The Independent Living Medication Support Service (ILMSS) in Lambeth is a community-based floating support service designed for adults with primary mental health needs and often dual diagnoses.

The service aims to help individuals stay well, avoid hospitalisation, and live independently in the community. The service provides one-to-one support in customer's homes to build awareness, routines, and skills for medication management. Furthermore, it aims to support customers with housing, benefits, and social issues through short-term interventions.

As Service Manager for the Lambeth ILMS service, you will lead a dynamic team delivering floating support to 105 customers and medication support to 35 customers across the borough. Leadership and competence development in direct reports is a key responsibility of the role. Post-holders may also carry client group specialism responsibilities, linking in with other Managers and Head of Services to ensure focused integration of specialisms across the whole organisation.

The working pattern for this role is primarily Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional requirements for weekend and out-of-hours work to meet service needs.

As a key member of the programmes team, the post holder will be responsible for planning and implementing a portfolio of impactful programmes across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe using sport as a development tool for social change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and manage a caseload of grants, including institutional and internal grants. This includes assessing competencies of organisations and developing organisational plans with grantees
• To support the ongoing development of grantees through capacity building, and providing networking opportunities
• To support the Sport for Good Development Team in their applications to institutional funders, trusts and foundations, providing input and advice as requested
• To ensure grant-management requirements for Sport for Good and external funding are met successfully
• To work closely with grantees responsibly to source narratives of individual and community transformation to support development of donor relationships and communication 
• To provide good customer care to grantees, maintaining regular but appropriate contact and safeguarding their interests
• To undertake monitoring trips, conducting site assessments to international and UK based projects

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience from working in a charity or foundation with focus on international development
• Experience of submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors and trusts and foundations
• Strong track record of successful management of all reporting requirements associated with grants received from third parties
• Good project management skills, with experience delivering or grant-managing projects internationally; able to work on multiple tasks and to prioritise these to meet deadlines
• Affinity to sport, understanding of sport as a power for development 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
• Basic budgeting and financial management experience, able to understand the link between finance and operations
• Ability to work cross-organisationally with multiple stakeholders in the realisation of shared goals

We have one permanent Funding Officer position in the Yorkshire and the Humber regional team.

Join us as a Funding Officer and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to communities across the region. Working as part of the Yorkshire and the Humber team as part of a team of 20 colleagues you will combine hybrid working - either from home, our Leeds office adjacent to Leeds station, or project visits, to understand how and where amazing people and organisations are transforming neighbourhoods.

If you have previous experience for a funder, then that is great but it’s not a necessity.

• You will need to be confident with comprehension and writing because you will be working with those applying for grants to advise and support them as necessary to develop proposals including project budgets.
   
• You’ll work with your colleagues to assess and recommend projects for funding. Some days you’ll be attending funders fairs, in person or online, whilst on others you may be meeting with Councils or other funders to share information about need and funding in a particular neighbourhood.
   
• You’ll also have responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure they are on track. If you have experience of the voluntary sector that would be ideal, particularly in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

• Work with talent team colleagues to create engagement opportunities with Laureus Academy Members and Ambassadors that support HNW engagement and stewardship

Purpose

The Fundraising Development Officer supports the delivery of our individual giving programme, helping to nurture current supporters and attract new ones.

You will be responsible for building our regular giving support, implementing supporter journeys and co-ordinating our annual appeals. You will also work closely with the Head of Fundraising in developing our major donor plans, and support with other individual giving channels, including in-memory giving and legacy giving. 

The role also takes a lead on prospect research, supporting the development of our portfolio of high-value prospects. Through detailed research on prospects and donors, you will build prospect pipelines that will support income growth across the fundraising team. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will see you supporting individual fundraisers across the team nd strengthening the prospect pipelines that drive income at the highest levels. You will use a range of sources to obtain relevant information that can contribute to proposals, communications and donation strategies. 

We are looking for someone who has great communication and research skills, and a collaborative approach. You will be a self-motivated, proactive and analytical individual with the ability to build, manage and develop relationships across teams. 

While a background in fundraising or prospect research is desirable, it is not essential. If you bring the right skills and are willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you. 

Key responsibilities and duties 

• Manage our ‘Friends of Charlie Waller’ regular giving scheme, building the supporter numbers and engagement with the charity. 

• Deliver exceptional supporter care to our regular supporters, recognising opportunities for deeper engagement and potential for further support. 

• Implement the supporter journeys for regular and one-off donors, creating communications to engage them with the cause and understand the impact. 

• Co-ordinate our appeals cycle, working closely with colleagues across the charity to collate appeal content, including case studies, statistics and images. 

• Support the development of our major donor plans, identifying prospects within our supporter base and assisting with stewardship plans.

• Support the development of our plans for building in-memory and legacy giving, including stewardship and cultivation events. 

• Undertake detailed research on prospects and donors to grow our portfolio of high-value supporters, including individuals, corporates and trusts. 

• Complete due diligence checks on prospective supporters, in line with the Trust’s donations acceptance policy.

• Monitor research subscriptions & news alerts to identify new opportunities. 

• Share insight and knowledge on the latest trends in philanthropy and corporate giving with the rest of the team.

• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required. 

• Attend CWT events as appropriate to establish new contacts, develop existing relationships, and raise the profile of CWT with potential supporters. 

• Ensure that systems and processes are effective, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.

• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.  

• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

The digital skills gap is costing the UK economy an estimated £63 billion a year in lost GDP. Ada seeks to fill this skills gap by equipping young with the skills industry actually needs.

Ada was announced by the Prime Minister in December 2014; England’s first new FE College since 1993 and since then we’ve gone from strength  to strength including a Good with Outstanding features in our first Ofsted Inspection.

16-19 Provision:

As of 2024, we have 187 16-19 students enrolled. Our most recent results are outstanding; 39% of A level results at A*- B and 74% achieving at least one Distinction or better in their externally assessed  Computing BTEC. This makes us the best education institution in the country for this BTEC.

Degree Apprenticeships:

Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. We specialise in five disciplines at present: software development, data analytics, tech consultancy, cyber security and business analysis, working with a wide range of SMEs and corporate organisations such as PwC, Bank of America, Deloitte, Clearscore, Just Eat, Capita, MHRA, Booking,com and Salesforce.

Key Aspects of the role & main duties and responsibilities:

• Promote Ada at outreach events (careers fairs, assemblies, workshops) across Greater Manchester with the aim of meeting our application, offer holder and enrolment targets.
• Engage and network with school contacts to ensure growth of Ada’s active contacts in outreach database.
• Manage and maintain of the school database to support outreach communications.
• Assist with event planning, administration and delivery including Outreach events, Careers Fairs, Open Days, School visits to Ada and Keep Warm events - This may involve commitment on some weekends and will require evenings and earlier starts.
• Ensure we are on track to meet our targets for the volume of applications, offers and ultimately enrolments for our new Manchester Sixth Form and ensure we meet our diversity targets.
• Support the administration of the Sixth Form application process including dealing with enquiries to the inbox and on the phone in a timely manner.
•  Sending application communications including invitations for assessment, offers and enrollment paperwork,  data entry and keeping accurate records of all applicants and their information within the customer relationship management tools (Salesforce, Civica and others).
• Accurate record keeping and data entry into Ada’s systems to produce insightful reports to drive recruitment and inform the leadership team.
• Administration and processing of students enrolments on GCSE results days and afterwards.
• Support with creation of Marketing materials for outreach campaigns and events.
