Job Title: Production Supervisor

Salary Range: £32- 36,000 (FTE) per annum (Dependent on experience)

Hours/Days per week: 37.5 hour per week, 8.5 hours per day (between 8am - 8pm). Monday – Saturday (5 days on, 2 days off). Operating hours to start with for the operation will be Monday - Friday 8am – 6pm.

About The Felix Project 

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job  

We are looking for the Production Supervisor to play a key role in our brand-new Production team under project ‘Unit 17’.  

You will be the on the ground senior leading the teams in the daily tasks to be completed, working as the connection between the management team and the team members and volunteers. Working hands on within all the production lines, leading by example and supporting the team across the operation. 

This is an operational role, mainly based on the production floor but with a range of reporting and administrative tasks involved. You will report into the Production Manager and work closely with them on the day to day running of the unit as well as supporting covering their duties when they are away.

You will be supervising and supporting the teams to deliver on each day’s production targets as well as ensuring that all rules and HACCAP plans are followed correctly, providing real time feedback to the management team on any issues and resolutions taken.

More about Unit 17 

In early/mid 2025, we opened our second production facility as part of the Coronation Food Project. The Coronation Food Project was set up to celebrate His Majesty King Charles 75th birthday and seeks to bridge the gap between food waste and food need across the UK. 

We will be taking in surplus food from our supplier network and creating a range of products which have added value and extended shelf life.  A particular focus will be seasonal produce gluts, using ingredients which we may otherwise not be able to redistribute.  

Using four key processes (re-packaging, jarring / preserving, dehydrating and freezing), we will create a range of products which will be used in these three main ways:  

• Distributed to our partner community organisations as ‘ready to eat’ or ‘easy to use’ products for their service users - always delicious, achieving relevant safety standards and meeting the needs of the eventual end user. 

• Used in the East London Central Production Unit (CPU) to support creating Felix Ready Meals.  

• Used in Unit 17 in the creation of other products (for example frozen produce later used to make jarred sauces or preserves) 

A typical day at Unit 17 will likely include planning new product/s based on the ingredients available that day, agreeing relevant food safety requirements and working in line with this, working with the production team and volunteers to prepare, produce and package delicious products, planning for future products and project work.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time.  

• Day to day supervision of the operations team, with a hands-on supportive approach 

• Liaising closely with the management team on the targets and goals for each production cycle

• Support in the delivery of all required H&S, Food Safety and HACCAP requirements and reporting on these areas

• Working with all internal stake holders across the departments at the Felix Project 

• Feeding into the reporting and delivery of the units stated KPI’s and production goals

• Ensuring that the equipment is always being used productively and correctly

• Taking a leading role in the training of the staff and volunteer teams

• Responsible for the operational record keeping and due diligence paperwork being used correctly

• Reporting any operational issues or challenges faced in a timely and open manner 

• Ensuring all team members are completing their duties across the operation, including the production space, office spaces, urban farm and any other relevant areas.

This is a brand new and unique operation and requires someone with experience and an openness to creating and delivering on a new project. Someone who believes in the mission we have as an organisation and wants to put their experience and knowledge into a mission driven project.  We believe in an upbeat and enjoyable working environment but one that is driven to meet our targets and strategic goals.

Whilst previous experience and knowledge within food production is essential, we are looking for someone who wants to grow into the role and be able to develop themselves and their knowledge whilst we develop this new operation.

Essential Criteria 

• Experience within a food production operation or similar

• Comfortable with all relevant aspects of Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures in a food manufacturing environment 

• Previous experience working to and reporting on HACCAP plans 

• Clear eye for detail, team player, enjoys the work they do and a strong work ethic. 

• Strong people skills, a positive attitude and belief in an ethical, equitable and enjoyable working environment.

• Comfortable in working in a fast changing and growing work environment. 

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

• Intermediate computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable skills/knowledge relevant to this role

You will work in our Aspire Team to further develop specialist youth work provision in Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire, supporting young people’s emotional well-being and helping them to overcome challenge and develop social skills. • Build positive relationships with autistic children and young people through different programme activities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. 

The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.  
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team. 
• Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;  
• Work with and manage relationships with individual and institutional donors, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee; 
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies; 
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe. 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• At least 6-8 years’ experience working in a similar role. 
• Experience working in an international business environment. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Excellent attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• A track record of managing transactions or projects that required multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
• A quick learner who is able to adapt easily
• Proficiency in one other European language preferred.

Background
Bipolar UK’s mission is to build a better world together for everyone affected by bipolar; this includes both people living with the condition and their close friends, colleagues and family. To achieve this ambition we need to speed up diagnosis rates and ensure everyone with bipolar has the appropriate care and treatment they deserve. This includes peer support, self-management advice and research – which the charity itself provides and supports. Over the last four years Bipolar UK’s communication and policy function has grown substantially, with a dramatic increase in press coverage and steady growth in digital engagement and advocacy. It has a well developed tone of voice and will be launching a new brand profile alongside the website. The postholder will inherit a talented and growing team with four direct line reports and a wider team of skilled and engaged contractors.
 

Role purpose

You will be a seasoned communications leader with the skills and experience of overseeing a modern, efficient and dynamic communication function to achieve tangible outcomes for people affected by bipolar. The post holder will play a pivotal role in growing Bipolar UK’s brand awareness, contributing to the wider goal of achieving a £3m+ annual turnover so we can provide peer support to even more people affected by bipolar. In autumn 2025 Bipolar UK will be hitting two major milestones, launching both a new website and a high-profile campaign: ‘Could it be bipolar?’ to speed up diagnosis from the average 9.5 years it currently takes. You will be responsible for leading these projects in 2026 and beyond.

