As Place Director, you will lead the development of new creative place projects that strengthen local cultural infrastructure, support everyday creativity, and build community wellbeing. You will represent Creative Lives nationally, work closely with local authorities and partners to secure funding, and champion our mission to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to express themselves creatively.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in business development, confident in approaching senior decision-makers, and experienced in securing contracts or commissions with local authorities, funders or partners. You will bring strong communication and negotiation skills, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of Scotland’s cultural landscape.

Legacies already fund around half our work — and as our new Legacy Marketing and In Memory Manager, you’ll play a central role in securing the long-term future of our mission.
You’ll lead the development and delivery of inspiring campaigns that show supporters the incredible impact their legacy could have, helping us protect animals for generations to come. You’ll also develop our first-ever In Memory giving strategy – creating meaningful, sensitive ways for people to honour loved ones through our work.
We're looking for someone with experience of running integrated Legacy and In Memory campaigns across multiple channels – someone who can tell a powerful story, build trust, and connect emotionally with our supporters. You’ll be confident managing projects, budgets, creative suppliers and data. Most of all, you’ll be motivated by impact – using insight and empathy to deliver work that really matters.

What you’ll be doing:
- Driving and delivering legacy strategy; acquisition, conversion and stewardship campaigns
- Designing and launching a new In Memory strategy
- Creating compelling supporter journeys and communications
- Running events, appeals and digital campaigns
- Working closely with internal teams; fundraising, campaigns & communications, public affairs, intelligence and finance
- Using insight and analysis to drive improvement and impact
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience of Legacy and In Memory fundraising across multi-channel delivery
- Strong project management and creative campaign delivery skills
- Excellent copywriting and creative briefing skills
- Confidence with data, segmentation and analysis
- Confidence to represent the League at supporter events

The role
SAFE! Support for Young People Affected by Crime is a dynamic Oxford based charity working across the Thames Valley. We are looking for experienced practitioners to provide support on a freelance basis to young people and parents/caregivers across all our services. Sessional practitioners are contracted on a freelance basis to provide one-to-one support to young people and their parents. There are also opportunities to co-facilitate group work. Sessions may be delivered remotely or face to face, dependent upon the needs of clients. Freelancers are home-based practitioners who travel to meet young people and /or parents face-to-face (within a 25-mile radius), provide remote support online, or a combination of both.
SAFE! Sessional Practitioners
Locations: Opportunities across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, and Berkshire
Payment: Practitioners submit invoices monthly and are paid at a rate of £25 per hour. They are liable for all tax and expenses.
About you
You’ll have extensive experience of working with young people in a supportive role with a proven track record of building appropriate relationships and providing outstanding support to children, young people, and parents. You’ll be confident in designing individual intervention plans based on needs. An enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills, you’ll possess a positive, solution-focussed attitude. With experience of multi-agency working and a commitment to high standards of professionalism, your values will align with SAFE!’s vision, mission, and values.
Your active commitment to both safeguarding and promoting equal opportunities and diversity will be evident in all you do. We are seeking people with a professional qualification in social work, teaching, youth work, probation, or equivalent, and extensive experience of working with children and young people.
