Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely alongside the rest of the team, the Head of Membership holds an integral position within Cobseo, centred around the day-to-day delivery of the membership function. The post-holder is responsible for pro-actively identifying and securing new members, processing membership applications, managing credit control that relates to membership fees, and acting as the primary point of contact for prospective/members and relevant stakeholders.
The Head of Membership will also drive the development of Cobseo’s membership offer, policies and processes via the design and delivery of a new, research-led, evidence-based Membership Strategy, which will include refining the membership criteria and enhancing membership benefits to elevate the value of Cobseo Membership.
The Head of Membership provides leadership to the Cobseo office team and Executive Committee on all membership matters. They leverage their knowledge of the sector and expertise in customer-centric delivery, in order to provide guidance on Membership decisions during Executive Committee meetings, of which the membership applications are a standing agenda item.
The Head of Membership will be the primary liaison for the new CRM/website project, working closely with the Director of Operations and the Head of Communication & Engagement to ensure that the new system is commissioned, launched, and integrated successfully. They will work with external suppliers including routinely with the external bookkeeper, and on a project basis with the CRM provider and CRM implementation partner to ensure value-for-money procurement and effective project delivery.
As a member of the small Cobseo office team, the Head of Membership, along with the other members of the office team, is expected to lean into issues, opportunities, and workstreams that arise, sometimes at short notice and occasionally outside of their own portfolio.
This role is full time (34.5 hours per week) and is office-based in London for at least 2 days per week in order to facilitate positive relationships with the rest of the team and with stakeholders. There is an option for hybrid/homeworking the rest of the week. Some UK travel is required and the post-holder will occasionally be required to work from external sites, such as events’ venues or in order to visit members’ premises. Normal working hours are maintained wherever possible noting that business activity of a membership organisation, including for some events, is held outwith normal office hours.
The Head of Membership role doesn’t currently have line management responsibility. As the size and shape of the Cobseo office team develops over time, this may change.

As a technical specialist focused on data & integration, you’ll collaborate with our digital, IT, and cross-functional teams, as well as external partners, to help design and implement robust data centric solutions.
The solutions you help to deliver will be fundamental to the success of the organisation and will involve using a mixture of SQL and C#. You’ll also document concepts, processes, and solutions to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.

As the Foundation’s Benevolent Grants Manager, you will use your extensive experience and skills to manage a first-class benevolent grants service at the RCN Foundation. The service is bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in making key decisions relating to our grant-making activity to individuals in need.
In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Benevolent Service until January 2027. Your role will involve managing the Benevolent Service Team and supporting them with assessing applications and agreeing grants. You will be experienced in monitoring trends in application rates and managing the service to respond to these in a timely manner for the beneficiaries. You will have experience of monitoring and reporting on the outcomes and impact of the service and identifying and responding to trends within the data and the wider economic landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and passionate Education & Equalities team at the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) and the Council for Disabled Children (CDC).
We champion the rights of disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs (SEN), helping schools and early years settings to become more inclusive, equitable and welcoming.
As an Education Programme Manager, you will manage and deliver programmes across our education and equalities work. Current areas include the Healthy Schools and Healthy Early Years London programmes, the EYSEND Partnership supporting early years and family hubs to improve inclusion, and national networks such as the Special Educational Consortium (SEC).
Alongside programme delivery, you will gather and analyse evidence, contribute to consultation responses and help build consensus among a wide range of stakeholders. This work supports our aim to influence and improve practice and policy for disabled children and those with SEN.
The role involves managing complex programmes from planning through delivery and evaluation. You will monitor budgets, produce resources and reports, and organise engaging events and training for education professionals. You will work closely with schools, early years settings, local authorities, health and public health partners, professional and voluntary sector networks, funders and policy makers, as well as parents, carers and children and young people, turning evidence and insight into practical impact for education.

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Communications and Policy Influencing Lead to spearhead the implementation of the Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) communications and policy influencing strategy globally. The position will shape and oversee the programme’s global communications and policy influencing strategies, ensuring coherence across national and global levels.
This role is central to translating strategy into action at national and global levels: working closely with country teams, donors, civil society, and survivor-led organisations to strengthen prevention, accountability, and justice frameworks. The role will align communications outputs to influencing and other strategic goals and making sure national and global work connects. The programme will support teams across Bangladesh, Jordan, Pakistan and Syria, as well as other countries still to be decided.
About the Programme
The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) is a programme that aims to support organisations in the aid sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH). RSH supports organisations working in both the humanitarian and development sectors and is driven by the needs of smaller national or local organisations in developing countries.The programme is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) until 2030.

Building networks, understanding what motivates our supporters, and aligning our programmes to their grantmaking strategies is key to our growth plans for Major Gifts. Partnering with grantmaking trusts and foundations is fundamental in helping Parkinson’s UK to deliver the impact we want to see for people affected by Parkinson's.
As a Trusts Officer, you will be a part of our dynamic and high performing Major Gifts and Special Events team. We have a well established programme raising circa £5 million a year across the department to fund our vital work but big ambitions to grow that further.
About the role
This role is part of the trusts and statutory team of nine. In this role you will coordinate trust fundraising activity within a large portfolio of funders, identifying trusts and foundation prospects and writing high quality proposals and reports in collaboration with supportive colleagues in the team and across the charity. It is a permanent, full time position with an established portfolio of four and five figure trust donors, and the opportunity to grow this significantly in the coming years.
Together with our other Trusts Officer, you’ll oversee the small trusts programme of regular supporters, create tailored approaches to bigger funders in your portfolio, and support other team projects and cultivation events.
What you’ll do:

Cultivate strong working relationships with a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters increasing their engagement with and support of the charity.

Maintain an active portfolio of small and mid-sized trust funders, and research new trusts increasing your own portfolio.

Create clear and concise proposals and reports for trusts in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland including for project and region-specific funding requests.

Identify the most appropriate approaches for specific trusts and opportunities to increase giving and secure multi-year gifts, thanking promptly and appropriately.
What you’ll bring:

Experience of successfully securing four- or five-figure gifts from charitable trusts and foundations and managing a funding portfolio.

Ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external people, including trust administrators and trustees, influencing them to support new projects through written proposals, meetings, site visits and calls.

Knowledge of the requirements of trust funders, the principles of bid-writing and effective project reporting.

Proven ability to organise a busy workload effectively and respond flexibly to requests from your manager.

What you’ll do
- Advise on contract principles and procurement processes
- Maintain contract templates, guidance materials, and training resources
- Oversee the signing of contracts and maintain our contracts database
- Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts
- Advise staff on common contractual issues including variations, renewals, disputes and terminations
- Respond to day-to-day data protection queries and managing the data protection mailbox
- Assist with Records of Processing Activity (RoPA) and Subject Access Requests
