Office of General Assembly is the central administrative office of our denomination supporting the mission and ministry of all churches. The finance team, based in London, is responsible for the financial management of the United Reformed Church Trust’s resources by maintaining accounting records and preparing annual accounts.

In this role you will have responsibility to administer the operation of the Payments Ledger system ensuring timely and correct processing of payments and expenses authorised by budget holders and to perform the weekly payment runs. You will be setting up new supplier accounts, answer any queries related to payments and maintaining accurate records of receipts and payments.

You will be educated to A level with experience of working with databases. An AAT qualification would be advantageous. You have excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to liaise and interact with people in a variety of roles across the Church. The ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential. You will be able to manage your own workload through effective prioritising and organisation. Office administrative experience within a finance or banking context would be advantageous.

RSPB Scotland is seeking someone to lead the way in our ambition to raise and manage funding for the vital restoration of Scotland’s peatlands, to benefit biodiversity, the climate and communities.

This role will focus on ensuring that a pipeline of peatland restoration funding routes, including funding applications, bids, and expressions of interest, are identified, developed, submitted, and managed, to secure financial support from various sources (public and private). You will be responsible for making sure that project owners are aware of and adhere to all contractual requirements, prepare regular funding reports and work with partners to solve potential problems.

You will be expected to check and submit budgets, make financial claims and update income and project spreadsheets. You will work with RSPB teams and external stakeholders to identify and manage novel funding routes and opportunities to support the Scotland Peatland Programme, acting as a liaison between them and peatland project teams. In addition, you will play a central role of support to peatland teams developing projects for the IUCN Peatland Code, providing funding guidance and expertise and being responsible for ensuring documents are developed and submitted to ensure successful project validation.

This role will sit within the RSPB Scotland Fundraising team and will work closely with the Scotland Peatland Programme, and as such it requires someone who is independently motivated and able to manage potentially conflicting priorities. We will facilitate visits to RSPB peatland reserves across Scotland to help you understand the specifics of restoration on each site.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Evidence of ability to build strong relationships with a range of teams to deliver key results
• Highly proficient in managing multiple workstreams and deadlines, communicating priorities clearly and updating decision makers.

Job Summary

The Senior IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. The role will combine overseeing the provision of the Duty IDVA service, along with managing a reduced caseload.

You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.

You will line manage the Duty Workers and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.

You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

The role involves supporting the Payroll Manager in preparing the monthly payroll on schedule, handling additional payments and deductions, and stepping in to run payroll processing when needed. Responsibilities also include monitoring expense claims to ensure they are properly documented, advising staff and managers on payroll and timesheet issues, ensuring timely completion of timesheets across the organization, and performing other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To achieve this, we are seeking to appoint a Lead Worker for the Irish Traveller cohort to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive project in a safe, industrious, and supportive environment, working primarily with this community.

The project provides the following for Irish Traveller young people 11-19 years old including;

• A weekly girls’ workshop
• Targeted mentoring and support - helping them to stay in education, enrol in college, seek work opportunities, and access additional support services.
• Off-site holiday activities

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Plan and deliver an innovative, progressive programme of activities, developed in collaboration with young people and colleagues.
• Create safe, supportive spaces that foster personal and social development.
• Deliver 1 to1 and group support sessions through a variety of methods (in-person, phone, digital), providing advice, guidance, mentoring, and signposting to other services.
• Organise trips, workshops, and positive activities in line with the project delivery plan.

Project & Partnership Management

• Lead the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the project.
• Develop and manage partnerships with schools, local agencies, and trusted community stakeholders.
• Represent YAA at borough, London-wide, and partnership meetings to champion Traveller young people’s voices.
• Manage project budgets, expenditure records, and ensure assets and equipment are safeguarded.

Action for Stammering Children is the national charity for children and young people who stammer, their families and the communities who support them.

We exist to ensure that every child who stammers has the support, respect and confidence to live the life they want to lead.

Founded in 1989, we provide support and information to young people, families and professionals; champion research into childhood stammering; and campaign for policy and societal change. 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced community manager enthusiastic about engaging our supporters, volunteers and fundraisers. In this role, you will be responsible for community outreach; effectively communicating our brand identity to help us  build and cultivate our supporter base. Adapting the charity’s message for a range of internal and external audiences will be second nature to you. You will be passionate about working closely with volunteers to inform our strategic direction and advocacy efforts. You will bring with you experience of implementing strategic communications,  with knowledge of email marketing, paid-for advertising and social media.  

In a typical week, you might be working with a member of our Youth Panel or Stambassador Network to create content for an upcoming outreach campaign or preparing them for a media appearance. You may be liaising with some of our community fundraisers as they prepare for their upcoming challenge event, and working with the CEO on communicating the impact of our various projects.
