We will focus on the strengths and expertise of our member groups to promote engagement with Ireland's unique music, dance, sport, language and culture.

We will work together with our members throughout this three-year journey. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

We are recruiting a Cantonese speaking Team Manager to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will oversee a team of Employment Advisors who provide remote support to participants, assisting them in accessing job opportunities, education and training.  

You will be responsible for providing effective leadership, guidance and support to the Employment Advisors, monitoring and managing their workflow and providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their performance. Your responsibilities will also include quality assurance of STEP programme delivery, monitoring and reporting programme outcomes and compiling and analysing data on the effectiveness of the team’s interventions and activities.  

About you

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a refugee support or employment-related context.

About the Role

The focus of this permanent role is to manage the development and growth of the Strategic Programmes, in line with the organisations new strategy and core mission to end youth homelessness. You will provide high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 employability support and group employability workshops with the aim of coaching individuals and supporting them on their journey into employment that suits their previous experience and skill set.

You will prepare participants for employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will monitor and encourage participants’ engagement and attendance in all aspects of the programme. You will provide an exemplary level of support to STEP participants working towards a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants including successful delivery of workshops, completion of training courses, volunteering, and achieving and sustaining paid employment. 

The Employment Advisors will work remotely and can be based anywhere in the UK.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment, and the additional barriers that can be faced by women entering the UK job market.

About the opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity for a selection expert to join the Supporter Selections Team at Alzheimer’s Society in what is a really exciting time for both the charity and the team. You will be joining the team as we further develop our selections by using insight, both in and post-campaign, plus develop highly relevant and individualised supporter experiences to drive our communications and improve supporter journeys. • The role holder has autonomy to create a working schedule that fits their needs. We do require at least 4 hours on a Monday as that is a core working day. The remainder of the working hours can be worked flexibly across the week in business hours.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11304 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Hampshire, specifically North, Mid and Central Hampshire (Basingstoke/Winchester area) However, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work related meetings)

Salary: Circa £18,812 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week

The Clinical team at Diabetes UK gathers the diabetes management and prevention insights to help inform the organisation. As a valued member of the team, you will develop and share your knowledge and experience internally and externally to support Diabetes UK’s strategy. You will be an expert clinical resource for internal colleagues and external network, support the delivery of fresh, innovative, high-quality information and education resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes. You will effectively build and maintain excellent internal relationships with the Together Type 1 team and other teams across the charity to achieve the outputs in line with strategic goals and KPI requirements of the Steve Morgan Foundation (SMF) programme.

Role description:

You will lead a clinical area of diabetes, be an expert resource and maintain a good knowledge in all areas of diabetes care and prevention. You will gather new insights that help to inform Diabetes UK work, information and messaging while supporting other colleagues in developing diabetes knowledge. You will provide expertise within your clinical area on a range of matters including the development of products and resources, improving public understanding of diabetes through local and national media channels, reviewing evidence-based practice, and critically appraising to ensure clinical accuracy. Working with other colleagues, you will deliver wellbeing programmes to young people with type 1 diabetes. You may be required to provide clinical support and advice e.g. administer hypo treatment, advise on carb counting and support attendees who may have special needs.

The ideal candidate:

You will be a registered healthcare professional with clinical experience in diabetes preferably in paediatrics care within the NHS as a dietitian, nurse, or doctor. You will be passionate about using an evidence-based approach to creating resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple teams, and be up to date with current developments, and trends, in diabetes care and prevention. You will be flexible in travelling around the country regularly to deliver wellbeing sessions including overnight stays, during some weekends and school holidays.
