MannionDaniels have been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

iii. Strengthen the capacity of CSOs and local partners to implement contracts/grants effectively and efficiently.

iv. Contribute to a conducive partnership, a joint vision and clarified collaboration modalities between governments, and civil society and local partners,

v. Help roll out HPV vaccination; and

vi. Robustly evaluate the contracts/grant with CSOs and local partners to capture learning and ensure course correction as required.

The Senior Operations Manager supports the implementation of effective and efficient activities to deliver the Gavi project in accordance with international standards, best practice and donor expectations. The role reports to the Deputy Team Lead- Gavi and is responsible for consistent implementation of systems and procedures. The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to support our culture of continuous improvement.

A strong operational background in international development, including extensive field experience, and excellent project management skills are essential for the role. The Senior Operations Manager will manage a medium sized team and occasional overseas travel may be required.

Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in diverse and challenging environments.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.

MannionDaniels are looking to recruit an experienced Grants Manager (bi-lingual Portuguese- English) to support our Gavi CSO funding mechanism. The Grants Manager will need to have a background in health as they will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of different sized grants, delivering immunization and health system strengthening programmes across different types of organisations and geographies. The Grants Manager will work collaboratively with technical colleagues to maximise results and minimise risk for a portfolio of projects. The role holder will support the performance and develop the capabilities of grantees and contribute to wider learning.

We are looking for people with either direct experience of working in the health sector in West and Central Africa, Mozambique or Angola and are fluent Portuguese speakers. The Grants Manager provides a focal point to coordinate the technical, financial, and operational support to each grantee throughout the grant management process. The Grants Manager will work closely with the wider grant support team to ensure grants move efficiently through the grant management cycle and to coordinate technical assistance for grantees. In addition, the Grants Manager will support the design and delivery of further Gavi projects implementing technical assistance to CSOs in specific thematic areas and countries.

Summary

Key responsibilities:

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.

· Overseeing ongoing delivery of the funding strategy by working with Funding Managers to effectively deliver and manage funding portfolios.

· Co-chairing of funding committees as required, supporting delivery in line with our governance structures.

· Oversee effective management of our Special Purpose Funds (SPFs)

· Working with finance teams and Funding Managers to ensure appropriate financial reporting and information is available across our funding portfolio.

· Supporting on financial and operational planning in-year, at mid-year review and in planning for future years, in line with our strategy.

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The Person

Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector is advantageous, as is knowledge of different funders, philanthropic foundations, government departments, international organisations, businesses, and NGOs (grants and donor reporting). The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels are essential.

In this role you will lead a team of c6 Legacy Partnership Managers and a Performance and Operations Manager, based regionally, who deliver the team's regional strategy by managing relationships with c.800 law firms providing our Will Writing services across the UK

Gifts in Wills (or ) account for around a third of our income. In 2023/24, we received from legacies to fund our life-saving research.

In this role you will be helping to define the Professional audience engagement strategy and translate it into divisional strategies for your team to go out and deliver. We are looking for candidates either with a background in Legacies or Financial services, who have experience partnering and managing relationships with professionals audiences. You'll be solution driven and an expert identifying areas for continuous improvements and growth.

What will I be doing?

• Working collaboratively with legacy colleagues to develop, plan and oversee the delivery of the professional partnership engagement strategy

• Support the Performance Manager in monitoring and reporting on the growth and engagement of our professional network

• Work as part of cross-functional team to maintain our market share by developing a community of best practice in building professional partnerships focussing efforts and resources in areas to optimise impact

• Lead the development of the professional partner engagement strategy, working collaboratively with colleagues to oversee, monitor and report on performance against objectives and KPIs

• Working with product development teams, commission insight to inform new engagement tools and products for this audience

• Manage and motivate a team of Legacy Partnership Managers to enhance professional partner engagement activity and building on these relationships, where appropriate, to complement the legacy giving product strategies

About the role

You will work cross-functionally to break down silos, develop an integrated digital strategy, and rapidly scale up our digital activity to meet our fundraising growth ambitions. You’ll support across teams with testing and innovating new products and propositions.

This role will require a digital strategist with experience across the mix – from mobilisation and campaigning to fundraising and supporter experience. You’ll have ample experience and/or knowledge of a wide variety of digital platforms and tools including CMS systems, Google Analytics, PowerBi, Impact Stack/Engaging Networks, MailChimp, social media and Adwords.

About the opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in London.

• The London Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The London Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset.
