The Senior Operations Manager supports the implementation of effective and efficient activities to deliver the Gavi project in accordance with international standards, best practice and donor expectations. The role reports to the Deputy Team Lead- Gavi and is responsible for consistent implementation of systems and procedures. The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to support our culture of continuous improvement.

A strong operational background in international development, including extensive field experience, and excellent project management skills are essential for the role. The Senior Operations Manager will manage a medium sized team and occasional overseas travel may be required.

MannionDaniels are looking to recruit an experienced Grants Manager (bi-lingual Portuguese- English) to support our Gavi CSO funding mechanism. The Grants Manager will need to have a background in health as they will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of different sized grants, delivering immunization and health system strengthening programmes across different types of organisations and geographies. The Grants Manager will work collaboratively with technical colleagues to maximise results and minimise risk for a portfolio of projects. The role holder will support the performance and develop the capabilities of grantees and contribute to wider learning.

We are looking for people with either direct experience of working in the health sector in West and Central Africa, Mozambique or Angola and are fluent Portuguese speakers. The Grants Manager provides a focal point to coordinate the technical, financial, and operational support to each grantee throughout the grant management process. The Grants Manager will work closely with the wider grant support team to ensure grants move efficiently through the grant management cycle and to coordinate technical assistance for grantees. In addition, the Grants Manager will support the design and delivery of further Gavi projects implementing technical assistance to CSOs in specific thematic areas and countries.

Summary

The Interim Head of Funding will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the funding strategy of our three charities (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, Guy’s Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children’s Charity). Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.

· Overseeing ongoing delivery of the funding strategy by working with Funding Managers to effectively deliver and manage funding portfolios.

· Co-chairing of funding committees as required, supporting delivery in line with our governance structures.

· Oversee effective management of our Special Purpose Funds (SPFs)

· Working with finance teams and Funding Managers to ensure appropriate financial reporting and information is available across our funding portfolio.

· Supporting on financial and operational planning in-year, at mid-year review and in planning for future years, in line with our strategy.

· Supporting Funding Managers to maintain strong relationships with the Trust leads, to enable a partnership approach

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. Responsibilities will include producing regular quarterly forecasts and the annual budget, supporting project costing, overseeing financial management of research projects, and providing variance analysis. The Person

We are looking for an ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience in business partnering, financial project management, and setting budgets and forecasts. Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector is advantageous, as is knowledge of different funders, philanthropic foundations, government departments, international organisations, businesses, and NGOs (grants and donor reporting). The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. About the opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in London.

• The London Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The London Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Contract and hours: Fixed term contract until 31st July 2026. Full time. We offer flexible hours with 9:30-4 as core hours. A full working week is 37.5 hours.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

Being the sole representative for a partner school, you will need to use your ability to work independently and with initiative, often organising your own time to meet deadlines. You’ll also need to have a strong aptitude for developing relationships with a range of stakeholders ensuring you uphold high standards of communication and adapt your style for different audiences. The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset.
