What we're building

Level Water exists to solve a problem that shouldn’t exist: too many disabled children are still missing out on high-quality swimming lessons. 

Last year, our swimmers raised over £1m. This year we’ve sold out events in minutes and want to double the fundraising. We’re on the path to exponential growth and we need someone who can help us get there.

We're Level Water, a founder-led charity solving learn-to-swim for disabled children. We're not your typical charity. We own our events and run them like a business. We move fast, test everything, and we're building something that doesn't exist anywhere else. Our events are uniquely profitable, and we reinvest in quality and growth. 

We've just brought in a new Fundraising Director, and this Marketing role is a cornerstone of the team we're building. If you want to help define how a modern charity grows and does marketing, this is your chance.

The opportunity

This isn't a "post on social and send a newsletter" role. This is a “build something exceptional, then grow it” role. Marketing is at the heart of our flywheel, which means you’ll be integral to everything we are doing at Level Water. 

You'll own marketing strategy and execution across our entire operation: our iconic events, our life-changing swimming programmes, and our reputation as a charity. You'll drive growth, tell stories that matter, and build genuine communities that scale.

You'll have the freedom to experiment. Want to test a new channel? Launch a content series? Build a creator programme? Run paid campaigns that actually convert? Brilliant. Build the business case and let's do it.

You'll work with real impact. Children with disabilities are learning to swim because of us. Families are transformed by our lessons. Volunteers and incredible teachers make it happen. These are stories that deserve to be told brilliantly, and you'll be the one telling them.

This role is 80% growth and 20% impact storytelling, but the two are inseparable. We’re product-led and we launch and test often. Great stories fuel growth. Growth creates more stories. You'll understand that tension and thrive in it.

You'll work closely with our Fundraising Director and CEO to scale marketing as our most powerful growth lever. You'll also manage a network of brilliant freelancers (photographers, videographers, copywriters, designers) to help you execute at the highest level.

Every event you sell out, every story you tell, every audience you build helps unlock more funded swimming lessons, bringing us closer to a future where every disabled child can have a great swimming lesson with a confident, qualified teacher.

Marketing at Level Water isn’t just about selling events - it’s a core delivery mechanism in our Theory of Change. This role exists to move the levers that unlock more lessons, faster progression, stronger outcomes, and a sustainable income engine that funds it all.

This is the most exciting marketing job in the charity sector for the right person.

What you'll actually do

This role owns marketing as a growth engine. You'll set strategy, drive execution across multiple channels, and be accountable for how marketing translates into event sign-ups, fundraising growth, profile, and impact. You'll work closely with the Fundraising Director to shape priorities, influence decisions, and build something that scales.

Drive growth marketing that converts

• Own end-to-end marketing for our events portfolio: from launch campaigns to sell-out.

• Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across social, email, paid ads, PR, partnerships, and whatever else works.

• Test everything. Audiences, messages, creative, channels. Find what works, double down, and scale it.

• Use data to spot opportunities: which channels are converting? Where are we leaving growth on the table? What could we do differently?

• Manage our digital advertising and paid social strategy with a ruthless focus on ROI.

• Grow our email database and social audiences with intent, not just for vanity metrics.

• Be trusted to repeatedly turn £1 into £5 or £10. 

• Define and unleash our audiences: help them share their stories in a way that turns experiences into future sales, and makes everything that Level Water does easier.

• Build and manage our captain and ambassador programmes as genuine growth engines - nurturing relationships, setting expectations, and turning influence into measurable impact.

• Proactively convert interest into action. This includes direct outreach (e.g. picking up the phone to captains, engaging top fundraisers, activating ambassadors) to ensure intent turns into ticket sales and fundraising.

Tell stories that build belief

• Find, shape, and share the stories that show our impact: the children, the families, the teachers, the moments that matter.

• Build and curate a library of content (video, photography, case studies, testimonials) that we can use everywhere.

• Work with freelance photographers and videographers to capture our events and programmes at their best.

• Create content that our supporters, partners, and prospects actually want to engage with, not just content that ticks a box.

• Manage our website (fundraising, events, and programmes pages) to ensure it's always up to date, compelling, and optimised for conversion.

• Ensure our impact reporting to donors is rich with content about our work.

• Use storytelling internally to build shared understanding, momentum and belief across the charity as we scale.

Build our profile and partnerships

• Position Level Water as a leader in accessible swimming and outdoor challenge events.

• Build and leverage relationships with press, influencers, local authorities, and stakeholders.

• Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities that align with our mission and drive growth.

• Amplify examples of inclusion within our pools, making them known and also making inclusive practice visible.

• Promote our swimming pool partners and recognise their contribution to our work.

Manage, measure, and improve

• Own the marketing budget and get maximum value from every pound spent.

• Manage our freelance network: scope projects, review proposals, and ensure quality work on time and on budget.

