About the role 

The Community Fundraising Team at Parkinson’s UK is dedicated to supporting thousands of individuals, groups and local businesses to fundraise across the UK. 

As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll play a key role in strengthening these connections, identifying and cultivating new local partnership opportunities,  in generating leads and inspiring others to fundraise for people living with Parkinson’s.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise local support, provide exceptional stewardship and achieve financial targets in line with the community fundraising strategy.

• Proactively identify and build partnerships with local companies, networks and community organisations to grow and build a sustainable pipeline.

• Actively support, motivate and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring opportunities realise their full potential and key supporters are retained.

• Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising activities such as local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson’s event series.

• Lead in developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and collaborating with central teams.

• Collaborate with your local Community team to  promote best practice and encourage the sharing of ideas.

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles of the following fundraising disciplines: community, corporate and events. 

• Experience of identifying and managing successful community and corporate partnerships to achieve agreed income and long term engagement.

This role supports the day centre team in delivering a rolling activity programme, fostering a safe and engaging environment for service users. It involves creating and reviewing person-centered support plans using the recovery approach, facilitating access to medical and community services, and minimizing hospital admissions for mental health relapse. This is a pivotal senior leadership role within Dementia UK, responsible for shaping and delivering the charity’s UK-wide policy and public affairs strategy to drive meaningful change for people affected by dementia.

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will lead a dynamic team, providing strategic direction and expert insights to ensure the organisation’s influencing work is impactful, evidence-based, and aligned with its 2025–2030 strategy.

The postholder will play a central role in positioning Dementia UK as a thought leader in dementia care, championing the role of Admiral Nurses and ensuring that the lived experiences of people with dementia and their families are embedded in all policy outputs and public affairs activity.

Working closely with the Deputy Director of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs, and the Head of Campaigns, the postholder will lead the development and implementation of integrated influencing strategies across the UK, recognising the nuances of devolved governments and regional contexts. They will build and maintain relationships with high impact stakeholders in parliament, government, and across the sector to secure tangible policy improvements in dementia care and support.

To be successful in this role, you will bring significant experience working within policy and public affairs with proven experience of leading policy development from evidence-gathering through to publication and implementation. You will have a proven ability to lead, inspire and manage teams alongside a deep understanding of UK health and social care systems, including devolved policy landscapes in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We are a small but growing team of lawyers, communications experts, and campaigners. Our work is global, and we work in partnership with lawyers, civil society, unions, and people impacted by Big Tech.

The role

As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. You’ll work across Foxglove and closely with leadership, as well as with external partners to build a resilient and well-governed organisation, able to manage growth and complexity while staying mission driven. This role manages one member of staff and multiple consultants. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial Management & Accounting

1.Oversee financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure controls, financial reporting, payroll.

We are looking for a Legacy and Administration Manager to join our Finance and Operations team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). This role will report to the Director of Finance and Operations. 

Job Purpose

Legacies are one of the most vital sources of income for Operation Smile UK, helping us continue our work supporting patients with cleft around the world. We’re now looking for a Legacy Administration Manager to join our dedicated team and ensure that every gift left to the charity is managed with care, professionalism, and in line with the wishes of our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residuary, specific, and reversionary legacy cases from initiation to completion, optimising income while upholding all legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism with executors, solicitors, and beneficiaries’ families, including handling enquiries and confirming receipt of legacy notifications.
• Review estate documentation and valuations, determine the charity’s entitlement, and verify that all due funds are correctly received.
• Ensure that all relevant charity tax reliefs are properly applied for, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax appropriations, and Income Tax (form R185).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy income and correspondence within OSUK’s CRM system and Finance Tracker.
• Track the status of ongoing cases, pursue outstanding actions, and take prompt steps to address issues or disputes as they arise.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as Finance, Supporter Care, and Partnerships—to promote strong stewardship and compliance.
• Refer or escalate complex or high-impact matters to the Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager when necessary.
• Contribute to team meetings, process improvements, and the development of best practice.

Person Specification

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly and sensitively, both in writing and verbally.

· Proven experience in legacy administration within the charity sector or in probate and estate law.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Kent, Sussex, or Surrey area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London office.

You will lead and manage a large-scale, multi-organisation piece of research aiming to highlight the impact of our programmes. You will play a key role in ensuring the main research project and any supplementary research projects are delivered efficiently and ethically. You will use data and evidence to inform practice and work closely with the Programme Specialist for Pilots and the wider Quality and Impact Team as required.  Additionally, you will project manage additional cross-organisational projects as required in support of our growing charity. 

This is role is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. 

Travel throughout the UK may be required.   

You will report to the Head of Quality and Impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

· You will be accountable for the oversight of the main research and any supplementary research projects from initiation to completion.

· You will collaborate with the Programme Specialist for Pilots and the Associate Director of Business Development to ensure delivery of the research and ensure alignment and fidelity to the research plan.

· You will work with the Head of Quality and Impact and Finance Team to ensure that the project/s meet agreed objectives, timelines and budgets. 

· You will support the development of project documentation. 

· You will deliver reports and presentations as required both internally and externally from DFN Project SEARCH to share information regarding the research project. 

· You will be accountable for collecting, analysing and reporting on data that is relevant to the organisation.

Key details

BIAS’s welfare and housing advice service supports members of the local Irish community and beyond with a range of complex issues, including disability benefits, pensions, Universal Credit, Irish passports, homelessness, rehousing, tenancy sustainment and disrepair. We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic person who has a background or demonstrable interest in advice, welfare or housing to join our friendly advice team. Your role will involve contributing to the establishment, expansion and day-to-day running of BIAS’s advice service in Haringey borough, providing specialist advice on welfare and housing via one-to-one client appointments, completing casework and advocating for positive outcomes for your clients.

You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, clients and partners, an aptitude for working independently, excellent organisational skills and the ability to digest complex briefs. You will be required to manage an active caseload, ensuring that cases are appropriately actioned and recorded and that deadlines are met. You will work with the Advice Services Manager to build and develop the new advice service in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal client base.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

• Contributing to monitoring service delivery and recording client outcomes.

These are the basic duties required of the Welfare and Housing Adviser. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice venues in  Haringey[1], with some presence required at our main office in Willesden and some options for flexible working (i.e. one or two days per week).

[1] BIAS is currently running its Haringey advice services from the Hornsey Vale Community Centre, with plans to expand into additional venues in the borough later in 2025.
