant, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team delivering services in Advice, Advocacy and Mediation, Training, and Practice Consultancy. Your work will contribute to our mission to empower, enrich, and support the relationships at the heart of the fostering community.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality training and consultancy services to fostering providers and carers.
- Support the development of fostering policy and practice across the UK.
- Champion trauma-informed, child-centred, and solution-focused approaches.
- Contribute to our publications, resources, and events.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support membership engagement.
About You
We are looking for passionate professionals with:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., social work) or substantial fostering experience.
- Experience in training, mediation, and advocacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A sound understanding of fostering legislation and practice.
- Confidence in working both independently and collaboratively.
- A flexible and proactive attitude to travel and service delivery.

Light Up Learning is a Scottish charity providing bespoke support for high school students. We are dedicated to igniting a love of learning in young people and transforming the nature of education in Scotland.
Our programme aims to address issues of unequal access to education and disengagement in the classroom by creating low-stress, supportive, and playful learning environments for young people who have experienced disadvantage. This role will report directly to the Chair with a dotted line to our Founder, and will manage the relationship with the Consultant we have engaged to write grant applications.