• Report regularly on what's working and what's not: campaign performance, audience growth, conversion rates, ROI.

• Stay ahead of the curve: what are the best organisations doing? What can we learn and adapt?

Practical details

You'll lead and manage the team of People Advisors, as well as the Onboarding team, to deliver a customer and quality focused service to managers and staff on all matters relating to the employment lifecycle for all employees. You'll coordinate and manage employee relations casework and lead on people support queries, advising managers and staff on ways of working and implementing employment policies.

You'll provide guidance on safer recruitment, safeguarding and vetting policies in line with Ofsted, CQC and Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation, as well as managing and reporting on Occupational Health service usage.

We are looking for some who has:

• Demonstrable experience of providing advice to managers and staff on HR related matters.

• Experience and desire in delivering a customer focused advisory and onboarding service.
• CIPD qualified level 5 or above or demonstrable equivalent Employee Relations and HR Management experience.

The Royal Medical Foundation (RMF) supports doctors and their families during times of crisis. When illness, bereavement or unexpected hardship turns lives upside down, we provide compassionate support and practical financial help to restore stability and dignity.

We are seeking a Caseworker to join our small, friendly team and play a vital role in supporting members of the medical community through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

About the role

As a Caseworker, you will work directly with doctors and their families who are experiencing financial hardship and significant life challenges. You will offer a listening ear, assess individual circumstances with care and sensitivity, and help people access the financial assistance and wider support they need.

This is a role for someone who is person-centred, combines empathy with professionalism, and who is comfortable handling sensitive conversations alongside detailed casework and financial administration.

You are likely to have experience within the advice, charity, social care or grant-giving sectors, and bring a strong understanding of:

This is a homebased role, with occasional travel (including attendance at Epsom College in Surrey 2-4 times a year). Equipment will be provided and you will need a suitable private workspace, reliable internet and phone access.

The Biochemical Society are seeking a Head of Sales and Licensing, on a 2-year Fixed Term contract on a part time basis (0.6 FTE), to support the Biochemical Society Publishing and Sales functions.

The Head of Sales and Licensing will lead in the delivery of commercial activities across the publishing function, ensuring delivery against key performance indicators, organisational strategic objectives and financial targets; while working collaboratively with the Publishing team to implement and deliver strategies across the Publishing revenue streams.

The post-holder will oversee the sales pipeline, reporting information to the PPL Board (quarterly basis minimum) to develop, maintain and increase recurring revenue streams, ensuring that revenue targets are met or exceeded, and perform long-term modelling and identifying new sales opportunities to support strategic decision making.

In this role, knowledge of market that could impact performance and income forecasts, pricing and retention of customers, and support ongoing collaboration to ensure content and commercial aspects are working together to drive growth in sales, usage and content opportunities..

Suitable candidates will have experience working collaboratively across organisational functions and external operations, knowledge of diverse and changing clientele needs and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

The Community Fundraising Officer is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundraising Team. 

In Community Fundraising we are the team that builds relationships with our supporters, families, and event participants to fundraise so that MDUK can continue to find treatments and ultimately cures through research, and to drive improvements in care and quality of life.

Grant management & assessment

• Reviewing and assessing grant applications in line with the Grassroots Fund criteria
• Carrying out desk-based research and liaising with applicants
• Making grant decisions within agreed levels of responsibility, and supporting decision-making by subcommittees and Trustees where required
• Keeping clear and accurate records of grants in a way that supports transparency and shared oversight

Funding processes & governance

• Supporting clear, fair and accessible funding processes
• Preparing grant offer letters and agreement
• Ensuring grants support Hope Unlimited’s charitable purpose and meet basic governance requirements
• Improving and evolving our grant-giving and reporting processes, and suggesting changes that make them work better for communities and for Hope Unlimited

Reporting & learning

• Supporting grantees to share what difference the funding has made after 12 months
• Encouraging reporting that works for communities, including written, visual or creative formats
• Helping Hope Unlimited learn from what grantees tell us, particularly about what strengthens community resilience over time

Relationship management

What we think you’ll need to be able to do the job:

You will lead, with support, on the development and delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project seeking to support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service development, support a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will coordinate and lead a minimum twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have management responsibility of a small staff team, take overall lead on case management, coordinate outreach and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support women to access and engage with a range of services to meet their needs through effective and professional communication.

About the role:

The Senior Director of Finance is the most senior finance professional at Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH). The role provides strategic financial leadership and ensures the organisation meets its fiduciary, regulatory, and governance obligations as a UK charity, while enabling responsible growth and global scale.

Acting as the organisation’s senior finance lead, the postholder will support the CEO and Board of Trustees to meet their statutory duties under UK charity law, including duties of care, prudence, and accountability, while building robust financial systems aligned to PLH’s 2026-2028 Strategic Plan and country implementation model.