Specific Responsibilities

Overall:

• Lead the charity’s external communications, brand, and public-facing resources.
• Manage and support delivery of the charity’s external communications and marketing strategy to increase engagement with existing and new audiences and continue to improve the charity’s profile.
• Line manage and support our Senior Communications Officer, Senior Marketing Officer, Senior Website Officer and Senior Public Policy Officer.
• Develop engaging marketing campaigns to promote awareness, advocacy and services that remain true to the lived experience of bipolar.

Digital

• Lead and develop a compelling digital engagement and marketing strategy.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of our digital channels, including website, media, email marketing and social media.
• Work closely with the Head of Digital Transformation to ensure first-class digital practice.
• Lead engagement of the bipolar community through an engaging webinar, in-person events and conference programme,  which includes managing the charity’s flagship annual World Bipolar Day conference.
• Work with the CEO to develop and implement an effective charity-wide lead generation strategy.
• Work with the Directors of Fundraising and Research to develop engaging and effective campaigns that raise crucial funds and recruit research participants.
• Undertake social listening to ensure people living with bipolar are heard and have their voices amplified.

Press

• Lead the charity’s proactive and reactive press engagement to maximise the charity’s reputation and brand awareness.
• Manage the relationship with our PR agency, Sway PR, and our creative agency, Lark.
• Oversee a bank of over 150 media volunteers and high-profile Ambassadors.
• Implement the Crisis Communications Policy as and when necessary.

Policy

• Support the CEO and Senior Public Policy Officer to develop and implement an effective public affairs strategy to promote Bipolar UK public policy positions and campaigns.

The post holder will be expected to:

• Understand Protection, Health and Safety at Work, and Equality and Diversity legislation, and adhere to policies, procedures, and best practice at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to deliver these responsibilities and agreed objectivesto tight deadlines.

The Role:

This role sits at the heart of the organisation, ensuring our operations run smoothly while supporting the Chief Executive with executive coordination and administration.

The person:

Experience of having worked in small, busy organisations where a broad knowledge across office based systems will be crucial, with the flexibility and adaptability to tailor skills where necessary and to seek out workable solutions to a wide range of issues. An exposure to HR processes will also be useful as well as being genuinely interested in the important work of the Trust. This role lies at the heart of the organisation and will be central to its ongoing success in meeting its charitable aims and objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key areas of focus will include:

• Supporting young people, building and maintaining positive relationships with and recognizing their different needs and starting points. Have strong commitment to the values of acceptance and respect within youth work and being a positive role model. Encourage young people to take an active role in social action projects, youth voice and young leader activities

• Working together with the team in planning and delivery of full program offer, including evening youth club sessions and off-site educational visits, including to our outdoor centre in Cumbria with occasional over night stays. Assist in the development and introduction of additional activities such as twilight sessions, youth voice, targeted group work and mentoring

• Identify formal and informal educational, social, cultural and recreational needs of the young people and help to plan a positive interventions and innovations which enhances the knowledge, awareness and personal development of young people

Sessional Community Support Worker
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Various projects across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham & Tees Valley

About the role

Working in our Land and Communities team, you will engage with targeted participants who are involved with specific projects. In a diverse and busy environment, you will be supporting our Community Project Managers with the delivery of projects across the North East.

About the role 

As Senior Engagement Manager, you'll shape and drive strategies to attract external partnerships and funding in support of Cambridge International Education's global mission. Your role includes identifying and prioritising partnership opportunities, co-creating compelling proposals with internal teams to deliver innovative education initiatives aligned with funding priorities and partner interests. You'll also monitor global funding trends, provide strategic advice to senior colleagues and help evolve partnership processes to ensure continuous improvement. 

About you 

You will be degree-qualified or possess equivalent related experience and bring a deep understanding of donor motivations, funding structures, and strategic partnership development, especially within philanthropy, the private sector, or international development. You are an excellent communicator and an adept relationship manager, skilled at influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to deliver results and you possess strong commercial acumen and a creative approach to problem-solving. Experience of securing multi-year funding, presenting proposals, and negotiating contracts with high-value partners is essential. Experience with international education is desirable.

Purpose of the AV Technician role:

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking an Audio Visual Technician with experience in Stage Lighting and Rigging to work with the Event Technician, to use our in-house equipment, for the Commercial and Public Events programs.

As AV Technician you will be, primarily, focused on supporting events, by looking after the lighting equipment in the Museum’s event spaces, which include a 220-seat lecture theatre, iconic Lancaster bomber and the Sunderland Flying Boat. Although the main focus will be lighting, we are looking for a candidate who also has some Sound and Video experience, so that they can manage and run events by themselves when the Event Technician is unavailable.

Key responsibilities of our AV Technician include:

• Supporting and facilitating the Museum’s AV and IT systems. Maintain the Museum’s AV lighting systems and associated rigging and trusses
• Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support and problem solving for AV/digital interactive equipment
• Taking responsibility for monitoring of all gallery-based interactives
• Providing technical support for museum public & corporate events (including outside of office hours)
• Undertaking infrastructure repairs, installation & termination (CAT 5/6, Fibre, IP Telephony, electrical)
• Providing 1st line support for AV aspects of museum simulators
• Taking responsibility for the installation of new AV/digital interactive equipment, maintain existing hardware and recommend upgrades or replacements as appropriate, in the Museum event spaces and digital interactives
• Undertaking monitoring of AV systems remotely. Create, assign, respond to support tickets relating to AV and related issues

What we are looking for in our AV Technician:

• Experience of working within AV, particularly events lighting
• Experience with Rigging (permanent and temporary)
