As Legal Advisor, you will join the Risk and Assurance team, part of our Finance & Assurance directorate. Our vision is to be the Society’s single point of truth. Liaising with stakeholders, you will provide advice and guidance on commercial, contract, and property-related legal matters, helping to shape risk-informed decision-making.
About you
Joining us, you will have a legal background with a legal qualification and be 3+ PQE. 

- You will be a good communicator with the interpersonal skills required to build relationships and form trust and respect throughout the organisation.
- You can absorb and understand the legal issues deriving from the operations of a large and complex organisation, whilst also providing pragmatic and user-friendly legal advice and support, including ad hoc oral advice.
- You can work collaboratively and deliver successful joint outcomes in potentially time-sensitive situations.
- While you may be allocated specific areas of the business to support or asked to focus on areas of legal specialism, you should have a sufficiently broad understanding of commercial legal matters to be able to provide guidance and support across all areas of general law, particularly contracts.

What you’ll focus on:

- Providing pragmatic, timely, clear legal advice, guidance and support to internal clients on all general legal matters.
- Drafting, reviewing and amending contractual documentation in a manner that is proportionate to the scale and risk of the transaction and to ensure it is compliant with the law, regulations and guidance as well as the Society’s internal policies and procedures.

Role summary 

Join the leading UK charity dedicated to supporting babies born premature, to lead a new programme of work in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive programme lead or project manager to lead engagement with healthcare teams and parents/carers across Wales to improve care for babies across 9 neonatal units, focussing especially on babies who face the biggest challenges.

Every year in Wales, around 2800 babies are born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby. Many of these babies, and their families, will face inequalities which relate to their ethnicity, or their socio-economic disadvantage.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for someone with the skills for engagement and project management to join team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help lead an exciting new programme of work, to understand the needs of parents and healthcare teams across Wales, to increase reach and impact in the country.
 

• Location: Based in Wales and able to travel to 9 neonatal units across the country. We expect at least 1-2 visits to each unit in the fixed term of the contract

Role details

TBliss has recently been awarded a one-year grant from the Welsh Government to deliver a programme of work to support and drive neonatal service transformation across the country. In line with Bliss new 4-year strategy, this programme will work with neonatal healthcare professionals across the 9 neonatal units in Wales, support families whose babies need this vital care, and include research and policy work to improve care across the country.

The programme lead will coordinate the work of this programme, which will be managed by teams across Bliss, and lead on the engagement of parents and healthcare teams across Wales. During the 12 months of the funding agreement, to the end of September 2026, the programme will:
•Raise awareness of and access to Bliss’ information and support for parents
•Support all neonatal units to progress through Bliss’ Baby Charter standards
•Undertake service-user involvement work to inform the development of a new digital parent support service
•Undertake engagement work with health professionals to inform training and the development of resources to support the delivery of Family Integrated Care (FICare)
•Carry out a policy research project on neonatal inequalities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

•Proven ability to build effective internal and external relationships with a range of stakeholders
•Strong experience of project management, able to juggle multiple priorities and coordinate with others to deliver activities on time and to budget

You will be part of the ambitious puppy team, developing, coordinating, and supporting the puppy training programme. You will have the opportunity to work with and train volunteers in the appropriate care and training of Canine Partners’ puppies. You will work with puppies from eight-weeks to approximately 15-months old, ensuring they receive appropriate socialisation and training before entering our assistance dog training, giving them the foundations to learn how to be life-changing assistance dogs, bringing greater independence and quality of life to people with physical disabilities. A proactive approach is key to maintaining the welfare and behavioural standards for the puppies. All training at Canine Partners follows best practice, positive reinforcement methods and this role is an ambassador for this approach.
 
About you:

• Experience of working with puppies.

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Regional Fundraiser to join our rewarding and growing team. This is an exciting role, which would suit someone looking to build and develop their relationship fundraising or broaden their sector experience in a major national charity.
From multi-year partnerships and supporters, right through to managing volunteers and raising awareness in our communities, the team you join is talented, fast-paced and on a mission to create a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.  The successful candidate will be able to deliver first-class relationship and account management, maximising retention as well as driving opportunities to secure new income within Kent (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery).

This is a homeworking role. You will be required to travel across Kent to meet supporters regularly and occasionally attend internal meetings at locations across the country, including our flagship offices (London, Birmingham, Warrington, and Belfast). You must reside in the UK and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK.

We’re looking for a creative and hands-on communications all-rounder to support Climate Spring across digital, brand, marketing, events and general communications.

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Communications and Events as well as the Development and Events Coordinator, helping to deliver and evolve the organisation’s communications strategy. The post holder will also support communications and content creation for Climate Spring's Climate Fiction Prize, a new literary prize celebrating novels tackling the climate crisis.

This is a broad and varied role ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent copywriting skills and experience across digital, social media, website and brand management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

‍Digital and Content:

• Maintain and update the Climate Spring website (Webflow).
• Draft, edit and publish content across a variety of channels, including website, social media, newsletters and events copy.
• Support the management of Climate Spring's social media channels and calendars; create and post content.
• Lead on compiling and gathering content for Climate Spring’s monthly community newsletter.
• Support social media output for the Climate Fiction Prize as needed.

‍Brand and Marketing:

• Act as brand guardian alongside the Head of Communications and Events, ensuring consistency across all communications outputs and materials.
• Support the design and production of assets for Climate Spring and the Climate Fiction Prize using Canva (social posts, invites, presentations, event materials).
• Keep up with branding and marketing trends and suggest fresh approaches to drive engagement and community building across channels.

Events Communications:

• Support the promotion and communications around Climate Spring events (in-person, online and partner-led)
• Working with the Development and Events Coordinator to manage and send out event invites, manage RSVPs and event follow-ups.
• Support the promotion and marketing for Climate Spring’s workshops and training offerings.
• Help identify and coordinate new event opportunities.
• Attend Climate Spring events (in-person and online), take photos and cover on socials as required.

Reporting and  Admin:

• Track and report on communications activities, including press coverage, social, newsletter and website analytics to optimise impact and reach.
• Assist with general communications, events and marketing planning.
• Manage and maintain mailing lists (newsletter list, press lists).
• Maintain and share the communications and events calendar.

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA AND SKILLS:

• Proven experience in a busy comms, digital, marketing or public affairs role (agency or in-house).
• Excellent copywriting skills across web, social and editorial.
• Strong visual eye for branding and attention to detail.
• Experience of creating engaging social media content tailored to different platforms.
• Experience with CMS management (Webflow preferred).
• Highly organised with strong project and time management skills.
• Confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent administrative and IT skills.

ADDITIONAL HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Design experience (Adobe Creative Suite/Canva).
• Video editing skills (especially for social media formats).
• Experience with e-marketing tools (e.g. Campaign Monitor).
• Familiarity with social and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms like Hootsuite/Buffer).
• Experience in digital marketing and running and tracking paid social media ads.
• Knowledge of the film/TV/creative industries is a plus.