The role ensures that PLH’s resources are used exclusively to further its charitable purposes, safeguarded appropriately, and managed transparently in the public interest.

Responsibilities:

Charity Governance, Fiduciary Oversight, and Trustee Support

• Act as the primary source of financial advice to the CEO and Board of Trustees, supporting trustees to fulfil their legal and fiduciary duties under UK charity law.

• Support the effective functioning of the Board Finance Committee, including preparation of high-quality financial papers, scenario options, and risk analyses.

• Ensure trustees have clear oversight of:

  • Financial performance against approved budgets

  • Liquidity, reserves, and solvency

  • Financial risks and mitigations

  • Long-term sustainability and going-concern considerations

• Ensure financial decision-making aligns with PLH’s charitable objects, governing documents, and public benefit obligations.

• Support compliance with Charity Commission guidance, including SORP (Standard Operating Procedures), CC3 (The Essential Trustee), CC12 (Managing a Charity’s Finances), and CC19 (Charity Reserves).

• Support trustees in understanding and exercising oversight of charity-wide financial risk, including downside and stress-test scenarios.

Financial Strategy, Planning, and Sustainability

• Lead the costing and financial modelling of PLH’s 2026-2028 Strategic Plan and country implementation model, ensuring affordability, sustainability, and strategic coherence.

• Design, implement, and institutionalise a three-tier scenario planning framework (base, growth, and downside cases) to support prudent and adaptive decision-making.

• Develop a long-term (3-5 year) financial sustainability model projecting:

  • Revenue by source (restricted and unrestricted)

  • Expenditure and staffing growth

  • Enterprise risk management (ERM) contributions

  • Reserves, liquidity, and risk exposure

• Develop, maintain, and regularly review PLH’s reserves policy, including target levels, rationale, and planned use, in line with Charity Commission expectations.

• Advise senior leadership and trustees on the financial implications of growth, innovation, and funding opportunities.

• Provide forward-looking financial insight to support organisational decision-making under uncertainty and changing funding conditions.

Financial Management, Reporting, and Controls

• Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate, complete, and timely accounting records in accordance with UK charity accounting standards (SORP FRS 102).

• Provide strategic oversight and assurance over organisation-wide financial reporting, using management accounts and dashboards prepared by the Finance Manager to inform executive and trustee decision-making.

• Ensure proportionate internal controls, segregation of duties, and approval frameworks are current and implemented by the Finance Manager.

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial risk management framework covering:

  • Liquidity and cash-flow risk

  • Donor concentration and funding dependency

  • Currency and foreign exchange exposure

  • Contractual and grant compliance risk

  • Contingency and downside planning

• Ensure effective coordination between in-house finance staff and outsourced accounting and payroll providers, maintaining clear accountability and quality assurance.

Audit, External Reporting, and Transparency

• Oversee the annual audit process, supporting the Finance Manager’s role as primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of statutory accounts.

• Support trustees in reviewing and approving:

  • Statutory financial statements

  • Trustees’ Annual Report

  • Financial disclosures to regulators

• Ensure high standards of financial transparency and accountability to donors, partners, regulators, and the public.

• Oversee statutory filings and financial reporting to the Charity Commission and Companies House.

• Contribute to narrative financial reporting on sustainability, risk, and reserves where appropriate.

Organisational Financial Capability and Culture

• Develop and maintain clear financial policies, procedures, and approval workflows to support consistency, compliance, and accountability.

• Embed a culture of financial stewardship, prudence, and shared accountability across the organisation.

• Promote ethical financial practice and safeguarding of charitable assets in line with PLH’s values and public-interest obligations.

Team Leadership and Management

• Lead and develop PLH’s finance function, including line management of the Finance Manager and oversight of external bookkeeping and accounting partners.

• Ensure the finance function is appropriately resourced, scalable, and fit for a growing, multi-country organisation.

• Set clear objectives, performance standards, and professional development pathways for finance staff.

• Promote ethical practice, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

• Provide mentoring and strategic development support to mid-career finance staff as the organisation grows.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Senior-level financial leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of UK charity governance, trustee responsibilities, and Charity Commission expectations.

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, scenario modelling, and reserves management.

• Proven experience establishing robust financial controls, reporting systems, and audit processes.

• Experience working directly with Boards and Board Committees in a governance context.

• Demonstrated experience embedding or overseeing organisational-wide financial risk management frameworks.

• Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, decision-ready advice for trustees and senior leaders.

• Experience operating in organisations with a mix of restricted, unrestricted, and partially recoverable income streams.

• Comfort working in an evidence-driven, analytically rigorous organisational environment.

• Strong people leadership and management capability.

• High levels of integrity, sound judgement, and commitment to PLH’s charitable aims.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Financial leadership experience within a UK charity, international NGO, or comparable not-for-profit organisation.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent experience.

• Experience with multi-country, multi-currency operations and restricted funding environments.

• Familiarity with UK charity accounting (SORP FRS 102).

• Experience working closely with trustee Finance or Audit & Risk Committees.

• Familiarity with donor concentration risk analysis and income diversification strategies.

• Exposure to safeguarding or PSEA considerations from a financial governance perspective.

• Experience supporting organisational growth and scale within regulated charity contexts.

One of two Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project which will support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service provision, be critical to supporting a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will undertake at least twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have responsibility for a caseload of women identified through outreach, referral and presentation at ours and other services. You will provide advocacy, casework support and connection and referral into other agencies which can help them address their needs.

At the Motability Foundation, we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. 

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that works flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. Our growing portfolio includes flagship projects tackling challenges such as inclusive EV charging infrastructure, complex community transport needs, and large-scale research like the National Centre for Accessible Transport. 

We are now recruiting a Transport Solutions Manager to lead the design and delivery of high-impact work focused primarily on accessibility considerations around emerging Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology, alongside other initiatives related to our Private Transport Theme. This is a pivotal role that combines technical understanding, programme delivery, and stakeholder leadership, and is designed to work flexibly across our matrix structure. 

While your core focus will be on accessibility of emerging Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology, you also may be expected to lead and/or contribute to other transport projects across the transport themes. 

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, purpose-led team driving change in the transport system for disabled people, and to work on some of the most complex and impactful projects in the sector. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Lead the Foundation’s work to understand the impact of AVs on transport equity for disabled people, working closely with Programme Directors and partners across government, industry and the charity sector. 

• Scope, commission and manage projects related to AVs – such as pilots, commercial partnerships, research studies or funding opportunities – ensuring alignment to strategic priorities. 

• Bring technical, regulatory, and market understanding of AVs to shape the Foundation’s approach in this space. 

• Manage end-to-end delivery of specific initiatives, including planning, budgeting, due diligence, contracting, risk management, and governance reporting. 

• Use insight, evidence and stakeholder engagement to shape new programmes of work and ensure delivery reflects the needs of disabled people. 

• Work flexibly across our matrix team, contributing to projects or funding rounds outside your own portfolio as needed, and supporting colleagues with specialist input or delivery resource.

• Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders. 

• Collaborate across the Foundation, including with the Insight & Evaluation, Finance and Communications teams, to ensure high-quality delivery, learning and visibility of our work.

Governance and Operations Manager

£45,530 - £48,620 (+ILA if applicable)

Home-based, with a minimum of every other week travel into the London Office, preferably with easy access to London to enable flexibility in the role.

The Governance and Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in enabling strong, effective governance, high-performing executive support and the smooth operations of the charity.

Overseen by the Director of Operations and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, the postholder will ensure that Board and committee activity is well-organised, compliant, and aligned to the charity’s mission, legal duties, and funding obligations.  The role will oversee the smooth delivery of end-to-end governance administration-supporting agenda planning, high-quality papers, accurate minutes, action tracking, and statutory and policy requirements-while also managing and improving executive support systems, prioritisation, and confidential coordination.

The postholder will help strengthen  governance, operational systems and will provide executive support to the Executive Teams, and planning support for wider organisational activities. Alongside helping to create the structure, assurance, and operational grip that enables leaders and trustees to focus on strategic impact, safeguarding, risk management, and the delivery of safe, effective services.

Fundraising Manager

The Opportunity

This UK-registered humanitarian charity is committed to breaking cycles of poverty through practical, sustainable and dignified support. Working from the London office, the Fundraising Manager will lead income generation across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising and events, helping to strengthen supporter relationships and grow the donor base.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan to meet income targets and diversify revenue streams.

Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across trusts and foundations, corporates, major donors, individual giving, community fundraising and events.

Produce high-quality funding enquiries and applications, working with finance on budgets and a full cost recovery        approach where appropriate.

Build and steward relationships with funders, corporate partners, major donors and individual supporters, ensuring timely acknowledgements and impact reporting.

Plan and deliver fundraising campaigns, appeals and events, using KPIs and insight to maximise engagement and income.

Maintain accurate records on the CRM (Salesforce), ensuring GDPR compliance and supporting reporting, reconciliation and Gift Aid processes.

The Candidate

Minimum 3 years' experience in charity fundraising, with a proven track record of personally securing significant income (c. £200,000+ per annum).

Demonstrable success securing grants from trusts and foundations, including applications for £10,000+ awards.

Experience developing corporate partnerships and cultivating major donors/HNWIs.

Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive applications, proposals and supporter communications.

Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines; confident presenting to varied audiences.

Comfortable with data and systems, including CRM use (Salesforce preferred), and a working knowledge of GDPR, Gift Aid and fundraising best practice.
